Pie cucina Review

My wife and I finally made it out to Pie Cucina. The atmosphere of the place is like a villa tucked away in a the odd town of Blairsville. The wait staff was friendly, but the food was awesome. You just don't find good Italian like this very often. We had the calamari and artichokes for starters. The marina and the olive oil and garlic sauce was fantastic. Then I had the chicken a la Adam that was absolutely delicious with Shrimp, capers, bacon, tomatoes, artichokes in the same buttery oil and garlic sauce. We will certainly be back to try other items on the menu and take in the hidden gem this place offers.

Pricey...but...at least in this case, you get what you pay for... atmosphere, good service with a smile and great food.

Visiting family in Homer City. My aunt and uncle hosted a family dinner for 13 people here on 10/20/18. The food was good (3-4 stars). The main issue was the restaurant was understaffed on several levels. At 7pm when we were seated, there were only 3-4 other tables with customers. By 7:45pm there were only 2 other seated tables besides ours. The point being, the restaurant was largely empty on a Saturday night.

When our meals came out, 11 people were served within a few minutes of each other. 2 others were waiting. The 12th person's meal came out 7-8 minutes later. My cousin's meal (he was sitting next to me) came out about 10-15 minutes later. At that point everyone was either finished or almost finished when he was served. He ordered the same dish as 1-2 other people at the table.
We were not in a rush - but it was surprising that management didn't apologize or offer to comp the very late meal. Our waitress was very pleasant, but she appeared to be handling most of the seated tables. The kitchen needed help. Would definitely go back the next time we are in PA visiting family. However the staffing levels are not commensurate with the prices.

Such a cool little place tucked into the corner of the town. Definitely check it out.

Pie Cucina your food isn't good enough to make up for the abysmal waiting staff. Its sad because its a cute little restaurant. Plan to spend 2 hours for dinner....and get ignored for a pretty solid 30 minutes of that. Don't get thirsty because 1 refill on water is all you get.

They gave great food, large portions, and the best dessert.

Blairsville s best kept secret. A quaint restaurant decorated with treasures serving delicious food by great servers! What more can you ask for? We have dined here many times over the years and always leave full and happy! One of our favorites.

Charming place tucked away at the end of a dead end road. Delicious food, good service and GREAT desserts! So glad to have this hidden local gem.

Excellent food, nice restaurant and fantastic service. Have been here on multiple occasions with several people. Large menu with many different choices from fish, pasta, salads and more. Plus additional daily specials and early bird items. Excellent desserts too. Service was very quick and foods prepared perfectly. Highly recommended. Can be a little difficult to find from 22. Use your GPS. Will return! Highly recommended.

Food was excellent as was the service. No AC in the bathrooms, though...

This restaurant is a gem. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is cozy yet still a touch of elegance. Eating on the patio is a treat on any pleasant evening. The staff is attentive and always makes our experience memorable. This is our go-to for casual dining as well as celebrating special events!

The food was not bad, neither was the service. However, items come with things not stated and not listed in the menu, therefore prohibiting people from making completely informed decisions as to what they want to eat. In addition, I have eaten at restaurants with comparable pricing and the food much better. So, 3 out of 5 stars for not being a bad place, but too expensive for the quality, by far.

We recently planned a party here. Working with the owner was the worst experience I've ever had - she is rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. She changed prices twice, we ran out of food items at the event, and there were not enough seats set up to start the party even though the exact number was confirmed on my part multiple times. Thank goodness our waitress was amazing and the food was decent (although it's hard to mess up basic appetizers)! Never again will I give this lady business!

Ownership needs to do a lot better job and be more conscious of handicap accessible entrances as you step inside there is elevation changes that for a handicapped person getting around does not fare well for them. Brick pavers on the outside we're all uneven and very hard to walk across. there was one exit door that was locked that could have made the trip out to the parking lot a lot shorter. the food there wasn't really the very best, I would certainly look around in the area for another restaurant to have a party at and would consider this restaurant as my last resort.

Dinner was excellent. The service was great. It's just a little bit of heaven right here in Blairsville.

What a wonderful restaurant. I didn t know it existed till yesterday. The food and drinks are great as well as being very reasonably priced. This might become my go to place!!!

We love the decor and food. Wide variety of choices. Great salads, perfect Italian, fabulous desserts. It's our go to spot.

The Food is superb. The ambiance is warm and beautiful. Our waitress Allie was fantastic and her suggestions were spot on. We booked Valentine's Day already. We highly recommend Pie Cucina.

You don't know what you're missing if you've never been to this diamond in the rough. They have amazing food and service!

This is place is rediculous. Our first time there tonight and everything was amazing. The food is like next level good, seriously. We have been to a bunch of restaurants in the area, and this little place we never heard of crushed them all. There is little point in eating out anywhere else, I am blown away by the place, simply outstanding.

Went for dinner after a veiwing at a local funeral home my wife and I were seated at8:05 pm and felt that we we're very rushed with are meal , salad arrived before we could start are app half way through are main course the waitress wanted to know if we we're going to have coffee . When we ordered desert she wanted to know if we're going to have it to go.if you are going to rush your dinners don't seat any one after 7:00 so you can be out the door by 9:00 if I want fast food I will go to McDonald's for 20$ not pie cucina for a 100$

I had the veal mia mama and it was excellent. The cream sauce was sublime. The salad and bread is always perfect.!

This place is a joke. Never again. Worse service ever. How are you still in business.

Food was average, prices are way to high for what you get. Service was terrible. When I went to pay though she asked me if I wanted to leave a tip, when I told her no bc our service was bad she proceeded to engage with me about how that was rude. I will never go back. I would also like to add that I always tip, this place just really sucked.

Very nice! Food was excellent. A little understaffed or servers need to pay more attention to customers. I will go back though.

I always seem to get a great meal. The pizza is great. Plenty of toppings. I like it as it is always quiet and cozy.

Very surprised to have this level of food and service! I consider myself somewhat of a italian restaurant connoisseur as I am from upstate NY and have a huge italian family and there is a huge italian population in Rochester. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Service was excellent and never waited more than a few moments between meals/drinks. I got mussels and clams diavolo for an appetizer and it was probably the best I've had. For dinner I ordered the Veal Joseph and that was excellent as well. Couldn't have been more happy with this place. The place itself is very beautiful as well. Finally, the price was more than fair. For beer, appetizer and dinner....$36. I left a $10 tip as I felt it was well worth it.

I loved the food and the Atmosphere. Grade A food, i never had food that tasted so well and the portions are great as well as the plating. This place is a secret on the corner of Blairsville Pa. I will be back.

Amazing food a little pricey but definitely worth it for the portion size , also we just attended a valentines dinner event there for our church and the food the provided was delicious and the servers were very attentive

Tucked away in Blairsville PA. This quaint and well maintained restaurant exudes charisma and Charm, welcoming you in with its family feel and exceptional personalities. The facility is well looked after and the menu is everything you would expect.. Will certainly return when in the area.

I like the restaurant ambience and awesome interiors feel like eating food in Italy. I really like the food and especially New Orleans Seafood Pasta and it's delicious. I would strongly recommend to try New Orleans Seafood Pasta.

Worst Boss/Owner I have ever met! Treats her staff horrible and doesn't clean the kitchen we at all!

Great little restaurant. Laid out in a house so its not what you expect. Very nice feel to it and a great date location.

Food was good but 2 large tables of partiers made it impossible to talk to my wife without screaming. They should have seated this large group in another room. Couldn't even hear our server. Very poor management and not an enjoyable dinner at all.
