PioneerRx is the most user friendly and intuitive software I have ever used. It's easy for interns to "catch on" or for seasonal (college) employees to get back into the swing of using it proficiently and quickly. The support team is absolutely incredible. Call backs within minutes and changes that benefit my pharmacy, along with unspeakable patience to whomever the technicians are speaking. Even to the non-techie among us :)
The selling point though is integration with POS. All workstations can access the POS and the POS is a usable workstation. Alerts for rx's in progress are essential for good customer service and PioneerRx has them included. Lastly, integration with PioneerRx and other programs and equipment is superb.

Extremely unprofessional support staff. You will call and get 5 different answers for the same question. We were initially sold on the whole we have great after install support not true. They also do not have anyone who can read or understand their own contracts, which is hilarious. They also like to pick and choose what they will enforce and when, who does that? Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Oh and be aware, you as the pharmacy do not own your own data. If you want access to it if you decide to leave, they will try to charge you ridiculous fees for the privilege of accessing YOUR PATIENTS DATA!

We have been using this system for about 8 years now and I do NOT recall the last time or if ever we were satisfied with their policies and/or customer service. You buy a item from them they do not tell you at all the shipping cost then the invoice you with the cost at which we could have purchased it much cheaper elsewhere.

Originally we purchased this software because they had free text messaging service (1 of the main reasons). Then the decided to start charging for each text message we send and receive. We can understand changing that policy and it having it going into effect to any customer that purchased the system after the policy change but NO. Contacted Better Business Bureau regarding this issue and guess what they did NOT even respond to the inquiry to BBB.

Their software updates regularly but instead of moving forward in time they go backwards. What used to take me lets say 5 clicks to complete now its 3-5 times longer. That might not seem as much but when you multiply over hundreds of scripts and patients/customers waiting it is unacceptable as the wait is not due to us but rather the system itself. We keep giving them feedback on what needs improving/changing/adding but it falls on deaf ears. Their customer service keeps saying well just log into our forum and add your idea. We have written ideas but they fall on deaf ears and not even a response there either.

Furthermore, every day and I mean religiously their system is like a turtle, slow as heck. Double loading screens, "[Not Responding]" messages, frequent crashes, double billing issues, prescription image not populating.

Now today as of 7-21-21 they want to charge the pharmacy like $39 for having the ability to fax (for which we already do) and $50 for setup or service I don't recall the message. The pharmacy already has a dedicated fax number that is serviced (paid) by a internet service provider.

Next thing you know they will add a charge for using the click button on the mouse.

As the years go by and new updates come and go its like they are "what else can we update on the software to be able to charge them" instead of "what can we do to satisfy our customers". We now pay nearly $1,000 per month for their support. I mean might as well purchase a new system and their monthly fees will be wayyyyy less than this.

As a client of a local pharmacy who uses this software, I can't speak to the software used behind the counter. However, it's been nearly 3 months since their app has worked for me and it is affecting my health--when I was a customer of Walgreens, I never had missed doses or late refills. I've had a ton since switching pharmacies. I love my local pharmacy, but the lack of a useful app is killing my desire to remain a loyal customer of theirs. I don't know what kinds of things PioneerRx is doing down there, but not fixing their app is one of them. You can see the reviews on the Play Store, app was great, then an update broke it.

I know 2020 was the worst year on record for basically everyone. This is the only reason it's taken me 3 months to really say anything. But a request for support was ignored by the developer and the Pharmacy hasn't been able to really get the app working, so it's time to make sure that the company itself is publicly called out.

PioneerRx is one of the easiest and most user friendly softwares I have used. It takes no time at all to understand the system. PioneerRx also has one of the best customer service teams and respond back in a very timely matter if our pharmacy ever has any questions that need to be answered. Our pharmacy really appreciates everything PioneerRx has done for us, and we appreciate all their support. Could not ask for a better software!

Well honestly I do not know where to begin. We bought the software and were given a total of the software NOT an itemized list. When the product arrived and we looked over the invoice there are hundreds of dollars worth of equipment that was NOT needed but they refused to take those back and that was only the beginning of the issue with them.

Updates- the software does update frequently but apparently every update is done for ease of use on their end whilst making it more and more tedious to process a single claim.

Software- when looking at a patients profile the prescriptions are not separated by fill date. Meaning that if its same Rx number it will only show the very last fill date. To find out each fill date there are several hoops to jump trough to be able to view them and even then there is NO option to view all date of fills of same script number at same time in a single view/page.

They have a text notification system but it does NOT work with all major wireless providers. For example Verizon wireless phone numbers do NOT receive text messages.

Customer Service- well that is another essay topic on its own. If you make a purchase they do NOT give you a receipt. If you make a purchase they do not tell you total cost (shipping charges). If you have an issue in general good luck getting it taken care off.

DOUBLE BILLING- billing 2 insurance is majority of the time a problem always rejecting for various codes and such (do not send other payer, etc) you try to fix it on one claim but then have an issue on another. I have worked in a pharmacy for 16+ years, worked with dozens of different pharmacy softwares and this is the only one that has an issue with practically every other claim. There is no way to fix the double billing issue. I have contacted their support staff for years and simply put there is no fix even if same insurance still an issue. Keep in mind I have about 50% of the double billing claim with an issue to be reprocess sometimes a dozen times until right codes are in place and every time you process it cost a fee.

In summary this system will make you jump trough hoops and hoops to process a single claim with many issues along the way with terrible customer service and nothing but aggravation. If I knew what I know now I would NEVER EVER BUY THIS SOFTWARE SYSTEM WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS.
