Boy it was busy good weather drew a large crowd. Apples were great as always
Great family place, it is peaceful and clean and everyone that works their is always so nice.
Glad we went, but this place is a production! It's not your average cozy, cute apple orchard. There's TONS of people = long lines. No samples for the jams, mustards, apples, etc. We went specifically for the apple donuts and they were pretty good - not great. Loved the caramel apple though.
Always great coming here every year! The lines seem to be getting longer everytime! Make sure you head there early to avoid long lines for the desserts. You can normally just walk into the purchasing side, on the left, which I think people get confused on thinking the line is for both doors.
Amazing place to bring your family and friends to have a great time
Mega fun with daughter, son in law and grandson. Wagon ride and pumpkin patch were hits!
Fun family oriented environment. Everyone is friendly. Best place to go on a beautiful warm fall day.
Busy place...was there on a Friday afternoon and the place was hopping. Apple's were delicious, as was the Apple donuts and cake.
Very pretty Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch. They have tractor rides, corn maze, mini horse rides, and a bunch of other activities. Great place to bring your kids to run around. Also has a great store and bakery
Without the cafe and the cutouts it was not as fun.Plus the prices seem to have gone up alot.
Went there for a gathering on behalf of my kid's daycare. Good place. The tractor ride was fun. Did not get a chance to try out the maze but do so next time.
Cannot pick your own apples. Limited selection at the store
Overall a pretty nice experience and the store was very nice but what kind of apple orchard doesn't let you pick apples? it's kind of sad
For as packed as it was, the wait time was surprisingly quick. In one side, out the other. Items spaced out to choose what you wanted as you walked out to the check out. Because of Covid, no special activities for the kiddos.
We really love this orchard, the store with cool treats to eat, the events, fun things for kids & families and most of all, the beautiful grounds with the glistening. Be sure to have the clerks repeat your food & drink orders, as they are so busy that mistakes are frequent, but it's justified. I'd forget stuff & get the wrong items much of the time if i was working there.
Went to this apple orchard today for the first time. It was very crowded with long lines and not much to do. The wagon ride was nice with the nice view at the top. Apple pie I bought was ok. People who worked there was nice. Just be warned about the long wait before getting to a jammed parking lot. Overall it was an ok thing to do on a Saturday.
I ve been going to this Apple orchard my whole life and am so lucky to be passing this fun tradition on to my daughter. Exceptional staffing always, great products and super affordable.
It was great as always. Turnovers were just coming out. The bakery is the best.
One of my favorite orchards im the area. Has some of the best apple treats you can buy. I also love all the options they have to do outside. They have the hayrides, the pumpkin patch, live music out on the lawn, or in the dessert area. I love coming back here each fall.
BEST place ever apples are so good you should go there right now because its so awesome only down part is that you can't pick your own apples. BUT its still awesome so check it out right now!!!
One of my favorite orchards. Great for family days with yummy food selections to eat there or bring home.
This apple orchard is beautiful located right on the lake with train tracks in the background. It is a pre pick place only for apples and pumpkins, but they have lots of amazing other things there to experience. They have a gift store, bakery, apple assembly line you can watch them do the whole process till it gets to the shelf. The customer service over the phone is great, they help you figure out which kinds of apples you need and how many, they offer both first and second hand apples at a discount. The owner spoke with me over the phone and was super helpful. If you want a bushel of apples for canning, call ahead and they will hook you up. :) They have a corn maze too and picnic tables by the lake, it's a treat to take photos on the apple orchard walk. The only thing that was insane was the amount of people there, there were 800-1,000 people there on a Saturday, so if crowds are not your thing go on a slower week day. It felt like an event/festival more than a typical orchard, the line to get in the door took 20minutes to an hour depending on when you arrived, that was the only bummer a long wait time to get apples and other treats. They had 4 parking lots that were all full, it was bigger than most county fairs in Minnesota. They did a good job keeping people flowing and safe with police on site, though the sheer number of people was crazy. Other than the crowds, this place was amazing in every way.
I go there every year. It's a nice family place. Lots of activities on the weekends.
The location is very beautiful, on the lake. There are many different apple, pumpkin, and strawberry products to buy and various activities for all ages (live music, hayrides, straw bales for kids to climb, outdoor eating areas).
I've been going here since I was a little kid. I love this place!
Nice orchard. We visited during the week so it was quiet. I imagine the weekends are busy. Nice drive to the orchard.
Very nice orchard...educational, historical, great variety of apples, apple products & fun gift shop.
Perfect location, great cider, donuts, apples and pues
Our favorite orchard. Hayride and maze are affordable for a family. Caramel apples are the best around!
Really good orchard with plenty space to have a picnic! This is not a pick your own apples orchard, but none the less you can buy apples by the pound. Bought some first kiss apples and they were amazing, perfect condition. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend for an evening walk!
Love the Strawberry Rhubarb pie! In addition to all the fall apple goodness. :-)
Such a gem hidden in White Bear Lake. The drive alone was healing. Parking is limited but come early to enjoy the open field, lake view and landscape.
Indoors they have a wide variety of products from their own harvest. Frozen pies, baked goods, baking tools, kitchen accessories and fresh apples. You can watch the team select and pack apples right there inside the store!
Loved it and hope to bring my family and friends next time. It's a beautiful place!
The day we went, it was extremely crowded, so it's no surprise they ran out of stuff. They made up for it with their delicious apple cider and donuts and ice cream. I picked out a big pumpkin for Halloween, I can't wait to carve it :)
Just love going there they have the best apple butter.
Very good for all ages. Excellent variety of foods, all are very high quality. Prices very reasonable.
Love the place. Bought way too many goodies. Everything looked so good.
Not happy with today's visit. I never carry cash on me. After getting our goodies and waiting in line we are told that the wifi is not working so they cant take cards and they have no ATM.
It's my favorite place to go to! I love their apple cider, cookies and donuts! So friendly and nice!!
Great apples selection and yummy, fresh bakery goods, and friendly staff.
There was no crowd and not a bunch of rude unruly kids running around touching all the samples. The employees were pleasant and the products great as always
We have gone strawberry picking here two years in a row, they have a very nice setup. The tractor from and back to the parking lot is very helpful. The berries are always delicious and enjoy the baked goods thet have for sale, they make a nice snack on the way home if we didn't fill up too much on stawberries while picking.
The experience was disappointing only because of Covid-19 guidelines that were in place. Nothing is open except the gift shop which had an insane line. Hopefully next year it will be back to normal-ish
This was the first year I had ever visited Pine Tree Apple Orchard and I will not be returning ever again. The main reason I go to an orchard instead of Cub is to PICK MY OWN APPLES! We typically spend 2 - 3 hours walking around the orchard enjoying the scenery and the company of friends. After 20 minutes of starring at apples on trees we were not able to pick, and hay rides you had to pay for we left.
I heard add on radio mention apple donuts and my husband decided to take me there to get the donuts. I always like apple cider,so got a half gallon. Tried Sweet Tango. Nice and sweet and skin not to hard to chew. I also got McIntosh. I will try the apple chocolate chip cookie later. Also the pie
I love this apple orchard. The pies!! I always get the apple crumble and then another pie to bake when it is so cold in the winter to remind me that seasons change and the snow will melt. This is the perfect place to celebrate fall, pick some apples, and select the best pumpkin!
Cute little orchard liked the corn maze game where you had to find letters and clues to figure out the sentence or phrase
We were a week or two early, but it's beautiful walking around the orchard. And a very nice day!
The spoils of another year at the pine tree apple orchard. We got some haralson for making some pies and some first kiss just for goodeating. Obviously we bought some apple cider and a whole dozen donuts. And don't forget some apple turnovers. If you know anything about pie making you would buy a silicone pie crust shield.
It was a perfect day to visit that apple orchard ,not too people and lots of room to park . The prices a little steep, but enjoyable
Check their calendar for scheduled events. On some days, the shop is open but not much else is happening that visitors can participate in. Even on the slow days, the grassy area by the lake is great for a picnic. We took some great pics of the kids playing by the lake, and sitting on an old tractor. Every single item we have sampled from the store over about 4 visits in 5 years has been awesome! Get an apple pie, turnovers, and cookies, at the very least. The honey and syrup are top grade, too!
Genuinely nice and helpful workers. Surprisingly large building and selection of products. A great place to take your children or grandchildren.
Nice setting. Lots to do during fall season. Worth the visit!
Argh ... Ridiculously busy. Lines everywhere. Less than fun. Weekdays are your best bet
Crowded long lines and no food options besides desserts.
Fantastic food but do not bring anyone who is handicapped. Not handicapped accessible as everything is too hard for someone who can not walk VERY long distances or stand a VERY long time to get to. They also have no place for handicapped or elderly people to sit if their legs hurt and no electric carts or anything to rent to help elderly or handicapped people to be able to get around the place or to be able to wait in the long lines to purchase items.
Wonderful, love place....loved the First Kiss apples!
I drive over two hours just to get apples and baked goods! Love this orchard!
Great apples and apple products. Nice open picnic area to enjoy your caramel apple with the kids. Plenty of room for distancing.
The event happened to be the day we went, so it was almost impossible to visit! I can only walk a short walk. On both sides, I see some apple trees that are intentionally left unpicked. The apples are full of stones and very beautiful! The orchard is next to a lake, so the scenery is very beautiful. There is an apple picking machine in the place where the goods are sold. It is full of fun and sells all kinds of apple products! It's worth a try, but it's a pity that you can't really visit the orchard!
We have been bringing the kids there for 15 yrs. It's been a pleasure every time.
Did not allow us to pick apples. I think they should really consider at least one apple to pick for each person. That is for the experience. Shop was full of people. Area is great. Go in October. More activities and apples were still sour in September.
Great family place. Great food and drink. Come here for the Taste of White Bear Lake festival
This place is insane on weekend in the fall. Love the apple turnovers!
Very crowded. Awesome destination for kids and adults
Beautiful spot that is heavily wooded. Great First Kiss apples.
The taffy apples, the product I most looked forward to, were spendy AND BAD. The apple was mushy. Recommend avoiding the taffy apples. One could do better at your local grocery.
Apple donuts OK.
Beautiful orchard. Went there last week and it was just as magical as when I was a child. Except this time I got to decide how much cider and baked goods I went home with. Everything was excellent.
Apple picking was not open so that's a bummer. Place is very expensive..
Friendly and awesome surroundings. Not a pick your own...(by their choice. Done incorrectly it ruins next years crop and can damage the trees)... we learned that on our school tour. Family environment. Huge corn maze. Pumpkins. We completely enjoyed our experience there.
Quality (and size/portions) of apple rollovers has significantly decreased. I purchased 2 large boxes and not one rollover was fully cooked - the dough was clearly underbaked and they should've never been sold. Totally disappointing. Went a second time and rollovers were cooked to golden but were smashed together so the icing glued them to each other and the plastic box instead of being on top of the pastries. Another disappointing mess. Whole apple pies were good and better value considering 1 pie is the same price (or less?) as 1 large box of rollovers. Also purchased 2 bags of first quality apples on 2 separate occasions that included very visibly bad apples that wouldn't be considered first quality, and found the Beacons were mushy. I will continue to give pine tree my business but looking really closely at the products before I buy.
As always it was a great time and nice to see Bill and the family
I absolutely loved everything about this place except the ground inside the corn maze..my 2yr. old daughter tripped several times along with plenty other kids which I can expect due to their excitement but when everyone with strollers is struggling to get around (even men) especially women that was very annoying..but everything else was GREAT!
