If you want your loved ones' last days to be miserable and stressful, I highly recommend this place. They were absolutely Terrible! The director is a liar, the staff is rude, the medical "professionals" they send are untrained and have zero beside manner. Steer clear.

From the aviary and dog therapy they have available for patients to music and art therapy; they have been a tremendous gift and resource to our community. They are the only non-profit so beware of the many for-profit providers who have only been doing business here for a short time, see where they are located, some are even franchises like fast food. We saw the annual Trees of Life event on the news and were able to have my father honored this year. Such a blessing to our family, thank you for all you do.

We decided to use Pikes Peak Hospice after it was recommended to us by two separate medical professionals in Colorado Springs. I was hesitant after reading some reviews but am so glad we went with this company. I really can't say enough good things about them. They bent over backwards to help us during the loss of a loved one. That includes doing medication runs across town for us at 11pm, multiple trips a day to our house to deliver small things we needed and 24 hour nurse line to answer any questions. Above all, the staff here are so compassionate and supportive. Pikes Peak Hospice was a huge blessing in our life. A special thank you to nurse Orika and nurse Joan for all the love you showed us.

Our mother was moved from home hospice to inpatient Hospice. As agonizing as it is to lose a loved one the staff (floor manager, chaplains, social worker, nurses and CNAs) was compassionate and caring. They helped the transition of the last days of her life as easy as it could be. They not only cared about her but our family. They helped us understand the process and were always happy to answer our many questions. I can not say enough good about our Nurses we had on a regular basis. We thank you for being there.

Pines peak hospice is amazing...especially Our nurse Hanna and CNA Andrea made all the difference in the world for my loved one over the last 9 months. They kept her as healthy and happy as possible.
Andrea, our CNA, came several times a week to provide personal care and support. From showers to toileting to eating, she could get my loved one to do things no one else could with great kindness skill and expertise. She gave me a break and gave my loved one even better care than I could have.
Hanna, our nurse, was my guide and rock. Her great nursing kept my loved one comfortable and as healthy as possible. My loved one loved her and lit up with a smile whenever she came. Hanna is kind and dedicated. She gave me guidance and support too, knowng it is important to support the family as well. She helped me to navigate all the stages and issues that arise. I knew I was doing the best that I could for my loved one with Hanna. She never made me feel rushed and patiently answered all of my questions. Whenever I needed her, she came.

Both Are knowledgeable, kind and professional. They communicated timely and well. They are the best of the best!! Words can t express how thanksful I am for them!! I don t know what I would have done without them!

At the end the in-patient facility kept my loved one comfortable for a gentle passing. I fear I ve forgotten the nurses and CNAs names but they were great too. They knew what to do at every step and did it with a profound kindness. I am so thankful to the staff there who made the end as easy as possible for my loved one and me.

When my time comes I only pray I ll have professionals as expert, dedicated and kind as pikes peak hospice.

The end of life journey is so difficult for the entire family. I truly felt the nurses at Pikes Peak Hospice made every effort in keeping my father comfortable as he passed. The nurses were wonderful in explaining when we had questions or concerns. All were so supportive and helped to comfort the family and friends. I felt that the care my father received was very individualized and that the staff took great care in making sure all of his needs and ours were met in a timely, caring and professional way.

before my father passed 3 years ago i used this place and it was much better then. this time my mom needs then and not sure what happened but the quality of care dropped considerably. the nurses, lpns, and general care givers don't keep appointments as they are made, bathing was poor, and general conversation with them is just not there. in the end Gina did step up sand try to help but to little to late. they said they'd help with Rocky Mountain options, never did, but they were sure ready to get the release papers signed. Tonya the chaplain was very nice and was supposed to come once a month, in 6 months only 1 or 2 visits. there was always new people showing up, never could develop any relationship with any of them. over all very dissatisfied..... sad for my mom's last days...

I lost my wife to a very aggressive cancer, with no symptoms prior to onset, after 3 & 1/2 months. PPH made sure she was comfortable and not experiencing the pain or agitation she had in the hospital. We took care of her at home, where she wanted to be. PPH was very responsive, even during after hours calls. I know she's grateful as well. I'm currently going through grief counseling provided by them as well and am finding it helpful. I hope you never need them, but I highly recommend.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about the team at Pikes Peak Hospice. I attended the Trees of Life tree lighting last year - what a thoughtful and beautiful event. Thank you to the team at Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care for going above and beyond to care for your community with such grace and kindness through one of the most difficult parts of life's journey.

I was 100% happy with Pikes Peak Hospice. I was extremely grateful for the services and the people. Everyone I interacted with was professional, compassionate and helpful. All staff were great but I have to give an extra special pat on the back to our CNA, Becky. Becky was a great support. She was so assuring and compassionate. I will never forget her kindness.

An absolutely horrible experience. My mother of 92 was put into home hospice care as a means of getting her more help . Worst decision we ve made. Mom is bedridden and had no body sores or pressure points at care onset. After 6 months hospice determined she no longer qualified for hospice care (against her doctors directives) and in the transition back to home health care we were assured by multiple people MULTIPLE times when all was in place she would be discharged. A wound has opened up from the lack of care and it is escalating into a serious infection. At this point- they TERMINATED care! Nothing was in place to address the wound they caused / no nurses and or CNA care. No notification to me as moms power of attorney. Calls to management and the excuse was a change over in personnel and a lack of communication . REALLY? I asked if this was her mother would she like her to be treated this way and the answer was NO! Please don t let anyone you love get assigned to Pikes Peak Hospice home care!

In late 2017 my father became critically ill with heart and kidney disease. His condition was inoperable, so my family and I decided who select a hospice service for his final months to be at home around the love and connection of his family. We looked at several hospice care services in Colorado Springs and shows Pikes Peak Hospice. I can't say enough about the level of care and compassion they showed for my father in his final month or so of life. My father passed on November 2nd 2017. We were blessed to have the individuals from Pikes Peak be a part of my father's final days. I would highly recommend Pikes Peak hospice as a caring and compassionate option for any family.

This experience could have been so terrifying and overwhelming, but with the round-the-clock support from PPH, my family was assured every step of the way. My mother was treated with dignity, her wishes were respected at every turn, and I felt her nurses cared a lot about her as a person. Thank you especially to Casey, our case manager, and all the nurses and CNAs who attended to my mother in her final months. I appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart and couldn't have asked for more compassionate, sweet people to be around during this heart-breaking time in our lives.

We were referred to Pikes Peak Hospice by the doctor, and the disappointment began. Poor quality nurses, lack of delivery of medications, poor response on weekends, inept care. We might have been better off in a mud hut in a third world country. They did not relieve pain, but caused it. We would have been better off with a smaller company that still remembers why we developed Hospice care for our elderly family members rather than this group that obviously takes themselves more seriously than they do their patients.

What I have to say is opinion, read it for what it is worth. I found them condescending and inflexible. They couldn't wait to get rid of my friend, whom I believe Pikes Peak moved to a less appropriate facility to avoid possible liability for falls. Again, opinion. She had fallen several times right before going to Penrose. They of course claim that they had improved her so much in two days that she no longer needed the level of care provided at Penrose. While technically nonprofit, they seem to be pretty much just about making money, an opinion which I have found is shared by others who are more familiar than I with hospice care in this community. I would urge anyone seeking out hospice services to seriously consider other providers. I would urge anyone thinking to donate time or money to this organization to carefully consider whether there assets and time might be better utilized elsewhere.

My husband told me he felt that they were either trying to overdose him or kill him somehow to get him out of the way. He died 2 days later before I could transfer him out. Please don't take your loved ones there or you all might feel this pain.

I will never ever ever suggest any family or loved ones to use Penrose Hospice, ny husband was in ICU doing good then transferred to Hospice ( to get him stabilized to go home hospice care) within 3 days he passed, that morning he was saying he wants to urinate but struggling and hurting, I lifted the sheet to help him and what I saw angered, shocked, disgusted and broke my heart. I waited for a nurse after 2 requests for 30min she came in looked and said OH My I ll give you a shot of morphine wait 30 minutes and put in a a catheter. What a money making system. Penrose Hospice Colorado Springs took away the precious time that we still had to be together. I have a appointment with a Lawyer coming up. I am heartbroken that the love of my life had to suffer and endure such pain after being neglected.
