This is one of my favourite sandwich places in Toronto. Love their Porchetta house special and OG fried chicken sandwiches.
This is one of my favourite sandwich places in Toronto. Love their Porchetta house special and OG fried chicken sandwiches.
Stopped in for an early Friday dinner with some friends. We ordered two OG Chicken Sandwiches, 1 porchetta house sandwich, fries supreme, coleslaw and an arancini rice ball. I was blown away by the sandwiches, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the sourdough bun complimented it perfectly. The sides weren't actually that great, the coleslaw had a pool of mayo-water at the bottom which stopped us from eating it, the fries were cold and topping mushy, arancini was small. I would recommend going, but stick to their mains since that's what they're known for. Will definitely return for the OG chicken!
Wanted to order at the counter but had to order through an app. Otherwise happy with everything.
The house special is very special indeed. Up there with the best hot sandwiches ever. Killer fillings. A bun that's both crispy & soft. Beware the crackling tho, you don't want a trip to the dentist.
The quality at the King St. location is really inconsistent. Dundas was the best, sad to see that its closed.
Fried chicken plate was delicious. The generously sized chicken was not dry and tasted great. The porchetta plate was disappointing though. Very small portion for the cost.
Delicious. Though the porchetta is very good, the real kicker here is the fried chicken
Amazing pork sandwiches. Not too many options but they don't need extras! I could eat these sandwiches every day.
Best pork sandwiches ever!! You really gotta try this place. Not much seating but I'm pretty sure they have a take out option if the place is packed. Not quite sure how busy it gets here but people seem accommodating that come here
When you first walk in..you notice the coziness of it all. Small and with sharing tables. Menus are right by the door. Its a walk in, order and pick up your meal type of ordeal. The simpliest of sandwiches you get, the first thing you notice is the bun. Most light yet tasty bun that compliments the meat inside. Mustard is also a good touch which you can grab more of on the side. Not too salty and not overpowered by sauces...its a good quick grab place to go.
Delicious meat and salad combo with friendly service
Great sandwiches! A bit too much sauce but it did taste delicious. Service was quick and easy.
Decent sandwich but expensive and I was not hungry enough to finish it.
Date Night with Hubby! 2 House Specials. One with Rapini with Fries Supreme, Waterloo Grapefruit Raddler and a Detour. Sooo good!!!
Decent food in a great location. Food was prepared very quickly and staff was friendly.
Nice service and the meat was good but a bit Pricey
Had OG sandwich, was really good, arrived slightly different looking than the pictures but overall a very tasty sandwich.
Some of the best bites of food I had during this week in Toronto. The porchetta special was delicious as was the chicken sandwich. Service was friendly and efficient even though they were quite busy. Will be back next time in Toronto.
Service was so bad this past Sunday morning...cashier was so unfriendly
Best Fried Chicken Sandwich I've ever had.
Friendly and service, clean location.
From Chicago. Been to Porchetta and Co twice. I think about the "house special" on a daily basis. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had.
Quality has gone downhill. Please clean your chicken properly before cooking. Found a feather & huge vein in my sandwich
Cozy spot with decent sandwiches!! Not the healthiest option but they taste great.
The bun and the mustard definitely elevates the experience to another level
So we come to this place with no expectations, immediately some drunk couple is leaving the restaurant with all the garbage on the table and even had the god damn audacity to look the lovely lady in the face and basically tell her to do it. Regardless it was handled with class and we had no problem with it. Let me tell you... I have never had a mother flippin chicken sandwich that was so good. Honest. Thing was dressed like a Mac and my god, the supreme fries... basically Taco Bell with 50x better fries and a homemade cheese sauce. 12 out of 10 would recommend, plus it s cheap and you can get beer here. The Bees Knees, Porchetta and Co.
The Boyfriend
I have no words to say about it. It was mediocre at best. They put a bit too much of Frank's hot sauce (?). It's not a bad place to eat, the prices weren't bad either. But there's nothing special about it. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing bad about it, it's just not mind blowing to me, and considering that there are other places around the area, I would go there over Porchetta.
I ve tried Porchetta twice, and both times have been a little underwhelming. I never expect the food I m ordering to look exactly like the advertisements, but this is pretty drastic. I ve attached photos of the sandwiches I ordered vs. the sandwiches I received.
Some of the other reviews look really good, so maybe I just came on two bad days? However, there are so many great sandwich places in Toronto, I don t think I ll be trying Porchetta again.
Have had a few different dishes here and all have been really good. Found a new favourite fried chicken sandwich.
Overrated. It gets 2 stars only because it's slowly killing hipsters with their over salted food. The fries are essentially salt sticks. The fried chicken, probably the 17th best in the city if that, it doesn't even deserve a ranking. I'd give this place another star if the exposed pipes actually do something, if they're just for show one star rating. Honestly, don't bother coming here.
I don t get the hype. Maybe I ll give it another try. Sandwich was okay for me.
the Prochetta sandwich is great and it smells amazing. If you are hungry i would go for the platter, but your afternoon productivity may drop after that lol. I usually just get it to go since there isn't that much seating inside.
The sandwiches were tasty definitely not worth the price. Customer service is absolutely horrible I felt very disrespected and not heard. They are so many great places to eat in Toronto, please do not waste your time here. I do not know how they have 4 star rating.
Move over plain old ham sandwich, someone has taken pork sandwiches to the next level. The only complaint that I had from this was that there wasn't enough pork! I could have easily eaten 5 of these sandwiches... Infact skip the bun the pork is that good. Little bits of crackling sprinkled over the meat with a grainy mustard that will aliven your taste buds. Definitely making this place a weekly pit stop on my way home.
Quick service and delicious food. They have specials every now and then. Be sure to catch one of them
I have never sat down in the restaurant to eat although I have taken out a couple of times and was never disappointed. The fried chicken sandwiches were really good although maybe a tiny bit salty and I am looking forward to getting the porchetta the next time I go there.
Everything was delicious. Might be hard to get seating during lunch rush.
Definitely my favorite Toronto based hot porchetta sandwich chain
It was alright experience and pretty tasty parm chicken sandwich
Their house special sandwich was really delicious! All the sauces complemented each other really well without being overpowering.
The best example of do one thing and do it well! Always get the crackling! The breast literally melts in your mouth
Amazing sandwich shop. Great pork sandwich. Check out their weekly specials too
I swear by these sandwiches. One bonus is the fried chicken is always on the menu at this location, whereas it's on special at Dundas. Also the porchetta plates are delicious a must visit for the classic Toronto sandwich, porchetta and fried chicken.
One of the best in the city, love me some Porchetta & Co. The weekly features are always great, but you can't go wrong with the house special. The grainy mustard is a must have.
I just read Johns review about the Dundas street location and I too have encountered displeasure with the staff, they are extremely rude and behaved terribly, I too think that because they are young and immature that they think they can get away with it.
What a great idea to voice your own displeasure, I boycott Porchetta & Co and with all the technology in place we can force business' alike to behave more appropriately.
Boycott!
I love love love, the house sandwich from here I cant say I've had the whole menu but they offer a variety of options, lots of sides as well. The house sandwich is the way to go in my opinion though
O.M.G. The crispy porcetta is soooooo good. I ve been searching for something like this for a while. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy. The mustard just brings everything together. Must try. Would eat it everyday if it wasn t so far from me.
