This Christmas I decided that it was time to have a family dog so I started looking at a few of the facilities around. I am very impressed with the cleanliness of the Pinellas County Animal Services facility. I had a few interactions with the staff and everyone was very courteous as well as knowledgeable. The dogs seemed to be very well cared for and it was tough to pick just one. We found our baby and she is an amazing addition to our lives.

Nice place to get a critter... It seemed to be very clean and the staff was very helpful.
We have 2 dogs from here.

They were very polite they return your calls or concerns in a prompt manner.

I adopted one of my best friends here she's been nothing but the best the staff is really nice and if I every adopt another pet it will be from here

Good people, clean animals appear to be healthy and safe. They could use more support from the public.

THEY KNOW WHAT AND WHERE THESE ANIMALS CAME FROM. THEY TELL YOU THEY DONT HAVE HISTORY.... THEY DO AND THEY TELL YOU THEY DONT KNOW . THE ANIMALS AT THIS SHELTER ARE A COLLECTIVE BUNCH OF ABANDONED PROBLEMATIC TRAIN WRECKS.

Im very pleased with Pinellas County Animal Services. They were very friendly and helpful and made the adoption of our puppy very easy. I highly reccomend them.

Clean shelter but it's a kill shelter so please adopt from here

Great staff sometimes free dog food cheap immunzations

I went to look at my sisters dog that she was adopting in a week. And these dogs were so sad. You could tell that they haven't been out of the cages in a while.
So I went into the other kennel and there was NO AIR CONDITIONING. This is cruel to the animals. Especially when we live in Florida in the summer when it's like 102 degrees outside.
So then I went outside to play with a dog and the play areas are shells. What if a the dog cut their paws. This place sucks.if I could I wouldn rate this place no stars.

Person helping me had very little knowledge of the animals in the facility. I left disappointed. I found my kitty at spca a few miles away.

They are very efficient. I do have ONE COMPLAINT. False or misleading advertising. I needed to get my cat a rabies shot before her vet could give me an appointment. No big deal. I called PCAS they said the shots were 10 dollars. For a three year vaccine. Well that was a great deal so I went. Thankfully not only having 10 dollars. The clerk informed me the LICENSE was 40 dollars and the shot 10. I paid it because I could but some people might be in for a shock . I feel like they need to be more upfront with their advertising. Other than that one thing I think they do a great job.

My husband and I have both surrendered lost pets and adopted from this center. The staff is very helpful and the volunteers are amazing.

Kaitlin helped me. My dog was suffering with many maladies. He was 12. They helped me mourn my loss. They let me say goodbye and a nice older gentleman came to take Elliott back was so kind. Thank you for helping me say goodbye. It was hard but I m hurting less because of the compassion.

I dealt with numerous staff and even a couple of volunteers during the course of three visits over two weeks. All of them were caring, compassionate and truly seemed into their work. I unfortunately had to return a dog I really wanted to help by adopting that just wasn't a good fit in my home. After hearing over the course 9f the last couple years I've been in Pinellas nothing but bad things about this place; I was able to witness first-hand that wasn't the case in my experience. Keep the good work up folks!

Need more people and more donation we need to help theses animals,we are there voice,we need to stop Animal Cruetely

If you have not been there for a while you will be pleasantly surprised. The front lobby changed completly, nobody is hiding behind a big counter anymore, there are beautiful murals all around and the staff is ready to assist you. Sign in at the tablets by the entry (Hope it works, mine didn't) the dogs have now a bed and new clean kennels, it looks like it is much easier to clean and some of the kennels are very big adjusted for big dogs, they are not crammed in a place where they can hardly move. If you are looking for a specific dog stop by every day, there are new ones coming in all the time. Even if you don't need a pet, they always appreciate your visit and maybe a treat or a talking to!

Everyone is so helpful. Very nice atmosphere and and very clean..Animals are well cared for by staff.

The worst place to call if you need an information and need to speak with a customer service representative. On hold for over an hour. Ridiculous!

I called about a stray and it's been 4 days. I have a broke foot or I would catching him. He just about got hit twice this morning... I'm in a very busy road..

If your looking for large dogs, this is the place for you. They also have feline cat's, babies go so quickly. When you get inside just follow the paw prints on the floor, as there is more dogs in another facility.

Went to get a rabies shot for our cat.The place was packed but highly organized.We were in and out in less than 30 minutes.Come to find out it was FREE rabies shot day!

I adopted my first pitbull from them and she is the sweetest thing ever

Such amazing people that truly love animals. I've gotten a few animals here and I go once or twice a month to pet and play with the animals. They really do love you more when you save them

It was clean and the animals all looked healthy. But they only had big dogs. I wanted one much smaller

Two of our family dogs were adopted out of PCAS...we were blessed with the most loving pups! They even gave us food for them.

My son came home with Elaina April 15th..a 4 month old Pitt Terrier mix. She's made our lives full of joy. After losing a dog a year ago or more..I wanted no more pets. But after my son's lung cancer surgery...she has been the BEST medicine ever. We so love her. Thank you

They are always prompt when you have an appointment. They are very good with my baby kitty. Friendly and empathetic.

Volunteered with the kitties today. The staff and volunteers were wonderful. Great place to give back if you have the time.

The kind workers contacted me quickly letting me know Tank was safe and they treated me very kindly when i arrived, working quickly to reunite us.

They take all sorts of strays and bring them to good health the dogs are waiting for people to rescue them

Both of these sweet babies were adopted from the Pinellas Humane Society. We just adopted Sammy about 1 month ago and we couldn't be happier.

They are all about business, if you want pet supplies go elsewhere.

Most wonderful staff. Animals are great. You can walk them and there is a play area to bend with your animal. I love to go there and I have already adopted one dog and looking for another.

Friendly staff. Had to put my Felix to sleep because he had cancer. They let me spend time with him and cry as much as I needed to. The staff sent me a beautiful condolence card signed by all. Very thoughtful.

They marked my cat is a stray without consenting me.

Verry efficient especially with aggresive dogs. His 2 of my own and every one else I took them to they had to have,a be muzzled and here no and it was over with in a short time and the other places a lot longer and even had one chipped and the other one activated. They only do this service on Thursday Dr on 1 to 4 it's well worth the time to go it all gets done rabies shot licence
