got up close and personal with a couple animals, was very nostalgic
Visited during the thank you free week. Haven't been in like 20 yrs, it was a nice day spent with the grandson
Awesome place to spend the day with my girlfriend and kids
Really fun, would give 5 stars but there was no lion, claiming his part was under construction
This was my first time at the Pittsburgh Zoo and it did not disappoint! The Zoo was very clean the employees were all nice. Almost every single exhibit was open and had the animals in them. The zoos layout was nice and easy to navigate compared to other zoos.
Went on a free entry day to see the penguins walk. It was pretty awesome. The little penguins were very curious about us humans standing at the barricades. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Great place for kids and adults. I wouldn t suggest going on a day over 80 degrees. If you do...the aquarium will be your best friend as it is well air conditioned! We took family from out of town and had a blast.
Fantastic place in any season no matter what your age
I had such a great time with my family at the Pittsburgh Zoo! I absoulty loved the dinosaur exhibit!
Went here with my 2 year old son and I was surprised how close (but safely) he get to all of the animals. He was basically able to feed a giraffe right out his hand.
Mediocre at best. We'd heard good things about this zoo. My family of 5 adults paid $110 for zoo and dino exhibits. We are zoo geeks, so this price didn't bother us...until we were leaving. Several animals were not available to be viewed as their habitats were getting much needed renovating. The glass around exhibits was nasty...how long since it has been cleaned? The polar bears were not to be seen, though they have a beautiful area be nd we were looking forward to seeing them from the under water tube. The otters exhibit was closed. The baby elephant was not available...and on it goes. It's a small zoo with limited exhibits. For the price? I won't go back.
Visited today 9/4/2020. Zoo instituted a mandatory mask policy yet no one is there enforcing it. Many many adults and older children visiting without masks and most areas the social distancing rule is not being followed. In my 90 minutes at the zoo I never saw any employees which meant no one enforcing the mask policy. Very disappointed. Zoo in need of maintenance and upkeep. Litter in bushes, walkways cracked, many potholes.
This is one of the best Zoo's we have been to! They have so much for the kids to do and its always a great time!
The Pittsburgh Zoo has always been our go-to place for a fun day! There s a lot to do and see, from animal exhibits, to the zip line, the lovely aquarium, play areas for children, a petting zoo, and a few areas to purchase and eat food. The staff is professional and knowledgeable and the grounds and animals are very well cared for and clean! There is ample parking, too!
Great zoo! We come up from the Akron area once a year to go through the Pittsburgh Zoo. Personally my favorite part is the aquarium!
My family absolutely loves coming here! We buy passes every year & come quite often. I love the new additions they've added on the last few years. They keep making the zoo better and more beautiful. We always stop & get something to eat. It's a nice break from the sun & reboots the kids energy. I love that they put the water mist on during the summer months. Kids love to run thru it. Nice cool off method. The monkey & penguins are my favorite.
The new dinosaur exhibit is quite amazing. We added it to our passes last year and it was worth the money. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest to do so!
We love the zoo! Always so clean and everyone is always so helpful
Really enjoyed it the. They also have a bag that has stuff in it for children with sensory problems.that u return before u leave
I love the Pittsburgh zoo! I went here a lot as a kid, and now I am able to share my memories with my daughter! We came on from Texas, and found out about the November free admission for Thanksgiving! It was a beautiful day and a lot of the animals were still available to see. Of course, our favorite was the penguin exhibits and my daughter did not want to leave. This zoo and aquarium is such a great family fun day, and I hope to come back soon!
It's a wonderful experience . The animals are good looking , healthy and well taken care of . I really enjoyed the Pittsburgh zoo and aquarium .
