The animals are clean, happy and well cared for. The staff really seems to care about them and wants them all to go to loving homes. It's a very clean facility. I'd be proud to adopt a fur baby from there.

What a FABULOUS staff !!! I had to surrender a pet and they were so kind, caring and understanding about the situation.
What impressed me most is the steadfastness of finding homes for pets and figuring out many ways to get these precious animal adopted!! No one wants to surrender a pet but situations arise in life where there is no alternative.
Adopted patch and squeaky from this location. They are the puuuurfect fit for our family! The application process was simple and the staff was very nice and attentive
Had to dump cats in random alley because the rude old hag came out and claimed that I "took ownership" of 2 strays that started bullying my two elderly outdoor cats out of their food last year. One had staph infections and needed medical treatment and the other keeps breeding and bringing more strays into the world an needs to be spayed, we can't be forced to be responsible for tons of cats hanging in our backyard, we can't afford to. She told us to go to the Humane society and they wouldn't take them either so if none of the many shelters we drove to & called in the county will take them then I guess they really are STRAYS now because again we had to dump them elsewhere and hope someone else feeds & waters them or picks them up and gets them the veterinary services & homes that they deserve.
This place is one of the nicest ones I have been too. The adoption areas are super clean. The animals can be taken to a sort of get acquainted area. They provide treats to give them. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable.
Place had lots of animals up for adoption. Volunteers keep it CLEAN. Ready to go are $20. Preadopted are more. Small dogs and large dogs. All kinds of cats and kittens. Take donations too.
I have experienced good and not so good days with PCAS. Being short staffed always makes for a trying experience. I have had mostly great experiences with the shelter
During the month of October they have specials for chip and rabies which is a great price. The staff was very helpful and although it was very busy, my time there was very efficient and I will go back for more services tgatbecome available.
They took care of the kittens I found with the step up program due at 2 and they fix the mom and shipped her for me to stay with her. My cat was up and playing by the 3rd day and is very healthy now. Thank you.
I can not give enough praise to this facility! Being in the animal field it was such a happy feeling to go adopt an animal with such love and happiness! From the start to finish these employees and volunteers go above and beyond as much as they can! Also huge supporters of military families, Veterans adoption cost are completely waived if you're looking for an animal please don't shop adopt and this is a great place to start!
Pretty bad experience with them. I purchased a six-year-old cat for $40.00 because she needed a home. When I got her home she gave my 2 year old cat an upper respiratory infection (they are both indoor cats). When I Googled what's wrong with a cat that keeps sneezing it said usually this happens when you get a cat from a shelter. So I took her back and they charged me $30.00 for giving her up! They need to do a more thorough veterinarian check before they release these cats to the public. So for the new cat I'm out $70 and my veterinarian bill for my 2 year old cat is just over $200.00. I won't be back!!!!! So over $270.00 and no cat :(
My dog was stolen they went to the person's house that showed them a different dog with a different chip they did nothing about it have pictures of my dog in her house big help really do your job Deborah Armstrong on Mary Sue in Largo this is my dog Tedy Bruschi not that white thing you showed me in your picture do your job lazy people
The staff was very friendly. Took their time to help you pick out a dog. I finally picked out Cooper. Who is a Hound and a mix very loving dog. He's well behaved. My overall experience was fantastic
Super nice & caring staff. Dropped off a stray kitten found in gas station & they took him in immediately. Informing & professional! Made us feel comfortable in an uneasy situation.
We adopted "Buddy" an 8 year old cat. He's doing great! Best of all...it was FREE because I'm a Veteran. He's in good health...took him to Midway Veterinary on Seminole Blvd for a check up today...all good. Thank you Pinellas Animal Control.
They help a lot of people an the certainly care for the animals, just remember that there is always that 1 negative person learking around to make a great place look bad . I haven't experienced them yet at this place but I'm sure someone will say they hate this place because bla-bla-bla . Also if you are in need of food for your furry friends they have your back just go in and ask they have a huge rolling bin of donations .an if you have it to spare they would really appreciate it if you could help keep it full / or toss a few bucks there way.. maby?????? "dollars not deer" just to be clear. lol. Thanks
Rude as can be. I went in here to look for an animal to adopt. I first look at the cats with my daughter. Whoever the old lady that was in there 'volunteering' on Fri 8/11/17 ...was a complete B*!! Wouldn't let my daughter play with any of the kittens. And was talking to my daughter " Now, I told you not to do that". First of all my daughter is 3, and 2: Again thats MY child. I'll correct her if need be. She didn't need to be corrected. She did nothing wrong. She hurt my daughters feelings. I went there to adopt a new family member but clearly they had no interest in wanting to adopt out! I feel bad for any animals in this facility. They may have great adoption prices, etc., but the staff are grumpy jerks. If you can't care for your pets any longer, found a stray, or want a new family member. Just don't even come here. This isnt my first time I had an episode with one of their employees/volunteers. Attitudes need to be adjusted significantly!
Adopted a 5 yr.old German Shepard,he was the best companion,so loved by everyone.his name was Winslow ,he went to Big Lots many dog park,s , he always cought the attion of all,he was so excited to meet all,he never missed behaved.well he passed at 17yr.old,never to be replaced.I do encourage all to go to your local shelters, they have many throw aways even pedigrees,no matter their age please. Before you go to a breeder, visit a puppmill, think about how the female has to live in confinement just to have that so called perfect dog, please adopt the petgrom your local shelters, they need to be loved by you Now Today, the shelters have, ammenties to offer you, like vets on ,please rescue a shelter pet and keep and love them for the rest of their lives.
Unfortunately in this day and age people don't care about their pets and they have to go somewhere it's better than them seeing them killed on the road they still have a chance for new home as there a few weeks ago dropping off dog treats they're called paparoni's for the dogs for Christmas just let them know somebody cares about them
The Dogs are very cute! My family and I would adopt them all if we had that much money. I love to walk the dogs, The dog we adopted was just soooo cute!
Thank you for your help in adding Micah (now Hershey) to our family. Highly recommend checking here for a furry friend. It was evident that the employees care about animals and people.
All pit bulls. So sad to see them there. I just can't handle big dogs. The place smelled awful. I was afraid to touch any of them for great if smelling horrific afterwards. Such a big event, you would think they could have cleaned up a bit before hand. Although the weather just didn't permit a very clean environment either. Everything was muddy.
Good pricing on their services. $20 for 1-year Rabies, $40 for 3-year Rabies(both include the licence and paperwork) and $7 Microchipping(only on Thursdays).
I had visions of rows and rows of sad animals with no hope. Much to my surprise, the shelter was clean, the people helpful and organized, and the cages were much more spacious than I thought. They worked very hard for us when we attempted to rescue a pug that have been turned in. They even worked at the schedule so that we could get her sooner than later. Very hopeful group of people and a very worthy cause.
Had to surrender a stray cat, I was very distraught and everyone there was very kind and helpful can assured me that the cat would be taken well care of
The way the system works for vaccination shots are very straightforward. They have a good system going on. You bring your pet into the facility, they call your name and ask you why you're there, you sit there and wait until your name is called so that they can vaccinate or have other services done on your animal.
Love this place. It's clean place. And they have cats/kittens and dogs/puppy's. Rescued a older dog their last year. And they have cat/dog food in baggies out front for free for your animals, there is a limit of how many to take.
