You all recently took over The Wylde. I lived in this community for a while. The first 90-days of how it's been managed is disappointing. PMR isn't off to a positive start. Everything from management, communication and cleanliness is a complete downgrade from what this property has had in the past.
On April 1, 2021, the manager who was introduced on our resident welcome letter was present, but two weeks later she was ghost. Were residents notified of the change? NO! The communication is unprofessional. Not one email, community text or newsletter was sent or posted informing residents of the change.
April 16, 2021 the water was turned off WITHOUT informing residents prior. I remember it was turned off before 9:30am and residents weren't notified until 11:08am via text. Why couldn't the property manager notify residents prior to having the company shut it off? The water wasn't turned back on until after 10:30pm. That's unacceptable!
In the 9+ years I've been a resident, NEVER have GoldOller, Buckingham or Barrett & Stokely kept the water off the entire time the office was open and after hours! If the problem wasn't fixed during office hours, the company restores the community with water before leasing closes and come back the next business day to continue the work. You don't leave your residents with no access to water in their units. That's inconsiderate!
I'm not sure what maintenance does the first hour of their shift, but in the past, Thomas, Ryan and Jose would be seen keeping the community clean by picking up the trash and debris around the property--whether if it's in the grass, in the carport or on the lot. I've taking photos of trash on the property and it'll still be there days later. Is cleanliness not apart of their responsibilities?! I've watched the grass get cut and the landscaper would go around paper and bottles that weren't picked up. Before tending to work orders, the property should get attention.
To add to the cleanliness, what happened to the company who cleaned our buildings? Our buildings shouldn't look like haunted houses, with loose grass, spider webs on railings, food droppings and trash in the hallways. If I see trash on the stairs or even near my unit or neighbor's unit, I will discard it. However, it's not our job to ensure the interior is presentable. The property has only been renovated for about 3yrs. I voiced my concern to Barrett & Stokely multiple times. Now I'm informing PMR too the service needs to continue--whether if they come once a week or twice a month.
You all want us to refer residents to this community, but the property is not worth raving about anymore because it's not well-kept. I'm sure the office/clubhouse and model units look immaculate, but the interior of some buildings (like mine) have spider webs, mud/dirt, and trash on the carpet. The access to amenities is limited. Our pool still HAS NOT opened and we're halfway through summer.
Communication most definitely needs to be addressed. I had an experience with 5-Star Pest Solutions entering my unit without me receiving any notification from the office. When I called to get clarification about why they entered without my knowledge, the staff said I was the wrong unit and would let the manager know to contact me after their meeting.
No one in management followed-up with me to explain the mishap. For the record, I DID NOT REQUEST THIS SERVICE. Management or maintenance had to provide them the keys to my unit for service. I continued to call last week to address the issue, but interestingly no one answered the phone. Again, the communication is broken.
From my observation, PMR doesn't appear to be community-oriented or resident-driven. We don't receive an e-newsletter, get holiday reminders (when the office is closed), attention reminders (pet policy, grilling safety, updates, etc), have community gatherings, participate in contest/raffles, celebrate national days (ice cream, pizza, donut, etc). Unfortunately, it seems like you all took over what was upgraded to downgrade us. :(
