This is a great place to spend an afternoon! Period actors are spot-on and never go out of character in discussions. Informative AND entertaining.
I was there for the 1627 Harvest Feast, for the second year in a row. Awesome food, again entertained and informed by the actors hosting the event.
Let the buyer beware: the arrangements can vary from one year to the next! This year was hugely expanded to accommodate something like 190 guests. Instead of the round tables of last year, that made for easy conversations, dinner was served at long trench tables. And where you could find your own table last year, this year the plan was to seat people alphabetically by reservation -- a disaster for a group that had made independent reservations!! Fortunately they were able to accommodate us, and the effects, however impatiently delivered, were much appreciated. Word to the wise: appoint a single spokesperson from your group to communicate with the coordinating staff. Too many people talking without understanding can lead to frustrating communication errors.
Overall, the experience is delightful, and I highly recommend it!
