We got there during prime time and it wasn't particularly busy on the patio. We asked for a shadier table and our choices were to be put way at the end where no one was or keep the table in the sun. We were told it was server rotation issue. Like I care. I let it go, it was just annoying. The half chicken dinner with mango BBQ space was on point as was the wine country salad. The dirty martini and kettle tonic were mediocre. They need to invest in better brine and tonic. They chose Jim Beam for their majority bourbon line up which probably appeals to most. I'll likely go back and give them another shot because the food and service was good.

Great atmosphere, diverse menu, attractive decor, and courteous and knowledgeable wait staff! The outdoor seating is like a little private garden in the middle of a busy shopping district and the fire pit makes a cozy lounge spot for a glass of wine. My favorite appetizer is the ahi tuna with fried wontons and cabbage. I stopped at lunch this time and tried their blue cheeseburger with bacon and carmelized onions with a side of mashed potatoes. Fantastic! The burger was medium rare (at my request) and just melted in my mouth. A+ experience!

The BEST restaurant in the South Metro for something a little more refined, but not over the top expensive. Everything we order the had been great! Great ambiance. Awesome fireplace in the winter. Cool patio and outdoor bar in the summer as well. I love the smell of this place, even when you are just driving by!

Love this place. They just did a new menu so it s always evolving. We go about five times a month and never have anything but great service. The appetizers are perfect for sharing. The restaurant also has a gluten free list. The bartenders are funny and the staff always smiles.

Great Atmosphere, most of the food is very good. Nice craft beer selection and a nice wine selection. In the warmer months the outside area is great for dinner or just drinks. This is a very solid "Date night" place.

The 2 of us came here for date night. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive, the food was great, and we met the manager to tell her about our wonderful experience. We come here because the food and atmosphere is always great. We'll keep coming back! Thanks, Jessica!

Please consider the consequences of your incomplet...

Please consider the consequences of your incomplete reporting on this story because your followers are now gearing up to take action on Porter Creek based on your report. The results could be incredibly, unfairly, damaging to a local business that employs a lot of people during a very difficult time for restaurant operators and their employees.

If a private business decides to publicly air their political affiliations and pick and choose their customers based on their political affiliations then let the free market sort it out for everyone. That's the businesses's choice and by doing as much they are willfully choosing to accept any outcomes as a result.

However.............in this instance you are only telling one side of the story here and did not even wait for the owner or restaurant group to be able to respond and share their side of the events before you published this story. Did you corroborate or attempt to corroborate Mr. Aberle's account of the events with any staff or other patrons that aren't friends of Mr. Aberle's? Does the owner or this restaurant group have a history of publicly airing their political affiliations?

You also chose to share other stories about Mr. Aberle that paint him in a very positive light, but even a simple Google search turns up other, unflattering stories, about Mr. Aberle and his alias "Greg Peterson". Why did you selectively choose to share the great, positive, stories, but not the stories that share a different side of Mr. Aberle? Were there also not positive stories about the business that you could share?

If Mr. Aberle is the victim of unnecessary political shaming then job well done, Kyle and Alpha News. But if he is guilty of behavior that justifiably caused his banning then your incomplete reporting has just created some serious damage to a locally owned business and all of its employees during very difficult times for everyone.

We only stopped in for dessert and checked ahead to see that it wasn't a problem and it wasn't. Our server was excellent, she was attentive without being intrusive, very friendly and accommodating. The salted caramel syrup on the molten chocolate cake was amazing. Beautifully finished and very comfortable environment. Only drawback was we were in a booth near the door and it was really cold (but it was -11 degrees out)

Highly recommend and will go back!

Cozy atmosphere in winter, great patio during summer months. I love coming in here after 9pm for half price flatbreads and apps! They have a very good buffalo mac n cheese. And I love the artichoke fondue kettle.

I ve eaten there around 15 times in the past year - always with good results. I love their flat bread creations - especially the apricot and artichoke ones. My wife likes their steak entrees - but my cardiologist would know if I had one. (I think she has spies at all the best restaurants).
I enjoy the ambiance - especially the outdoors tables on warm days. In the winter their outdoor gas heaters are not only beautiful but you can even stay warm on at least one side. So I recommend turning every so often so the other side gets warm too - kind of rotisserie-like.
One of the things I like is they they re so big that I almost always can get in without a long wait.
So - good food, little waiting, pleasant surroundings - what s not to like?

I really liked the design/interior. It felt upscale but comfortable. Food was great, beer selection was decent. It's not the cheapest place, but that shouldn't be a surprise walking in. I felt it was worth it.

Excellent table service, Katie is an exceptional server! Very impressive. First time ate here, if greeting/ hosting/ reservation experience was more experienced& pleasant, would be 5 star, good prices, delicous food, great flavor. The vanilla latte to end with was one of the best I've ever tasted& was beautiful thanks to Katie again!

I have celiacs disease and explained to the waiter that I can't have food that comes into contact with bread or wheat. I get very sick. My food arrived with a chunk of bread on top. I asked for another as they must have not understood. I'm not sure if the waiter then proceeded to crumble it on top to get back at me, but I've been throwing up for two days now; I'm losing the will to live.

Food is excellent. Sat at the bar though and the bartender and servers were having very loud and unprofessional conversations. They apologized and toned it down after I bluntly told them that they needed to. For the price/quality of food they really shouldn't need to be told though.

Fantastic Mother's Day Dinner. We had a reservation, showed up early and they were ready for us even though the parking lot was nearly full and some people had parked on the street. Our waitress, Jen, was very knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and didn't try to push sales as some other reviewers have said. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their food, having ordered a variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and steaks. We all agreed that the Rosewater cake I had for dessert was to die for. We were seated in a booth between the bar and the kitchen. I did not find the bar noise to be too loud, as others have said, and the entertainment of watching the kitchen action through soundproof glass was a cool, unexpected bonus. Great atmosphere. Thanks Porter Creek!

Best place to go before or after seeing a movie at the nearby theatre. Even when the parking lot looks full the atmosphere is open and each seating area inside is intimate. The outdoor patio area is beautiful and the service is outstanding.

This place has a nice relaxed atmosphere with great food. My personal favorite is Buffalo Mac! Try it! Make sure to save a piece of bread to lap up the extra sauce! It is only available during lunch, but worth it.

Talk about underwhelming & pretentious. We went here strictly to try something similar yet different then Doolittle s. We tried to get a reservation over the phone. Was told it would be 2-3hrs before we got in. However we could simply show up now and get right in. I m still trying to understand that logic. We showed up and were promptly seated on the outdoor patio. The waitress came by to chat and began to tell us how they were the premier Wood Fired restaurant in the area. However after me telling her that we were comparing this with Doolittle s she changed course and said they were both owned by the same company. This made no sense and only made me second guess everything she said for the remainder of our visit. As for the drinks and food it was actually very disappointing. I ordered the Braised Bacon Burger. It was a hot mess. The burger undercooked, soggy bun and the bacon not bacon but instead shredded pork. This all made the meal repulsive and inedible. Even the french fries seemed lack luster. The others in my party also had hard times finishing their meals completely not for a lack of appetite. We ate more of the free bread then anything. In all I would definitely say that while Doolittle s can be hit and miss, for wood fired food in the Burnsville area I highly recommend Doolittle s over Porter House hands down. I won t be back here again.

It was my birthday today and I was celebrating it with my friend. We each ordered flatbread combo. After eating part of one we found a black hair in the flatbread. We mentioned it to the waiter and he mentioned it to the manager. They suggested another flatbread. By that time it wasn't appealing to having another flatbread after finding a black hair in it. I feel one of the flatbread should have been taken off the bill. Table 603 - 1

Really nice food, would recommend the chicken! Steaks are also good, but can be a bit pricey. Needs more vegetarian options and desserts though - menu has changed maybe twice since the establishment opened years ago.
