It's been a while since I've visited the museum. First visit with COVID-19 protocol. The staff very helpful & safety precautions in place to see the aircraft. Most are pretty visible with just a few tucked in the corners

We love planes and this was the Perfect Place to see...Sorry we missed the Air Show...Numerous planes, a Working airplane maintenance and restoration area; See Real People do Real work to make these babies Fly again. Almost every era of Flying is represented and a Vast number of models of Airplanes were displayed, too. Be a contributor to the restoration of the B-24 and take pride in helping keep history alive. A great little gift shop for plane lovers, also. Go to the library and read about your favorite planes. TALK to the people you meet there; they Know airplanes.

Our family really enjoyed seeing all the amazing planes. One of the staff (probably a volunteer) was so awesome he walked with us and told us so many interesting facts. He was a real treat. The volunteers in the library we equally as kind and full of knowledge. Great place we will be back!

I've lived in the area for over twenty years and never visited this museum until now. We went with our homeschool group and had an amazing time! So many great airplanes and other things to see with so much history behind it. Definitely going back to see the air show in May!

In addition to the zero type fighter aircraft, Raiden, comets, etc. are also kept, it is a museum that preserves precious aircraft in history.
It is the only flightable zero game of the original engine in the world.

Unless you can peer into a back of a crowded hangar and tell you're looking at the rear end of 1936 German Bernleman Bomber as opposed to that of the 1947 British Airpooper (or God knows what else is lurking back there) probably best to wait until covid is a distant memory before visiting this otherwise esteemed living museum. The people there are still the best...true believers with an honorable mission to preserve our history. So I love this place and I want to support it. But my vote is 'send them a check for now but postpone the visit'.

A place that makes you want to live here if you like airplanes because there are many hisstrical aircraft that can fly. When I see the oil stains under the aircraft, I cry. Some may argue that it's not the original because it's been modified to make it flyable, but I just admire the hard work and effort to keep it that way. When there are few people, they may even put you in a restricted area and show you the aircraft being restored. A wonderful place that appears in your dreams

If you are a true fan of aviation, you have to go to this museum. Lots of planes, lots of memories. Planes of fame staff are doing a wonderful job to keep the planes into flyable state or to offer them a new life.
