Pizzology Review

This place is fantastic. House-made dough, cheese, meats and a wood burning oven... fan-frickin-tastic! Not to mention, this is the site of my first date with my husband. I invited him and a mutual female friend to go try it out, and I d never met him in person. She declined just as he accepted. Wait. I set up my own blind date. By accident. But, magic happened, was it the prosciutto? Maybe the wine? I m not saying Pizzaology creates the ambiance for romance.. but the food will certainly make you fall in love!

Different pizzas. Great, light crust. Good service. Cozy place. Good drink selection given the size of the place.

Home made everything makes this a great pizza joint to try sometime

Really nice place. They serve Neapolitan style pizza and it is excellent. Don't miss out on the bread sticks. They also serve craft beer.

I have taken my family to eat at this restaurant several times and the food is always excellent. You have to wait a bit longer for the food to arrive than other restaurants, but they bring it out fresh. The servers are hit or miss. I've had very good servers and also servers that I didn't want to tip. But overall I recommend this restaurant for good, casual Italian food.

Came here with some friends for some good pizza and drinks. Left with a fully and happy belly. Would highly recommend!

We had the Lombardi. Cheese, arugula, prosciutto, all good. Good tasting pizza, except for the crust. When you pick it up, it's floppy in the middle, and you have to eat with two hands. I'm from the Chicago area and we have two kinds of pizzas we're known for. Our classic deep dish and our thin and crispy. I'm used to thin and crispy and this pizza was not that at all.The dough was on the chewey side and that's just not what I'm used to . Again, good taste, but will probably keep looking.

If you are tired of big chain pizza, this place can help. Salads, pizzas, cocktails, and craft beers are available in a nice space. Service is always good and the food comes out quickly. Outdoor seating is open in the spring which is really nice, well shaded, and a little more open than the indoor area.

One of the best places to get pizza in Indiana. Really great options, everything felt fresh and perfectly made, and it was a great price. The craft beer selection was nice too. If you re feeling hungry, the salads and breadsticks are definitely worth it as well.

If you want to come here, you've made a great choice in doing so, that is if you're looking to try a new type of pizza. However, if you're looking for conventional pizza this is not the place to go, as they lack toppings or certain cheeses/sauces that you would normally expect to be available for pizza. It's very pricey for mediocre pizza. The crust tastes like charcoal, and the marinara is tangy at best. But if you can get past those things, you'll probably enjoy the unique tastes available to you Pizzology.

We redirect business meetings to Carmel with the sole intent of eating at Pizzology. Always get taken care of by the servers, great lunch specials. Excited for the Nora location to open up in 2013!

Our waiter Misha was great! He was attentive and thorough. We went around 3pm on a Saturday, so it wasn't very busy. Food was quick and delicious. My Gimlet was great too!

Best in the area. We order one for dinner and one to go.

Solid brick oven pizza and pasta joint. Got takeout and sat at the bar for a drink while we waited. Try the Harvest Moon not too sweet, simply fruity and delicious. For food, we split a Baby Cheezus (make sure you like stinky cheese before ordering one) and a Spicy Capellini Pomodoro.

Absolutely fantastic dinner love the mussels and the pizza with the gluten crust was fantastic thank you oh and the tiramisu was great !!!

First things first, the breadsticks were crazy bread on steroids. Absolutely amazing. There were 4 to the order with a delicious cheese sauce and fantastic marinara. If we had only ordered the breadsticks I would have given them 5 stars.

We were disappointed with the pizzas. The price was good given that they were wood fired. You could tell the toppings were quality, but they lacked a lot of flavor. The crust was very bland and ordinary. They need to go back to school and add some flavors to the mix.

Ethan was a fantastic server and kept our drinks refilled promptly. Items came out super quick. Fryer was closed at the time so I couldn t order the fish I was wanting. Please add beef to your pizza toppings. This is America, we love beef!

Great service. I usually like me pizza cooked a little extra here, but just a preference. Get your pizza dressed with the arugula salad, you won't regret it.

Good quality Italian food. We don't go there for the pizza but for the pasta. That's not to say they have bad pizza, we just haven't tried it yet. But they definitely have good pasta! They're a bit pricey but we're okay with that as they're a local company that supports local community events and have good food.

I am a government employee who was affected by the shutdown. Pizzology opened their doors to myself and fellow coworkers during the shutdown. The food was very good, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I will absolutely be back many times to come. Thank you so much to the wait staff and the owner.

My wife and I went here during the government shutdown and we are so thankful for them providing us a great meal. It was a scary time not knowing if/when I would get paid so getting to eat with my family and get away from it all was amazing. The food was excellent and it all tastes very authentic. You can tell everything is made with quality ingredients. The service was also very friendly. We will definitely always support a restaurant like this that supports the community.

We really love Pizzology. The pizza, of course, is great, but everything else we've had there is great too. They have really good gnocchi on Fridays, a great wine selection, and all sorts of other things on the menu if you're not in the mood for pizza. Our girls love watching the pizza being made and the fire in the oven. They also have paper on the tables and crayons to keep them busy. I've of our favorite places for a casual dinner.

I enjoyed my experience! I had heard a few conflicting reviews so I decided to see for myself.
I would recommend this place to anyone asking! The food was delicious. The sauces were flavorful and the service was good!
I found the atmosphere to be decent, maybe a bit too loud for my taste as there were so many people.
All in all the food was a win!

We absolutely love Pizzology. Being originally from Europe American pizza just isn't the same. Pizzology is 100% European approved and absolutely delicious. You have to try it. Make sure to add oregano to your pizza, you won't regret it.

The ingredients on the pizza are good but the actual crust itself is horrible. All together horrible service with mediocre pizza

I was excited to try this pizza and couldn't have been more disappointed. The restaurant was hard to find and I wish I hadn't.

Stopped here for a quick lunch on a work day. The service was fast, food was excellent, and portions we're appropriate for lunch (I didn't need a nap afterwards).

Great food, the grilled romaine salad and the breadsticks are my favorites! Good selection of beer & wine as well.

I had always heard great things about Pizzology, but was finally able to visit last week and it certainly lived up to the reputation. If you're looking for cheap pizza, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a great meal that happens to be pizza, or looking to have a glass of wine with your meal, or looking for a peaceful atmosphere, or looking for great service, then look no further. Pizzology is fantastic !!

This pizza crust is the BEST and super flavorful ingredients used for all items

The thin crust pizza isn't as filling as other restaurants

Tom went above and beyond making my first experience amazing. Being out of Orange Juice for a drink he went and whipped up some freshly squeezed OJ! Best drink ever way to go Tom thanks again will be back for sure! Great atmosphere excellent customer service!

I love the food here, let me state that first. The problem is that they don't have enough indoor tables for families, so there is inevitably a long wait here. They have a big bar area which is usually half filled, and a big enclosed patio, which it's hit or miss whether the weather will cooperate. Then there are about enough tables to seat six or seven family-size groups. State law won't allow kids to sit in the bar area, so people stand and wait. It's tough saying this, because I do love this place, and would recommend it to everyone, provided you get there early enough to snag a table.

The atmosphere is wonderful, I loved every song that they played, and the pizza is so delicious. My husband who lived in Italy says this is the closest to Italian pizza he's had in the U.S.

Risotto was under cooked, shrimp scampi only had 3 shrimp. Pizza was good

We absolutely love this place. Food is always consistently good as well as the service. Italian steamed mussels and lemon rosemary wings are amazing.

Picked up pizza - it was cold. My wife asked them to make another pizza, she was treated poorly. We will not be back. There are plenty of alternatives.

VPN style pizza. Great flavor, crunchy crust, thin in the middle. We like the homemade sausage. Also, the fresh mozzarella with arugala applied after it comes out of the oven. I have eaten here the last two nights and got carry out three nights ago. This pizza style does not favor carry out, far better to eat the pizza fresh from the oven. Mussels are good as well for a starter. When I bring home the pasta pomodoro, I get the large thinking we will have some left over. Never happens. We like to sit at the bar. Full bar with an Italian wine list.

The pizza was delishious and you get to watch them make the pizza through a window! They have great service and i had a friend of mine who is mentally disabled and they were so nice to him!

This is NOT your typical pizza joint. It is more hipster artisan style. But the pizza is great. My only complaint would be that the beer selection is lacking in variety.
