Lynette was really helpful in getting us set up over chat on their website. We did the Signature Vineyard Tasting. The wine, the view and the people. It was a trifecta of perfection! I can't wait to go back.

A/c was on but it was just as cool outside in the 90 degree shade. Paid $34 for a bottle of 'unoaked' Chardonnay and it was oaked. No refund or apologies offered. Don't believe what these stuffy country clubbers tell you. Oh and stay off their lawn if you're not golfing or you will be reprimanded.

The folks at Phelps Creek are awesome! I never cared much for Pinot Noir before trying the ones from Phelps Creek and Bob's family. Simply spectacular. The customer service is first rate as well!

We enjoyed the picnic under oak trees in the middle of the vineyard. The wine was delicious and the food pairings hit the spot. The location is spectacular. The views and warm breeze were just perfect. This was the highlight of our wine week vacation. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing afternoon at the vineyard. Jean Luc (sp) was a great guide and host. The wine tasting under the oak trees, surrounded by the vineyard was an amazing experience. Oh and the wine tasted great! Especially the Pinot Noir. Thank you for a great afternoon.

Mediocre atmosphere and service. The outdoor tasting area is adjacent to a busy parking lot, and during our visit in a cloud of cigarette smoke. The wine was good but you can seriously do way better in the immediate area if you want a pleasant atmosphere.

Whenever friends are in town to visit, I make sure to send them to the Phelps Creek Tasting Room. The picturesque location with beautiful views of Mt. Hood is superb and it is a comfortable and casual environment to enjoy quality wine!

We have been wine club members for many years, and while the wines are always superb, the warmth and welcome of the owners and staff is what really shines at this amazing vineyard and winery. Highly recommend!!

Phelps Creek Vineyards is one of the lesser-known gems of the Oregon wine industry - mostly because it's in the Columbia Gorge, not the Willamette Valley. I discovered their wines at a tasting about 5-6 years ago and was struck by the combination of quality and emphasis of flavors and aromas specific to their area. Been a member of wine club for a few years now, enjoying every minute of it.

Sometimes you just get lucky and find outstanding wine (and people)! On our 1st trip to Oregon seeking Pinot Noir we 1st went up the Columbia River seeking golf courses...we just happened upon Phelps Creek's tasting room and it's been the best of the best experiences. LOVE the Pinots (Noir & Gris) & find the Chardonnays to be our favorites of that varietal...the before sale & after sale experience is extraordinary. We sent our daughter & future husband there for a tasting and they spent the day with the family! Now they're married and we have a grandson! Who knows what your experience will be but I'll bet it's 110% above your expectations!

The view, the customer service, the wines what more can you ask for! A vineyard that sit on top of the "Hood" with great wines! Enjoyed our day of wine tasting. Thank you Ben for a great tour. A case will be ordered soon for the holidays! See you again on our next visit!

The wine selection provided at this good river winery is exceptional. My husband and I are always interested to try something new, and the staff could not be more helpful in determining what would fit our preferences. They have very senisblely priced bottles and also have reserve bottles for special occasions. A must stop for Pinot noir drinkers!

We found Phelps Creek when we were on an anniversary trip 3 years ago.. Not only does it have the most spectacular views but the wine was the best we had in the Hood Valley area and on our entire trip. Their tasting room was intimate and their staff knowledgeable. We signed up immediately to be a club member and Have enjoyed their amazing wine from 2700 miles away ever since.

Phelps Creek is one of the best wineries in the Gorge. Not to mention they have the best view from their winery/vineyard! This spectacular view does not take away from the wines they have to offer. Each wine (both red and white), were subtly distinct in their own taste and did not have any characteristics of being overproduced - you can really taste the grapes for what they are. I don't drink much white, but their Gewurtztraminer was definitely a star as it wasn't the sugar/syrup bomb that most producers make. They offer a few Pinot Noirs, each standing out in their own way, however, my favorite was the Le Petit Pinot. Its a fun, bright wine that makes you want more with every sip! Perfect for summer.

Bought a Phelps tasting certificate from my favorite auction for a non-profit in Seattle, Prospect Enrichment Preschool. Gathered 5 others, rented a house & the party began! A short walking tour of the vineyard; sips of CALAMITY from the BARREL (just shipped me 3 bottles this month); & THEN an amazing wine/food pairing (made in house) while over looking the beautiful valley! Great wine - great farm people!

Just placed my first online order... pre-ordered a few bottles of the 'Calamity' Smoky Pinot Noir. The website is very well-designed and intuitive, easy to navigate. I have enjoyed other Phelps Creek wines in the past but never tried their Pinots and am very curious to experience a 'smoky' pinot noir.

We visited Phelps Creek on Friday June 7, 2019. The individuals manning the tasting room were very friendly and knowledgeable on the wine and what we should taste. My wife is a white wine drinker and I prefer red wine. We bought a case of mixed white and red (Pinot noir). Phelps Creek is a must visit to the Columbia vAlly!

I have had the pleasure to tour their vineyard and taste many of their wines. Well worth the trip to beautiful Hood River and just a wonderful experience, in addition to drinking some fantastic wine!

This vineyard was recommended by a Portland wine store, so on our recent visit, we stopped in on our way from Mt. Hood to the Falls. I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. We each did a tastings, which had various pinots, all of which we enjoyed. We liked them so much that we bought a bottle (and one of the tasting fees was applied to the cost). We enjoyed learning about the wine, and Portland from the Nashville transplant that poured that day. I have done tastings in Napa, Paso Robles and Israel, and think I liked this one best. I have already recommended the vineyard to others, and will be on the lookout for Oregon pinots down in LA.

Read a great review of one of their wines and contacted them by phone. Lynette was very nice and helpful and took care of my order and we had a very nice conversation. I am very much looking forward to enjoying the wine when it arrives.

What a wonderful experience! Everything from the scenery, vineyard tour, including wine tasting in the vineyard, visiting the crush pad, barrel tasting,
and outstanding wine pairings from the deck, exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Hannah, was fantastic. She is quite knowledgeable, friendly and a great representative for Phelps Creek Vineyards. BTW...the Pinot Noirs are fantastic.

Be forewarned that the road to this place and the private picnic areas are treacherous. We were all shocked that there was no mention of this in any reviews or on the directions they give. By the time we made it to the White Oaks we were all extremely stressed and upset and needed at least 20 min just to calm down. Very, very steep and winding dirt roads. The service was excellent and the wine and food in the picnic basket was also very good. The actual grounds around the picnic site were ok, again very very steep and difficult to walk around or take pictures anywhere outside of the seating area under the trees which is as they say full shade. Do bring a blanket even on 70 degree day.

We had a FABULOUS time during our private tour at the vineyard. Hannah was an amazing tour guide and was so helpful and FUN! The tour, barrel tasting, and food pairing exceeded our expectations! The Phelps Creek family opened up their grounds, home, and animals to us and we had a truly amazing time! Thank you!

I have visited many wineries, but Phelps Creek is one of my absolute favorites, Bob and Lynette and staff really pull out all the stops to make your visit memorable. If you ever have a chance to visit the actual winery, the vista is breathtaking and so is the wine!

We first met the folks at Phelps Creek through my BIL. A family run winery, it really feels, well, family but with amazing wine. We have been wine club members for almost two years now and get endless compliments when we bring a bottle of wine. The wine club pick up parties are delightful and the member perks are great too. Can t recommend enough.

Our tour of Phelps Creek Vineyards was everything we were hoping for and more. We had just gotten engaged and decided to branch out from the brewery tours to try a vineyard tour. Once we showed up it turned out that we were the only ones booked for that day, so we had our own private tour guided by Lynette. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about the process from beginning to end, and the tastings along the way were spectacular. Overall we enjoyed the tour so much that it will now be a staple anytime we visit Oregon again. I highly recommend Phelps Creek over some of the larger vineyards for a tour because it just feels so much more personal and quaint.

In addition to the tour, we signed up for their club membership for the wine packages. Being from Arizona we unfortunately cannot receive shipments during the summer months as it is too hot, but Becky is always super helpful by holding onto our summer order through those months so that we can enjoy them later. Overall, I can't begin to explain how much we have enjoyed our experiences with Phelps Creek and everyone we've had the opportunity to meet. And in case I haven't mentioned it yet the wine itself is fantastic as well, Oregon Pinot Noirs are among my favorites and they certainly don't disappoint!

Love these wines and the happy crew who make it all happen.
Relaxed atmosphere at the Tasting Room is always a treat. Cold-weather COVID-friendly table-heaters are a great addition for winter!

The gentleman hosting us was very engaging and knowledgeable and we had a wonderful tasting experience. We loved the tasting room setting at the country club golf course. There is a great view of Mt Hood unfortunately it was hidden by dense cloud cover the day we were there. The wines were excellent and we ended up shipping 6 bottles home. We had just spent 3 days further south in the Willamette valley tasting wine before coming to the Columbia Gorge area. Phelps Creek Vineyards was one of favorite experiences.

Best wine ever, I am extremely sensitive and can get headaches very easily especially if there are too many tannins. Never get headaches with Phelps Creek wines. Too top it off the most amazing family and they always make you feel your a part of it. Great service, cannot say enough about them and the wine. Highly recommend them.

First taste of the Phelps Creek Sauvignon Blanc at a restaurant and I was in love! 2 years ago I had travelled to Bend from NC for a wedding. Joined the Phelps Creek Wine Club immediately and have been tasting reds and whites and ordering from afar ever since. They have been so very helpful to me in getting my orders and planning shipping to avoid hot weather. Hope to return to OR and actually visit the Winery!

We very much enjoy serving a variety of Phelps Creek Vineyards wine that we order on a regular basis. Thank you to Lynette, Bob and their staff for providing us wine that is rich, aromatic and fruity.

My parents and I visited last summer while on a trip to the PNW and had a wonderful time in the tasting room. We wound up purchasing a bottle or two and sitting out on the patio in the sun to enjoy our wine against the backdrop of Mt Hood. We have all ordered from the online store since, and I am so happy we found this gem of a vineyard! We will definitely visit again whenever we are in the area.

This is a small, family owned and operated vineyard and winery in a stunning location in the hills above the town of Hood River, Oregon.
The commitment to quality and the strong ties to the local community are both obvious and compelling. We felt fortunate to be able spend some time in the vineyard on a Sunday afternoon in July while sampling some outstanding wines.
The old saw in winemaking about getting the best fruit from the best sites and then staying out of the way seems to be going on here. They definitely have the terroir , and in the glass, that Pinot speaks for itself!
Highly recommend a visit

We started out 30 minutes early to reach our picnic spot and its a very good thing we did because we had a VERY difficult time following the directions given. The Homestead is quite far from the main winery property but we made it just in time. When we arrived Lynette was there to greet us with a cute little basket of food and a bottle of delicious wine. We wondered if there was enough food for us because we did come hungry. But it turned out to be just perfect and all frustrations were gently lifted away as we enjoyed the delicious picnic in the peace and beauty and solitude of the Homestead spot.

Phelps Creek Vineyards are hands-down, my absolute favorite Pinot Noir winemakers in the U.S. I can't overstate how delicious their wines are and how distinct they are from other Oregon/West coast Pinot Noirs.

My favorite reds are Becky's Cuvee, the Regina and Beehive. I encourage all Pinot Noir lovers to visit their gorgeous vineyards. I await my order all the way across the country in NY, anxiously!!!

The drive through the forest is well rewarded by the friendly folks and great tasting wine you will encounter at the end of your journey. This is the perfect place for a romantic or family picnic, as there is a spot on the property with a awesome view of Mt. Hood.

My wife and four of our friends spent a wonderful Saturday on 14 September at the Phelps Creek vineyards. Hannah was our guide through the vineyards at the estate. She gave us in depth information on the vines and the maintenance required to produce the excellent wines we love. She then conducted a barrel tasting as well as a paring of charcuterie with the Phelps Creek wines. It was a magical and wonderful experience we shall always remember.

Amazing gem with incredible people! The tasting room was ran by a great guy named Nick. He was super informative and we enjoyed talking with him. Lynette was incredible and did everything possible to make our picnic time a life long memory for us. We enjoyed having our special wine and picnic overlooking an amazing view. The drive to the vineyard is not bad at all if you are with four wheel drive. Many have complained about the drive but in our opinion with four wheel drive, it was perfectly doable.
Now to the WINE... I have been all over the world and have tasted some great wines. Every wine I tasted at Phelps Creek I loved! We went back the next day to grab some for our road trip and to share with friends. Definitely will be joining the wine club once I get back out East. Save yourself the trouble of finding a good vineyard and just stop here. This place made our Hood River trip!

Had an absolutely lovely afternoon experiencing a wine tasting out in Phelps vineyards! Sat at a picnic table, enjoying a view of Mt. Hood and all their vineyards while sipping on a flight of good wine and a picnic basket of local goodies! 100% would recommend and would do it again with friends, out of town visitors and/or family!

We did the picnic at the Homestead section of the vineyard. It was awesome! A bit windy, but that's normal for Hood River. The basket was amazing, and when we decided to do another bottle of wine, it was there before we knew it. Great space. Great wine.
