Fascinating place, pieces of our history. A fun day. Close to "Yanks Air Museum" so you can definitely get your fill of legendary planes at both locations.
Great history , interesting, fun, worth driving there
How very fun walking around looking At all the stuff
Been a museum of choice since I was a little kid. Has grown into a marvelous sight. Hope more people visit to keep those important parts of history in the air.
Beautiful Museum. Very well run. Lots of awesome aircraft. Most are are worthy.
Great tour, wonderful collection of aircraft, Gary Bessano and Pat Kelly were excellent tour guides, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Delightful time!
Respect, this exhibition is worth every penny. I could have stayed there much longer
we went there as part of a car club event and enjoyed the tour and history on hand. we saw lots of old and uncommon planes and enjoyed their conservancy efforts.
WOOOOW....What a Great place!
Beautyfull planes and history at Great location run by Awesome and very friendly people. A Must see !!
Greatest collection of warbird planes. They have the only authentic Zero, the last and only flying wing.
Adorable place! They have neat airplanes on display and historical people, events and places on the walls. We attended a wedding there, and it was picturesque! Perfect venue for a smaller crowd, indoors, and according to the newlyweds it was one of the cheapest places they found!
Attended a 40's dance & entertainment show. Very nice facilities & a very nice crowd. Almost all dressed up in WWII attire.
We always enjoy taking visitors to the area to see the great exhibits at Planes of Fame. Incredible to know that so many of the craft are airworthy and do fly regularly. Noticed a number of the exhibit signs were missing this time.
Many WW 1 & 2 and legendary aircraft displayed, awesome...
Amazing place! Steve and SteveO are true gents and will go out of their way for you. Some truly amazing pieces to see here, and most of it still flies!!
We had a field trip there and my son throughly enjoyed it!
The ultimate in world war II & beyond combat aircraft it just is the ultimate
This is a world-class aviation museum. Lots of rare, "only known example" type of exhibits. And most stuff is in flyable condition. Nice collection of stuff stored out on the tarmac, as well. If you're an avgeek, leave the nonbelievers at home, you're going to be a while. 5+
I enjoy going there you see all the old plans been in war II love the pilot tell us there store about War II
Aviation Nirvana! Must see. Plenty of historical planes. History buffs will enjoy this as well. Wander through several hangars of planes. The p-38 has it's own hangar.
There are lots of knowledgable volunteers to guide you and provide a little history on the planes. We really enjoyed it. It would be nice to go back when we can explore more.Due to COVID restrictions we were not able to explore close to the planes.
Great for kids. You can get very close to the planes.
Awesome place cool planes my be a lil small but worth it, there planes actually fly not just for show.
nice collection of flyable aircraft. knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Amazing. Just amazing. I loved it there, I recognized almost all of the planes. It is truly a sight to see.
Planes of Fame is more than a museum. It's who we are as a country, how we came to be in the world, the technology leading to Mars.
The people who developed the technology, and the teams who rebuilt the planes for flight. There is so much to learn .
Just a great time. So much history. Didn't even know Chino had an airplane museums.
So many of the planes at Planes of Fame are in flying condition. Many are all that are left. This is a special place.
Awesome! Took a few hours to finish seeing the planes and probably we skipped a few. My whole family enjoyed it and my 3 year old had a blast...

Was a great trip, was very cool to get up close and see these planes.
I consider this museum my home away from home. I'd honestly live here if I could. I love history and aviation and this Museum is perfect. I've visited maybe 4 times, I wish I could visit more often but I live far away. March Field Air Museum may have a B-29 and an SR-71 but when you want old war birds post war Jets, you can't beat Planes of Fame. You HAVE to visit this museum if you like Aviation or history. Even if you don't, visit anyways. They even have a Sherman Tank and you can go inside a real B-17 (by the way, they're trying to restore the B-17 so please donate If visit.). Full honesty, I Love the A6M Zero and, if I'm correct they have the only flying zero with the original Japanese engine. When I saw the Zero fly at an Airshow practice last year I teared up ngl. I never thought I'd get to see a zero fly. Much less next to a Spitfire and two Mustangs!
Best museum ever.
This place is one of the best air museums in America. I don't know what unappreciative people rate this place any lower than a 5, but they don't get how much time and money it takes to keep these aircraft of our history flying and in great shape. I love it every time I go there and I will never get bored seeing planes that there is only one of, like their P-26 Peashooter, or their FW 190. One of the best places to visit! Especially when they have their annual airshow in May!
We had a wonderful knowledgeable guide named Ray. We got to see 7 hangars full of airplanes. Very interesting stories. Highly recommend for anyone who likes planes and/or history.
So much to see and learn,
Enjoy every moment
The hanger dance is fun!
The kobo pizza truck outside was the worse food vendor I ever experienced. Took one hour for a line of 12 people to get to the window. Once at the window we were ignored for 20 minutes. Then for 2 comes they said will take 25 minutes to make!
PLEASE DO NOT INVITE KONO PIZZA NEXT YEAR....LOTS OF UNHAPPY PEOPLE ...
Love this museum. Had an awesome christmas party here and everything was perfect.
Fun place to spend an afternoon with a kid. The smell in the area was horrendous and I wish every plane had a short description of what it is.
This place was incredible tell many stories must come for your self..
Always alot of fun! If you love airplanes especially WW-2 check out their airshow they hold once a year. The mueseum is well worth the visit and staff is very friendly. Plan on spending the whole day there!
My sister had her wedding here and we all loved the planes they made it a great venue. A little confusing where to park and turn in to
If you are into classic planes this is your joint. Place was incredibly informative, tour was spot on. I took my cubscouts, but i think the museum went a little over their heads. I would totally go again.
Now this is what I like. WW2 warbirds and most in flying condition. Spent like 4 hours here and enjoyed every minute. Had a great guide who spent time with just me and the wife. Advantage of going on a weekday I think. One of the finest museums of its type I have ever seen. Their collection is amazing. More than any other I have seen. If this is the sort of thing that interests you, you have got to visit.
If you live anywhere near the 15 freeway and 91, or 60 or 10 freeway then this location is easy to reach. Excellent museum with 7 buildings and on sight docents that make your visit that much more interesting. Afterwards nearby Flo's Diner is another excellent stop.
I went to an air show held around GW every year. The spectacle of the first and second generation jets flying around themes, such as the European Front and the Pacific Front, is impressive. The heritage flight performed by active aircraft (F-22 etc.) and P-47, P-38, P-51 is also unique here.
Although it is not a flyable in the hanger, many valuable aircraft are displayed.
When I went there, I had just returned from returning home to Japan and there was no world-only Sakae engine-equipped zero-flight flight, but on the hanger I saw an unusual internal structure during overhaul.
Was here for my husband work christmas party, really enjoyed the place, plan to revisit with my nephews I know they will enjoy it. the party was fun good time was had by all.
Love this place! What a fantastic variety of planes. Everything in the hangars actually fly; which is impressive to me. Had a really fun time with my brother
Called today as a courtesy about bringing my registered companion animal and I was told they only allow service animals because they know what to do - legally, she is permitted everywhere I am with the exception of public transportation but for some reason an outdoor museum is out of the question? I ll spend my money at exhibits that care about the patrons mental health, thanks.
fabulous air museum with flying displays. lots of great history. a definite must see.
Nice place in town, Enjoyed the place. Will come back again for sure.
Excellent place to see retired aircraft and history!
IT WAS GREAT!!!
Everyone there were very friendly and informative.
I can't wait to come for the airshow!
Lots of vintage & modern airplanes, NASA satellies, gift shop, etc.
Great place to visit to see the restoration and flight of war planes in general. The events that they host are a one of a kind. Very knowledgeable staff ready to answer your aviation questions. Many great speakers like the ones yesterday, who are a testament of living history. It's a lifetime opportunity to go see the speakers, for they're dying out and in their 90's.
I can't wait until the 60th anniversary air show comes around the corner in May. It will be from the 6-7, and will be neat to watch.
I'm only 27 years of age but I have much respect for the ones who flew them to the ones who restore them.
My grandpa flew over the Pacific in WWII to escort bombers with the P-51D Mustang, and that's what I saw yesterday. What a beautiful piece of aviation machinery.
- "Good luck and Godspeed."
Some amazing and rare planes here for the aviation enthusiast. A good chunk are kept in flying condition, however some of the planes looked more like scrap than museum-pieces.
The staff were knowledgeable, which is good because the signage was sometimes missing.
If there's a particular plane you'd like to see, definitely check the website to make sure it's not flying somewhere.
What this museum does great is have flying midcentury fighters and a diverse collection of aircraft. What it does decently is allow visitors do be up close and personal with the aircraft. What it could do better is be a little more fulfilling as a museum as opposed to a stranger's hangar.
Wonderful private collections of war birds. A must see for any aviation enthusiast.
Aweosme place to have a function! The staff is super friendly, the museum is amazing and extreemy clean. We had a suprise 85th birthday party for my husbands grandpa there and it was the best!
Best tour guide Ive ever had and the artifacts and history here is amazing and interesting.
Amazing collection of old aircraft. The staff members are helpful and knowledgeable. It's a great way to spend a couple hours for anyone who loves planes.
Excellent place for airplanes lover. All aircraft are in excellent condition and clean.very cooperative reception staff
I grew up going to this Museum since the 1980s love it.
Restored and unrestored vintage planes. Mostly WWII era.
I love Planes of Fame !!! It completes my Alter Ego ...... whereby I missed my calling as an Aircraft Pilot in years gone by .
You can see and touch the real Zero Fighter
It is not just an exhibit but a place that keeps it flying
