One of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to. The menu is on point, with ingredients you've probably never heard of dominating the drinks. The bartenders and servers are not only courteous, they are responsive to your needs and knowledgeable about the craft of drink-making. I was also given a lesson on how to taste bitters, which was awesome! I wish I lived in Indy so I could make this a regular spot.

Really a neat speak easy. Friendly, skilled bartender. Made a very nice Manhattan. The cheese appetizer was good and included 2 yr old Wisconsin cheddar. Good place to go to relax and for conversation.

I was really excited to try this venue, as my wife had visited months ago and raved about the experience. The environment is phenomenal - low lighting, exposed brick, speak easy feel. In the venue's defense, they were extremely busy. The staffing was no where near enough to meet demand, so mistakes happened - wrong drinks, no drinks. The person's birthday we were celebrating, after an hour, still did not have a drink, so we left. The bathroom situation is a definite issue - only two gender neutral bathrooms, one of which was out of order. So, one bathroom for approximately 100 people. The line was 15-20 minutes at any given time. Overall, I wanted to love this place, but couldn't. We are going to try it again, on a week night, to see if this was just a one off. I will update my review after our next visit.

Drinks are very good (expensive but generally worth it). Atmosphere is okay, but generally just really crowded. Feel like get a drink and get out is what you have to do, not really conducive to staying there for multiple rounds.

I absolutely loved my experience here. It is a fantastic place for a chill night out! Cocktails were unique, delicious, and it made me branch out of my flavor comfort zone. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but it was lively enough to still have that "Saturday night energy". My friends and I were able to have great conversation and catch up for a couple hours, it didn't feel like the servers were trying to rush us out. The style of the place is so unique, I honestly can't recommend it enough. This bar has a refreshing take to the night out scene, and might I say they do it well. I love love LOVE this place!

Libertine is a basement bar in Mass Ave with awesome customer service and great really original drinks! It is usually pretty full and it can become hard to find a table, but overall the experience is always great

Not the open airy, inviting place I knew on Washington St, however, it has potential and I will try again. Good service and stellar menu.

I have been coming here for about a year and am disappointed to say the quality has dropped dramatically. They seem to be understaffed with long wait times. The bathrooms were pretty gross with a toilet bowl cleaner thrown in the corner, dusty shelf, and stained chair. Overall it seems like they just aren t properly maintaining things. Cracked booths and worn menus etc.

Great site hidden bar. The menu drinks are always great and the bartenders can make you anything you want even if you are not sure of what you want.

Took an Uber out to Libertine after dinner one night while on a work trip. Some of the drink choices were super bizarre sounding, but absolutely worth taking the leap and trying something new. The bar itself has great atmosphere and is really nice for date night with its high profile booths and cute Christmas light lighting!

Decided to try this place again while I was in town, the last time wasn't a spectacular experience to say the least but because of the other good reviews I wanted to give it a shot.

The only bar on Mass Ave that was closed, I guess they don't need the business. Have they always been closed on Sundays? Maybe I should have checked first but I thought that with every other place being open and buzzing it would be a certainty.

Doesn't seem to be a great idea but hey, I'm just another potential customer.

In town for the Fringe festival we found this cool downstairs bar that had interesting drinks and a cool vibe. It was my friends birthday that week so we decided to have a small group meet there Sunday night to surprise her. I called ahead 2 days in advance to make sure it was OK and was told they would love to have us. Fast forward to the night, when we got there, the only 2 employees had been told nothing about our group but seemed ready to deal with it. The bartender even asked me for a list of songs she'd like to hear, which blew me away.

I was so sure the night would be epic.

Within a half hour not only was the stellar customer service gone, they were outright rude to us. Also, they took individual drink orders and then when dropping off the drinks suddenly wouldn't hand them out without a credit card... Mind you, I had been there twice earlier in the week and was never asked to start a tab...

So in review, this place has a great atmosphere and a cool vibe and good drinks. But need to figure out how to run a bar...

This place is amazing! They offer A wide variety of cocktails, all of which are incredibly unique. The atmosphere is comfortable while still trendy. Could be romantic if that's your sort of thing. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

I love this place! Best drinks in the city. Some of the best drinks I have had anywhere. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for here and more.

The drinks aren't cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for. If you enjoy a top shelf cocktail made to absolute perfection, there is no other place in town that compares. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly bartenders who know what questions to ask to find you the perfect drink. I hate to even call them "bartenders" because they're on a level so far beyond that. If one could get a PhD in bartending, this is where they would work.

The knowledge of spirits here makes it worthwhile. If you appreciate a well crafted cocktail then make over to this cozy bar.

The bartender, Zach, overheard me telling my boyfriend that I'd never had gin before and said he was certain he could find a gin cocktail I would enjoy. After getting a feel for my likes and dislikes, he made me a drink called The Last Word, which was fantastic. He also patiently endured incessant questioning from our group as we watched him work. You could tell he loves his job and also loves teaching others about it.

Very impressed. It's a great place for craft cocktails to fit many palates. There are a few speakeasy-like touches (e.g. the downstairs locations, the decor), but none of the pretentiousness that plagues other bars.

Sat at the bar for a quick drink and was welcomed by Puck with a free cup of punch. Fresh and homemade ingredients and a decent selection of liquors. I had a tea-based cocktail which was really tasty (and pretty rare).

- Very clean and modern, but with touches of a speakeasy

CONS
- None, although I imagine it gets pretty crowded, and drinks like this aren't fast to make

Try something new. Don't just go for a drink you can get at any other bar.

This is my favorite craft cocktail bar in Indy. In addition to a generally fascinating menu, they will also make a custom drink to change your life. As a former bartender I am always excited to learn new things and their knowledge here is superb.

This is a small venue and perfect for a date. Just be aware that it won't be a cheap date.

The ambience is really good, but beware of the extremely small food portions..

Always try and stop here during my annual trip to Indianapolis. Creative drinks, chill and not too loud atmosphere, and servers/bartenders are friendly.

This I've had several experiences with rude or insanely slow service. Last time we had to wait about an hour for our bill. I had a few good experiences there over the years but it doesn't make up for it and I'm not going back.

Dark basement bar with pricey drinks and unique atmosphere.

I m a huge fan of cocktail bars so this place caught our attention immediately. I enjoy the atmosphere with the bar being in the basement it gives off a speakeasy vibe. The menu is unique having inspirational quotes, along with distinctive drinks. Next time I come back to Indy I ll be stopping by this great establishment!

I was introduced to this place by s friend and it is sn amazing cocktail bar. Great music nice atmosphere and the cocktails with unusual names were very aromatic and tasteful. They do have some appetizers available. The staff gave us space but also were very attentive. We were comfortable and did not feel rushed. The bar is on a lower level.

This is such a cool bar, tucked away in a basement in a building off of Mass Ave. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed with the atmosphere, the libations or the service. All of them contribute to a quirky, chill environment that's perfect for a low-key night out. They serve Central State beer (an up-and-coming brewery in Indy) which is always a plus in my book, and my brother tried a "chorizo-fat" mescal which turned out to be quite tasty. My friends were entranced by the video of the dancing man projected onto the wall over our heads. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Plus, the bathrooms were really nice. Overall, a great experience. Wish I could hang out there more often.

The drinks were interesting, but tasted awful and the ambiance was reminiscent of a soulless, millennial dungeon.

This place is so different you have to love it. It has a basement feel to it. All of the bar staff are super creative and all of the drinks on the menu were created by the bar staff. Great for a drink after work or night out on the town.

Indianapolis Mixology at NYC prices. The drink menu boasts a wide variety, full of innovation and libations you may have never heard of before. It's a fun, modern setting in the basement just off Mass. Ave. A great place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. Just be prepared to pay for your (albeit delicious) alcoholic creation...sip wisely!

A horrible experience with overpriced drinks, a rude staff, and a dull atmosphere. I'm not usually critical of bars, but for this I will make an exception.
