Pontiac Marriott at Centerpoint Review

I just love the hotel. Delicious food and desserts! Beautiful ambiance. Beyond charming atmosphere.

Hosted View of the U (University of Michigan). Very fancy, great dining hall, friendly and helpful staff

Great place to stay. Although, cell phone calls from room seem to receive interference from nearby power lines. That doesn't seem right.

Hotel equipped with all comforts, including indoor pool and restaurant. Excellent breakfast. Strategic position for those working in FCA, given the proximity to the Chrisler Technical Center and the NAFTA Benchmarking center. Ample parking.

The rooms where very clean and the food amd service was amazing.

I was really impressed with the hotel staff. All the employees we interacted with (the driver of the shuttle bus, multiple concierges, and the bartender were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The hotel itself was recently renovated and both the rooms, main lobby and restaurant look great. The bathroom in our room in particular looked great however the shower was level with the floor of the rest of the washroom so we had to put towels down so the whole floor didnt get soaked. As for the location, it was very convenient for us to take a short shuttle bus ride to a car show and to travel in the area and to Woodward Avenue for food options. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Pontiac, Michigan.

standard Marriott format with M-club. Good selections on breakfast.
Opportunities for improvement:
Facility need some upgrade, especially inside the elevator.
For some reason, room felt a bit small (size/ sq ft).

I was was there for a dinner banquet. The setting and service was fantastic. Dinner was served in a timely manner and was very enjoyable. Overall experience with the facility and staff was a great.

Great property that actually has their restaurant and lounge open. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant has really good food. The lounge has limited options but its still nice to have access.

I was in a room that the lock on the door didnt work so i was either locked in or out for 2 days i brought it to the attention of the front desk when it first happened they said pull the door and turn the handle a bit it only worked a few times. It wasnt until my last night that they decided that they should switch me rooms after i was locked out for 30min while i waited for the front desk employee to get free time to help me in the room( he was very nice). If there had been an emergency id of been locked in my room unacceptable

I stayed at this hotel from 30th September to 2nd October and they charged my card for additional $50 and promised to refund the back in 3 days. It's been more than a week and I have not the money refunded back. I stayed at quite a few Marriott in different states and they have always refunded the money back in 48 hrs.
This guys says its a hold. Understand there is nothing like a hold, there is only a charge on cards.

Excellent hotel. Clean. Great bar and in house restaurant. But slow and too few elevators, especially with a full house.

I was great, I love the updates they put in, I just wish the could have Canadien channel CBC the 15 people j was with were bumbed tgey could watch Hockey Night in Canada.
