The Old North State Club Review

Awesome ACC Golf tournament. Course was tough cause of the wind.. way to go NC State!!!

In looking for a home in the Baden Lake area, we spent some time at the Old North State Club. Designed similar to Pebble Beach Golf Course the patio view out over the lake is stunning. The club house has a nostalgic feel of the Old World with a quaint coffee bar and dining area. There is even a gentlemen s sitting area that is reminiscent of an Old World smoking lounge.

Beautiful golf course and homes, nice club house ... greens were recovering from spring punching.

Attended a wedding here. Unfortunately, the remnants of a hurricane made doing things outside impossible. The staff was able to move things inside and it was beautiful. The food was fantastic! My favorites were the Mongolian Beef and the Mac & Cheese.

Very beautiful place we're having a wedding there I think they should open to the public but that's my opinion it is beautiful and I think they should share

The golf course is in best shape compared to the last few years. Nice to see it back in this condition

I cannot imagine anyone giving this course 1 star.
My assumption is that person has impaired vision and did not play golf.
To be sure this is a difficult course to play.
A top class facility with impressive views.

Nice course,fun to play if you keep it in the short grass.

I was there to DJ a wedding. Beautiful facility and every member of their team was great! Highly recommend.

My grandma lives there they have excellent food with a great view of the lake with outside eating with sea food and a kids menu.I would DEFINETLY recommend going there it is a great place.

Beautiful community. Had a delicious meal at the club this evening. Golf, boating, walking trails, great neighbors -- everything you need to relax and enjoy life.

Private club but awesome golf course with great views

I stayed in the lodge which was well-equipped and had a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The course itself is an excellent condition in the spring and is more than challenging for the average golfer. Would highly recommend this place for overnight golf outings.

One of the finest and most scenic courses I've played. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Started in a house near the course that was superb! The course was in fantastic condition! Very enjoyable.

If you want to get away from it all, Old North State Club is the place to be. Located close to Charlotte inside the gated community of Uwharrie Point on Badin Lake, this private club offers everything! Corporate Executive Chef of McConnell Golf, John McAllister, is here onsite offering 5 star dining daily. Director of Golf, Tom Ducey, is always here providing the best golfing experience possible on the #3 golf course in the state according to the NC Golf Panel. Besides golf there is boating, tennis, 24 hour fitness, aquatics, and accommodations. The Lakefront Lodge is a favorite among McConnell Golf members who travel to this destination property. Whenever I stay in the lodge, I enjoy the inclusive made to order breakfast downstairs from your room in the dining area. Its such a great experience where it makes me wake up and jump out of bed like a kid on Christmas morning.

Awesome course. Quietest course even with a tournament going on. We stayed at the lodge and it was very nicely equipped for enjoying the waterfront views

A magical day! I've played any number of fine courses. This one is a GEM!
