Reasonably priced American diner food in a great atmosphere
Fabulous experience! Delicious food, excellent service, and fun atmosphere. We were thrilled to find this place for our kids!
Average diner fare. Sadly, as Planet Java, you would hope the coffee would be decent but it was burned and not doctorable with cream and sugar.
Veggie sausage options, btw! Great atmosphere. Lovely service. Cool part of Seattle. Perfect diner spot.
I really enjoyed this place. Very nice service and they make you feel welcome and good. Coffee is great, but it's hard to get bad coffee in Seattle.
I had chicken fried steak and eggs. Great texture and savory flavor on the steak. Gravy is very good. The breakfast is a great portion and very satisfying and filing. Perfect hash browns.
Very traditional diner, excellent food and prices, great atmosphere.
Update: After multiple visits, we are basically done going here. It s really sad because everything is wonderful EXCEPT the always extremely rude host/ busser. Not the blonde waitress, she is great!! Really a huge bummer because the host / busser ruins the experience. We ve witnessed her be mean to other patrons, not just us. Really sad.
Sweet little family owned and run home style diner. Great coffee, hash browns, pancakes, scrambles, and all the good things that make a diner good. Super attentive waitress that serves good food, quickly. Never left wanting a thing! They always deliver great food at good prices.
Great breakfast, cool aesthetic. Nails the diner style better than most.
The place was ok. The food was average, but for the price, you'd expect the food to be memorable, which it wasn't.
Excellent place for breakfast! Serving size and price just right. The BEST scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. Yum!
Simple diner with tasty/cheap food. Gets packed for brunch before Seahawks games
Fast & nice service with filing dinner food in a fun environment
best diner ever, delicious breakfasts and lunches, lots of options. great waitstaff. kitschy art.
Are you looking for delicious simple diner food? But also a full espresso bar? This place. We really really enjoyed it!! So good.
I love this place. reasonable prices and great service.
Delish and super friendly. Very busy! Long wait but worth it!
Fantastic 50's style diner.
When we entered they were relatively busy but we were still sat right away and so was everyone who came in after us. The staff were personable as well. The interior aesthetic was very retro and inviting but what will keep us coming back was the breakfast. As far as price goes it was relatively inexpensive. The most expensive thing on the menu was $11. This is a great family dining/local hangout spot. We will be going back soon.
Pictured: Exterior of the building from 2 angles and our food.
Funky diner with a 50s vibe. Good food, reasonable prices, great service.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Awesome decor. Friendly service. I had and would highly recommend the chicken friend steak. It was nice to find a place that makes breakfast similar to my home breakfasts in Montana.
Very friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was very good and was even told by other patrons that it is "the best breakfast in town" which I agree with.
Blazing fast order and service! Our food came in less than 10 minutes! I had a delicious "Diner Sandwich" (breakfast sandwich on a croissant). Mmmm it was so good!
Great doctors sir vibe with a super friendly staff. Went in for a quick lunch and everything moved like a well oiled machine. One of my favorite things is their food is normal human sized and not crazy gigantic so you can actually finish your meal. I will definitely be back again.
Quirky!! Basic diner fare, but handy in its location if you are a ferry traveler
The whole place smells like the type of thrift shop that sells pee stained couches, the food was mediocre, and the prices were a way too high for what they were serving.
Excellent American breakfast, cool decor and friendly staff. A unique place for some grub!
The ony (I Think) diner in down town.. the food is amazing great prices can get busy but its down home cooked meals with amazing Staff! I go here 2-3 times a week.. breakfast is amazing . Usually a line out the door when they open .. if you get a chance go...
Great atmosphere and food under 10$. Grab some food and then head across the street for a music mesuem that is pretty cool to.
Consistent. Nice people. Would be nice to have alcohol, but not a deal breaker. Classic American diner food. Be aware that this place gets a little busy on game days.
Ok for traditional American breakfast. Get the chorizo sausage when they have it.
Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. The bill was appropriate.
Super friendly staff, quick service, delicious food, great coffee! I had the French toast with hash browns and an Americano with milk! Cute decor, and fair prices! Only positives!! Xx
Great diner experience, great food, great service! Got the fastest cup of coffee in front of me I've had in the 2 months I've been living in Seattle. Not designer or artisanal coffee--just the great basic drip you expect in a diner.
We had breakfast, which they serve all day. I had the garden scramble with feta cheese; veggies seemed fresh and not overcooked, hash browns were crispy just the way I like them (although they seem to be the usual reconstituted kind most diners use), and when I asked for honey with my English muffin the waitress asked if I wanted an extra plate to lay out the English muffin and pour honey over it. My husband had the Denver omelet and said it was good too.
Bottomless cup of coffee, attentive service without being too much. The decor is old-time diner: stainless steel table tops, kitsch on the walls. Bonus points to the young waitress for instantly being able to name the lead singer of Journey. All in all a great value just a few blocks away from where you'd pay much more for the same breakfast at Pike Place Market. Our breakfasts were around $8/apiece.
Great service, good diner food. I had the chicken bacon sandwich with tater tots.
Nice neighborhood location off the busy street. Quick and friendly service. Clean. Good diner food, nothing fancy.
Planet java in Seattle is a very cool cafe in pioneer square . I like all their food and drinks. Rock on . Fan, of your cafe. Miss ROSALINDA Calahorrano
Decent place. The food is nothing special but the staff is nice and the prices are not too high for this part of town.
Definitely avoid on game days, the crowds (and wait time) get insane when the area is full of sports fans, and they have a limited menu at those times as well.
Fun little diner hidden away. Food is great for the concept too. Great meal with a lot to take in.
Their omelettea are decent needed to add a little salt. Hashbrowns are a okay nothing to right home about and the gravy is sub-par at best no flavor of any note. Would go back though as they have a nice atmosphere and great staff.
Plain good food in a cool little clock filled diner.
Good American dinner food. Love their club sandwich.
Favorite place for diner style food within a walking distance of the CD/ID
Great spot for a quick breakfast in the morning. Styled cafe with a nice selection of breakfast items. They also have lunch and dinner I believe but I've only had breakfast which is standard fair but always hot, fast, and tasty.
It did what it was supposed to do and that was fill our bellies. Nothing super spectacular to say but it wasn't terrible. We had breakfast food which is hard to mess up. Service was good and the kids loved the hot chocolate.
Not bad. Service was fast. Got a Ruben and fries. Pastrami was super tough, though tasty. Fries were a bit anemic and flaccid. Friendly staff! Fair price!
This food was murder on my stomach, sharp stomach pains all the way for a day from this horrible stuff! NEVER AGAIN!!!
I needed my American diner fix before leaving the states. This place screams classic 50s dinner and the food is just what you need when not guilting yourself into being healthy.
The basic diner experience. Nothing special but good food. Excellent service.
Food: A+
Service: A+
Decoration: A+
Great restaurant for breakfast! The service is friendly and fast
The service staff was very nice and friendly. The hash browns we're just what they ought to be, crisp and tasty. But the coffee was just okay, and the biscuits and gravy was just disgusting. Disappointing and gross. No flavor and paste like.
Had the garden eggs. SOOO GOOD. And awesome customer service. They have delicious gluten free bread.
Went here while on vacation in Seattle and it was great breakfast food, good service too. They were quick and friendly. Fun environment also.
This is my favorite place to get breakfast! The staff is always so friendly and the food is hot and tasty. I usually rotate between Biscuits and Gravey and the omelets.
One of my fav diners. Super cute and fun with decor that will entertain you while you wait for your food. Shoutout to the creative latte art and butterscotch chip pancakes!
