I couldn t use it that way, so I called the customer service number & the lady was very helpful & fixed the problem & had a new card e mailed to me within a few minutes! I have taken my dog to Pet Smart for the last 10 years. I am very disappointed in their so call reward system. It is the 21st century, they should automatically give me rewards base on the number of times I use their services. It should be a system like Starbucks. I should not have to produce faded receipts or coupon papers- what a waste to the environment and not very progressive to a green economy. I have stopped giving them my phone number for their tracking my purchase for their benefit and not any real benefit to me

WARNING FOR PET OWNERS IN INDIANAPOLIS: BOTCHED GROOMING & ABUSE BY PetSmart

Bingley had a grooming appointment scheduled at the PetSmart in Indianapolis on Washington Street this morning at 8am. At 11am I received a call anticipating news that he was finished, but to my dismay (& later horror when I showed up at the "grooming salon") they, meaning Haley, Lindsey, & the 3 other groomers STANDING AROUND DOING NOTHING completely botched his grooming.

Now why you ask were they unable to complete this grooming? Bingley is the sweetest dog in the world, and also really anxious & easily scared. I warned them of this prior to the appointment, and Lindsey herself even confirmed they would go slow and be gentle with him. During the appointment, they shaved his body first, and then attempted to bathe & dry him with a blow dryer. The first time, he had diarrhea from stress. Instead of calling me, they tried a second time to blow dry him, with again him having a bout of diarrhea from stress. THEY ATTEMPTED A THIRD TIME, BECAUSE YOU KNOW, IT'S THE CHARM. After he CLEARLY was not taking to their "grooming" methods well, that's when they finally decided to call me. We walked into the salon where all 5 groomers were standing around. They explained the aforementioned, but could not answer the question: WHY DID YOU CONTINUE TO TRY TO FINISH THE GROOMING WHEN HE WAS CLEARLY STRESSED & NOT DOING WELL, & WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME THE FIRST TIME HE GOT SICK. You can imagine my face when Bingley slowly walked out. Pieces & tufts of hair mangled on his chest, stomach, & all 4 limbs.

It's heartbreaking & horrifying to imagine what they subjected Bingley to, just so "THEY COULD JUST GET THE JOB DONE." I'm sad to be sharing this story, because it involves the one thing I hold most dear in my life. And I'm also sad to say that I know this is not a unique instance, especially regarding PetSmart.

Please share & spread this, so that the establishment that is PetSmart can go die the inglorious retail death it so righteously deserves.

Went to Ocala FL location on 6/20 and had only one cashier. I was the 27th person in line! This is ridiculous! Picked up my dog from salon and they didn't even wash is ears, they were nasty and it cost me $56 dollars. Will not EVER go to this store again!!!

My experience at your Daytona Beach location: My 84-year-old mother who lives on a fixed income took her cat there yesterday for an illness. I called to see how things were going and she said they were talking with her about a $30/month program so the cat could go there at anytime. This is a cat that she rescued, has been getting shots, annual visits, etc. that don't amount to nearly $360 at another vet. I told my mother to please not do it; the cat is relatively healthy but for this illness and to get the illness taken care of and she could resume her other maintenance program. She agreed.

One hour later, she has signed up for the program (good salesmanship I guess--but doesn't have to be that good with an 84-year-old woman who is also hard-of-hearing) and they've performed other services covered under the plan, so now if she doesn't buy the plan, the bill (for a cat urine test and some medicine) is $511. This way, they can say, "but look--because you bought the plan (that will cost her $360/year), your bill today is $111.")

I find this out and call the store, explaining the situation and asking to reverse the monthly program. "We can't do that here, you have to call an 888 #" (which is closed until Monday, btw). The people I spoke with at the store were very nice until the end of the conversation when I say, "May I respectfully make a suggestion that when you're dealing with an 84-year-old..." that's when the woman said, "thank you, ma'am" and hung up on me.

This interaction, along with the class action suit I read about when I googled Banfield Pet Hospital, is about all I need to know about them.

My dad and I had the worst experience ever at store # 723 in Saginaw Michigan. We had an appointment to get our Aussie groomed and bathed. The appointment was at 4:30 and we were 1 minute late. We got into the groomers and the lady said the appointment was cancelled by me, and I did not cancel nothing at all. Then she proceeded to tell me that they can still get my Aussie in to groom him and I asked how much it would be. She put all the information into the computer about my dog and all that, and then she told my dad that it was going to cost about $80.00 to get it done. Yes my dog had a lot of matting on him but she did not have to tell him that she would have to shave my Aussie to get the mats out. As a groomer they should know that the fur of Aussies are used to keep them cool in the summer months and that you don't shave it all off because of all the mat. I went to Pet Supply Plus and got a comb, a conditioner and scissors to help with the mats, and it is working just great. Wish your groomers had more knowledge about the different breed of dogs hair so they can do the job the right way. Petsmart has lost another customer, in the groomers and in the store. I will go to a local groomer that I know does a great job on dogs and will deal with other pet stores for my pets food and other things that are needed for them.

I went into the store in a Fairless Hills, PA yesterday. Was surprised to find that almost the entire cat section was completely empty. They didn t even have one litter scoop in stock. So I got my food and catnip and checked out. When I got home I realized the cashier had not put my catnip in the bag and had accidentally charged me twice for my food. I called the store immediately and spoke to a manager who told me it would be no problem to go in this morning for a refund as I was not able to return yesterday. I went back first thing this morning and the cashier was the rudest person I ve ever dealt with. She was literally yelling at me telling me I had to return to the store immediately when I noticed a mistake because she had no way of knowing if I was telling the truth. I gave her the managers name and kept trying to explain what happened but she was just yelling at me. She finally said at the top of her lungs just forget it. Your obviously not understanding what I m telling you . Any time I tried to say anything after that she would say you re fine . She wouldn t even let me speak. I called the manager to complain, but my sense is nothing will be done. I will never be returning

My dog king was groomed at the pet smart Pelham location on April 3rd. He came home with his coat shiny and very clean I must say was very pleased about the service. However the complaint I have is the following. My king is 14 years old and is getting Adequan shots at the central avenue location every week which is very costly I must say but it is done because King is my family. The time I made the appointment I did tell the groomers that his hips are bad and he won't be able to stand for long. My boyfriend pick up king from the groomer this afternoon for the groomer to say King was band from getting groomed at all pet smart locations. Where is that in the rules/handbook that states a dog with standing issues cannot be serviced. This was never stated to me at the time of my appointment. So my question is what happens to senior dogs that can't stand for a long period of time, they just can't get washed cause of a health condition. That is very disturbing and is discrimination. Not only is Pet smart a huge franchise with good credentials. But after today I question if I should continue business with the Banfield Hospital which King is being seen at every week for the Adequan shots every week, as well as every month I am getting a deduction from my bank account for his service package to care for his hips. Pet smart is a huge franchise and this is not a good taste in my mouth for excellent costumer service at all. I will also like the number/ email for the corporate office to address this matter.

I am giving Petsmart on power and the 202 in Mesa Arizona a one star rating only for the mere fact that they are partnered with Banfield. Benfield is literally the worst veterinary clinic I have ever been to. I had never had a dog before and I got a new puppy and ended up taking him to Banfield for all of his initial stuff. Three days after I got him he was getting pretty sick and started puking so I took him to Banfield.

They examined him and said he was fine and sent me home. The next day he got worse so I took him back. Again they examined him and said he was fine and tried to send me home.
I refused to leave until they did a parVo test on the dog which I did request the first and second time. After I demanded the parvo test they finally did it and he came back positive.

If I had trusted the vets at this location my dog would have died. They are a terrible clinic

I am very upset that you made the decision to abandon the salt water fish hobby I don t understand why when you have such a great freshwater fish and supply departments in fact I wish you would have expanded the salt hobby I think you would have done a great job I wish you would carry fish. We have nothing down here in South Carolina I have to go to Georgia for fish I don t trust on line fish and Petco s are always sick please reconsider your decision.

After we notified the corporate of Ferrandino and Son about several contractors taking in consideration our review, we ve noticed that our review is not showing up in Google.

UPDATE ON 12/03/2020:
As of now, this company their partners in crime Pet Smart has not paid our electrical services. They keep asking for more documentation and keep rejecting them all.
this update is to add that several business owners has contacted out officers to verify if we received payment as theyare being contacted by Ferrandino and Son to do works. We shared our experiences with them and we recommend them NOT do to business with Ferrandino and Son, and/or Pet smart.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
We're in the process of "dealing" with this unethical, unprofessional and scammer company. Although we haven't finish the investigation we requested to Pet Smart, we recommend NO TO DO business with Ferrandino and Son. We read all the reviews and we didn't though those issues could happen to us, but it happened. Every single complain from other vendor is 100% true.
Ferrandino and Son DOES NOT pay their vendors.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR FAMILY AND WORKERS.

Wow it's no wonder PetSmart lacks quality service and upholds any kind of integrity whatsoever; just read the reviews on here! Just got off the phone with customer service after I lost a total of 2 hours of my life and all they could compensate for their employees' lack of competency was a lousy online coupon that I could of just Googled for. Don't ever go to the Houston location in the Heights off Taylor Street. They treat their customers w/o any respect and will make you regret giving the company as a whole any business. Will shop elsewhere from now on after they hardly did anything to resolve my issue and will not recommend anyone I know to shop at any PetSmart for absolutely anything. Lol way to professionally and ethically handle business PetSmart.

I decided to stop in a brand new Petsmart store in California, Maryland. When i entered the store there 3-4 employees standing up front. I walked past them and not one hello, i then walked around the store, more employees working and still nothing. I was leaving the store and one person was by the door, looked at my way, said nothing. I find it disrespectful opening a new store, i shop alot at Petco, good prices and discounts. Oh and there employees have good customer service.....

I bought a fish from the killeen location that was sick. It wasn't real noticable at first it was just a black spot on its head. And then these huge white spots but only on it's head. I took it back and the employees said ick so I bought the meds they suggested. They also said the treatment required 25% water changes everyday before re-medicating. I did this for a week but instead of him getting better the other fish became sick.....with all things ick. Did research and it says due to all the water changes and stress. That fish died on me so I took it back and they refunded for that and the meds. Meanwhile my otherfish were getting worse. Missing scales, red patches, and tattered fins. So I call up there and they say the red is normal and there are no signs of ick. So I show her pics and she says she does see it. All these times my water tested perfect. I call corporate because all the fish I bought from them have died now and so have some of the fish I have had for months. Corporate says they will replace the fish. Today my husbands favorite and last fish dies so I go back up there and they refuse to refund or replace the fish. I know it is a fish.....but they mean more. My husband has been gone for over a month now and he won't be home until after Christmas.....their his fish. So I call corporate again and they say something completly different. It was a different person but still. Petsmart needs to get it's story straight. O and the sickness the fish I bought had was hole in the head and it's fins were tattered by the time he died. The employee today says it isn't transferable like ick. It is a bacteria and bacteria does spread.

The Peru IL location has horrible customer service. I called to talk to a manager, and the girl (Brooke) that answered said they were not allowed to take messages to have a manager call you back, because the manager was busy. They are out of dog food all the time. I was told that people need to buy it more for them to stock it.

I guess with both small and large bags out all the time isn't enough for them to stock it more. I will be taking my business else where. I hope they can train their new employees to at least take phone messages!

Me and my sister bought a bearded dragon from petsmart, only to take them home for one day and see what we saw was blood in the stool. I took a stool sample in to my vet and learned they had pin worms, not digesting food and there was something else wrong with them. I exposed my dragons, my dog and our selves to something that is extremely contagious. They refunded my money for the poop sample test but stated there was nothing they could do about my pets. Stated that they ALL need there own cages. Really? You sold them to us with at least 3-4 in cages together. My sister wanted hers back after they saw their vet but I did not. We went to go pick it up and they said they needed proof of proper housing for it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Do you do that to ever person that purchases one? No cause you didn't when you orginally sold it to us. They acted as if WE did something wrong. We had them one day. You sold it to us that way and tried to blame use for YOUR mistake.
Prior I took my German shepherd to the other petsmart for a bath. She came back with a chunk taken out of her nose that is now a permanent mark. I will NEVER EVER go back and I hope others see this post and realize they dont care o e bit about animals or customers, only out to make a buck.

Went to Pet Smart to purchase a 125 gallon tank with stand. Unfortunately they don't deliver. They will deliver it to the store, but not your home, which doesn't make any sense. I'm 63 years old and don't have a way to get it home. I guess Pet Smart won't be getting my 600 + dollars. My opinion, but that's bad business and they lose out on profit. If they can deliver it to the store, why can't they deliver it to the customers home address??" ( That CRAZY ) !!"

If I could give negative stars I would. We went into a store in Colorado Springs Colorado (#1124) to purchase fish for our 30 Gallon tank. We were told our tank wasn't big enough for most of the fish. And was finally sold two mickey mouse platties.. the lady helping us was beyond rude and extremely unprofessional with my children yelling at them for being to close to her. We took the fish with not such a great feeling about the whole situation. We introduced the fish onto our established tank of 4 plus years. With in a week we lost our entire tank! Two fish we had for over 4 years and just like that GONE. Our kids are devastated. My husband and I are at a complete loss for words. A healthy well established tank with absolutely NO problems completely destroyed in 5 days! When I called i got an apology and was told again maybe my 30 gallon bow front was maybe just too small. Funny, the fish in the stores are in extremely small tanks hows that not animal cruelty? My name was not taken written down and my number was never asked for but I was told the manager would talk to his team and try to figure out how to make this right...... yeah seems like they wanted to make it right. I will NEVER go back to this store again.

On Black Friday I bought 6 fish for my 75 Gallon tank. By Tuesday all the new fish and my four fish I had for three years were dead.
Pet smart sells fish hat have ick. When I realized the fish had ick I treated the tank but was to late. I now have to break down my tank and start all over mind you I have never had an issue with my tank like this. I'm not new to this and the staff talk to you like you know nothing I have had this tank for 23 years. don't buy from them.

I'm giving a 1 star because I can't post without it! Grooming was terrible!! I took my puppy for a bath, teeth cleaning, and nail trim. The only thing he got was a bath! I know his teeth weren't brushed because he had the same neon green fuzz in his teeth from the tennis ball that he had when he walked in the door. A complete rip off and I'll NEVER take him there again

When I picked up my dogs they were so happy they wanted to stay with her Jessa. She. was professional, kind, in control of her area. She is in the right job. Thank you, Cindy Stump

I have had an ongoing issue with Pet Smart in Billings Mt. for a couple months now. A gal Miranda had cut my Shih Tzu more than once, making her bleed!!! Almost every time I've taken her in I've had to return her for touch ups. This last (I mean very last trip) was supposed to be free and I'm still waiting for my refund. In which the manager Tom said would be in his office when we came in, and he also stated that he would have notes in computer. Which he DID NOT! Tom also stated that Brittney would call to set up refund.... Never heard a word! This is unacceptable... They have used and tried my patience.... They want to make this a Legal Issue,,,, so be it!!!

She is slim , fit, and young looiking. She appears to be 35 years old. She was turned down because she is not a very young person.

UPDATE I now have the cat stuck in the ventilation system of my home. I have tried calling the district manager and the response I have gotten is no record of the name they gave me and sit on hold forever, finally gave up. So district manager please call me, my next step will be the better business bureau. Read the other reviews. I will be going to Petco cause it sounds like this company doesn't care about pets. All about profit.

I adopted a cat from the store in Oro Valley, Az. The shelter that this store partnered with concerns me. I stayed in touch about a couple of cats I was interested in up to the day before the cats were going to be in the store. It made me VERY uncomfortable to find out she had multiple people lined up to look at the one cat. When I spoke with both the shelter and store about the cat I purchased, the response was lukewarm from the store and the shelter woman just wanted to insult me. Is this the image you want?

After hearing stories about your treatment towards the bully breeds and discrimination against Blu on cinco de mayo I absolutely refuse to ever go to Petsmart again! I have been scared more of small breeds than ever felt scared of a pitbull. Where do you get your lack of knowledge? If a legitimate company had knowledge of pitbull breeds you would know that Dachshunds are more aggressive then pitbulls. This WAS proven in a study! I'm sickened, others are sickened by what has happened (go check your facebook) and my friends who are petsmart goers will no longer shop there either.

I know my pitbull mix will be welcomed with open arms at Petco.

I used to love Petsmart, and stuck up for you jerks even when others had unfair things to say about the company. Now I can see Petsmarts true colors, you are a sad and twisted company!

We just recently purchased a rope chew toy petsmart brand from you. Right now, my Champion Labrador Retriever has a 50/50 chance of living till Monday. The vet hospital had to remove strings from his stomach, cut out 1 foot of intestines as he had fibers from his stomach to his pancreas. Buyer beware: not all toys sold by petsmart are safe for dogs. They have very possibly indirectly killed my Labrador. You will be hearing from my Attorney s next week. I am going to make you famous on social media. Furthermore, the HRC and AKC are already posting this on their websites because we are trainers of hunting labs.
You will do what is right by my family and others peoples families. These animals are our children. It s like selling crack to a baby.

all these reviews are about Petsmart and each individual store rather than the Corporate Office itself. What a shame people can't write a review about a singular building anymore. Laziness.

I think this corporate office is a great place! Especially from an employment standpoint. A good hourly wage and easy tasks to follow. No drama, no ghetto employees.

I contacted Petsmart on 12/30 to report a significant injury to my pet that occurred during her stay at your pet hotel. The stay was from12/21 through 12/28. During my pets stay, she sustained a serious injury to right eye. The injury was ignored by the staff and left untreated for the entire duration of her stay. (There was a vet located in that particular store) I was contacted by the staff while I was on vacation. The injury was down played by the staff as they told me her eye was simply red. When we picked up Sookie, her eye was infected due to an ignored laceration to the eye and had a faded (cloudy) appearance like it was dying. I've been in contact with the corporate customer service line and the stores hotel management. Unfortunately, nothing is happening as of 1/20 (one month later). We have now paid for the hotel stay and several vet visits. As well as medications and the time its taking to medicate Sookies eye multiple times per day. The stores hotel manager has been very empathetic however, everything has been left unresolved as the store is waiting for the corporate pet investigation team to conclude their investigation. Regardless of the out come of the investigation, the staffs negligence to provide veterinary care during Sookies stay escalated the injury as well as the time taken for her to heal. I would like to resolve the case and ask for reimbursement of her veterinary bills and a refund of her neglectful pet hotel stay!! The pet hotel manager has verbally taken responsibility and admitted fault by the staff not following policy and procedure, as well as communicating the health disposition of Sookie to store management during her stay.
We are beginning to feel like this matter is being ignored in hopes that we would just let it go. Our dog's eye may never heal properly or fully because of the negligence of the hotel staff leaving her lacerated eye infected and untreated during her stay.
If this matter is not resolved in a timely manner, we will be contacting legal representation as well as media.

I have the best old dog. The idea of a bark collar was killing me. We moved in to a home with neighbors for the first time and I was worried. Turns out we didn't need it. Unfortunately when my child had purchased the collar she didn't use my phone number. Their exact words were, "These are sold in six places in this town." Please stop buying so many pet products from China. Not only have many dogs died from eating things that come from China but they also have a dog meat festival where they beat, boil, blowtorch and skin dogs alive for their meat. Had bad groom, part of my pups paw pad was cut w clippers/scissors. Didn't feel like this was handled well by groomer or store manager. I felt like they were suggesting I was lying and they wanted it proved by their vet vs photos. Ended up calling corporate which handled the situation quickly. It's unfortunate that it had to be escalated and could not be handled when the incident occurred.

I made the appointment for Kramer to get her nails grinded, ears cleaned and paws smoothed. When I called to confirm the appointment I was told that she can't get those services without getting a bath first. Well, I give Kramer her baths. I called a different PetSmart location and was told that it was a corporate decision.
I told the young man that it sounds like corporate is forcing consumers to spend more money because they've lost $$$ in the past weeks. The young man went silent..... smh.
As the old saying goes "There's more than one way to skin a cat." I bought a PediPaw and I'll do Kramer's nails myself. They could've made a few dollars but now they get no dollars from me from this day forward!

What kind of business makes an error of charging you twice for an over $75.00 purchase and instead of refunding the overcharge they tell you that you will have to take care of it through your BANK? What does my bank have to do with their overcharge? I paid direct debit from my account too. Well that's what just happened to me at PetSmart in Omaha. I did not realize it until I looked at my bank statement nearly two weeks later. The person at the register was "in training". Manager was standing behind me watching her the entire time. Never looked at what she rang up.

Corporate is doing a very good job in handling the problems my girlfriend, Jennifer Perez, is going through. She loves animals and has a strong passion in working with them. She applied for open positions at the Petsmarts located in Bethlehem, Whitehall & Allentown. They are offering entry level grooming programs that will start you off as a bather and then will promote you to a groomer after graduation from the Petsmart Grooming Academy. We called a few times to follow up with the hiring manager in the Bethlehem location but they kept beating around the bush by saying Paulette will return the call. Almost 2 weeks pass and they kept saying Paulette was on vacation. Then they said Samantha(Sam) would return her call. Sam never returned the call so about a couple days later, we decided to follow up in person. First, Samantha got mad at the groomers right in front of us for calling her for our situation. Then she had a million excuses saying Paulette had just got back that same day but she was unavailable in a meeting. Also she was studdering and unconvincing saying that they never got my girlfriend's application. After that, she then said that they already have enough applicants. We asked for Amanda which was another manager and she refused to get her as well. I mentioned that all my girlfriend wanted was an equal opportunity. Sam was very unprofessional and nasty to us and the groomers. 2 weeks later, we followed up with the Whitehall Petsmart and Sarah, the salon manager, was so kind enough to help. She gave my girlfriend a phone interview and then an in-person interview. Sarah loved my girlfriend and then called my girlfriend a couple days later saying that she will keep her posted when business picks up. Sarah then sent my girlfriend's resume to all different Petsmarts. Sarah is the only person that I greatly appreciate as a manager of Petsmart Whitehall. My girlfriend then received a call back from the Bethlehem Petsmart a couple days after Sarah spread around my girlfriend's resume, which is today.
There was an employee by the name of Vanessa from the Bethlehem Petsmart who spoke with my girlfriend saying that she has an appointment on March, 8 2020 at 1pm for a beginner's class with her dog. They know that my girlfriend was only interested in employment since she followed up plenty of times, not for customer lessons. When my girlfriend called Bethlehem Petsmart again to ask about more details, Tara stated there is no Vanessa who works there and Tara was being so disrespectful saying my girlfriend is crazy and must have the wrong number. I was a witness to this since my girlfriend had all phone calls on speakerphone. This is completely unacceptable and if Sam & Tara are representatives of the Petsmart brand, then they are ruining the Petsmart reputation. If Sam & Tara from the 2102 W Union Blvd #22A, Bethlehem, PA 18018 Petsmart are treating initiative, hard working citizens horribly and preventing them from an equal opportunity in employment, imagine how they are treating their customers? We always used to shop at that particular Petsmart since it is the closest, but now we will never return there again. Amanda from the corporate department is helping us greatly with our complaint and she sent emails to other businesses that can help my girlfriend's situation in becoming a part of the Petsmart team. All my girlfriend, Jennifer Perez, is looking for is an equal opportunity for employment. She loves to work with animals and her goal is to become a professional groomer. I appreciate the help and I will look forward in the fortunate future. Petsmart needs Jennifer Perez as an employee so her skills and passion can be acknowledged and utilized towards the success in the grooming division.

My 20 yo daughter adopted a kitten from your Greenbelt MD store. Six DAYS later she had to be put down. She had a birth defect that should have been found in an Xray and observation of her breathing and lethargy. The store has vets there was no excuse too miss this and devastate our family including paying $500 to put her down! I spoke to the store manager who asked what compensation I was asking for. I asked for a new carrier as we had to donate the one bought there too painful to keep and bring home. My daughter bought 100s of dollars of supplies at this store for that cat. That manager told me I would have to return it to get another one. For the offense that store did to us the least she could do is give us a new carrier and not their cardboard one. She bought a nice one. Your store is reaponsible for your products even live animals!! We are heartbroken and she just rubbed salt in the womb.

Would give zero star if I could. In regards to the Trinty store #0322 terrible. Customer's are not valued at all and since it's the customer's that shop there giving the employees a pay check they need to value their jobs! I have been denied a price match even with a valid receipt confirming what another petsmart store sold an item for. When trying to call in and ask a question the clerk didn't let me finish asking my question before cutting me off while I was still speaking to answer what the clerk assumed I was going to ask. Then when I told clerk to wait and here my question I was hung up up! So I called right back and was waiting for 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone again. Just ridiculous. No customer service what so ever. Time for corporate to clean house and get better staff. I expected better service from a big box chain.

I only give a one because I am blown away that what I thought was a reputable company like PetSmart would allow a convicted animal abuser to host adoption events in one of your stores. She s been doing it at the Pooler, Ga store for years now and many people have had very expensive vet bills after adopting sick puppies from her. She was convicted of her crimes in multiple states and people in the town where she s running her rescue now are working on getting her out of their town. Please help us understand how a pet friendly company would allow a convicted animal abuser to adopt pets out in your store. Several people have reached out to the store and never receive a response. It s sad that a company such as yours would let that happen.

My dog Charlie was dropped @ Poughkeepsie,NY PetSmart 3 yrs ago during grooming. He had to stay at the vets because his back was hurt pretty badly. We live in Maine now. Picked him up from being groomed yesterday afternoon - same groomer as we used 6wks ago (who had done a great job!). He has a "gash" on his lower lip! No one said anything to me about it! Had him at the vet this am and infection is already starting so he's now on prednisone and antibiotics. The assistant manager paid the vet bill but was initially saying they would not reimburse the grooming fees. This BANGOR,Maine store is apparently very disorganized or something.......... last time I was billed for a bandana that I did not ask for and now this. Needless to say he will not go there for grooming again but I want to see something changed. Maybe two way mirrors so WE can watch the grooming without the pet seeing us? That would be a start. I am livid! this is Charlie and the red that looks like his tongue is his injured lower lip.- it is not showing the photos I posted! Nice................ I called corporate, btw, and can not get a human.

My dog was seen at a PetSmart in San Antonio,TX the weekend of Valentine s Day. Not too long after we notice my dog was licking his self more than normal and noticed he had been knocked/cut. We took my dog to the vet (Banfield) where they let us know he had an infection. My dog is a 12 year old Shi Tzu whom we have had since he was 3 months old and has never ever had any health issues. Upon finding out he had an infection we also learned he had an ear infection as well. He was prescribed antibiotics which failed to work. We continued to take him back to banefield and paid for more tests to be done to figure out what the infection was and what could be done to clear it up. Banefield could not tell us what the infection was after so many tests, doctors visits, and coming out of pocket for expenses. We finally found a vet about 10 minutes away who were able to let us know my dog has a staff infection. Since the first diagnosis we have reached out to the PetSmart all they have offered was to give back the money that was spent to get my dog groomed and not to mention a measly $5 coupon was sent to us in the mail. My dog medical records will state that he has not had any health issues until after his visit at the San Antonio PetSmart. Their corporate office will not take any responsibility for what is happening to my dog who is still fighting this infection 4 months later!!!!! If there were an option to post pictures I would definitely let you all see for yourselves what my dog is going through it is upsetting and over $1000 has spent trying to get him well. Please share this with anyone you know that has a pet whether they get groomed or not.

After reading a majority of the posts I came to the realization that it is not just the Petsmart and Banfield in Florida that does not care about your pet its universal. I understand that Banfield is not a part of Petsmart but they do have a partnership agreement and I'm more than sure that the base of their agreement lies on the fact that both companies are extremely unprofessional. Not only are the unprofessional they care about money than they do about your pets; funny when their stores name is PETSMART. They've gotten my dog sick twice at Banfield and refused to offer any consolation. Petsmart gave my dog a bath and he did not smell fresh, the coupon that was shown to them prior to the bath was not honored at checkout; the manager wanted to go back and forth instead and the employees wanted to rush me out. When they called to tell me my pet was ready they called me about the wrong pet and when I spoke to the manager she kept referring to my pet as a dog and not by his name which further proved to me they do NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMAL. I understand now that Banfield and Petsmart does not communicate effectively with pet owners so that they can later on rob them in the payment process, and I have a monthly plan for my pet and will definitely not be renewing. They deserve no stars.

Yet the store or corporate refuse to abide by their own policy, because my receipt is older than 60 days. They never even asked if I have valid identification, and the product I purchased has a 3 year warranty. Which states to contact my dealer (which is petsmart) or visit their website. When all I want to do is exchange them for working units, can't even get the merchandise return card to replace the faulty units. Corporate said it would be up to the store manager weather or not they would accept the return, doesn't state this on the return policy.

I'll make it short and sweet. Placed an online order. Cancelled BY PETSMART. No one knows why however you've kept my money. 2nd order placed with discount given by Petsmart for screw up. Also took that money. That was eventually dropped and another charge taken for a partially shipped order. So far for a $28 order, Petsmart has taken $50.16. I have called 3x and no one can give me any answers AND i STILL do not have my dog food! Since the 1st order was placed, it's been 10 days. I then get an email telling me on their end they reversed charges for some amount that NOTHING has added or subtracted to 5 days before. Nothing has been refunded to me. I emailed back and even broke down the math. Still no answers. Still no refund and still no dog food! This is NOT rocket science and at this point i shouldn't pay anything! All i want is my refund which is a whopping $21 and change and my damn dog food. Never ever again.

After filing the below complaint at least five times, I was told that I will not be receiving a follow up by corporate and was redirected back to the Store Manager who did not care to do anything for me. Very disappointing! I love Petsmart, but if this is how I am going to be treated I refuse to step foot in another one again. I like many of your customers spend a lot of money in your stores for my four pets and all I get is an apology for my inconvenience. I am in the customer service business and this clearly is not customer service. What happened to making the customer happy so they return to your store and spend more money. It is not like you're losing anything. That is just how it works!

On November 16, 2018 my dog was refused to be groom because she was severely matted. I wanted her groomed before we went out of town to Maryland. I went back to the Fayetteville, GA store and spend close to $150 on dog products detangled her fur and later groomed at the Laurel, Maryland location with no problem. Though it is true that Petsmart can refuse service if they feel it is necessary, it was absolutely a bad judgement call. Because if I, the owner who is not a professional dog groomer untangled my dog's fur and did not hurt her, why couldn t the professional have taken care of it. Today I called and spoke to the Store's Assistant Manager Matthew, because the Store Manager was not available. I explained to him the situation and he asked "what would you like me to do to make things better?". I suggested that for my dogs next grooming I should not be charged, because I spent almost $250 on her last grooming due to the grooming manager Briana turning my dog away. He told me he had to call the Store Manager and would call me back. Needless to say I was told that the judgement call was made and that s that. What happened to customer service here? Did I miss something. I kindly let the young man know that I was reaching out to corporate and for him to let the Store Manager know that I would not return to that store for any other reason. I spend a tremendous amount of money for all three of my dogs there and it s sad that no one cared to satisfy a great customer. Have a good day.

I would give NEGATIVE stars if I could. I've bought Seresto flea collars for my pets from Petsmart for years. Not 2 full weeks ago, I bought a total of 10 Seresto flea collars from the Nicholasville, KY and Lexington, KY locations. I put them on my cats and dog that day and obviously tossed the receipt and packaging because I never expected to have a problem.

A week after getting the collars, my youngest kitten (8mo) had a seizure, another of my cats begins having tremors, and 3 of my other cats begin having horrible diarrhea and vomiting. These collars were the only new things that have been introduced into their lives recently and my vet believes the Seresto collars to be to blame.

Obviously, I took the collars off and wanted to return them ASAP. But neither location would offer me a refund for the $600 I spent on these horrid collars that poisoned almost half my pets. They told me that I needed to have a hard copy of the receipt, or the original packaging, to receive a refund. Although they could have looked at my rewards customer information (as I suggested) to see that I had purchased the collars a week and a half prior, they would only parrot the need for the hard copy of the receipt or the original packaging to receive a refund.

I'm livid. I'm out an extra $500+ from vet bills thanks to these collars I got from those two stores. NEVER again will I shop at a PetSmart in my life, and I will definitely tell all the rest of my friends, family, and acquaintances to never shop there either. No one can trust them to do the right thing and give the appropriate refund when a poisonous product comes from their store and hurts your animals.

I purchased 2 snakes at my local Pet Smart. I ve been there many times since then and always look at the snakes. These people should not be permitted to handle or sell snakes. They are underweight and the enclosures are very small and the constant lighting is too bright with long days of noise and very little privacy. Within a few months there have been 2 Ball Pythons who got sick and one died. The other one is at the vet with the same problem. It is stressed out and refuses food and is sick ! The other snakes are stressed and look like they have grown very little. The last snake I bought had never had a single shed and was there for a year. Once I got him home here the poor little thing was eating and growing and shedding within a month !
The staff knows very little about snakes or other reptiles and amphibians. And they are not supplying food for my snakes on a regular basis. So I have been using Pet Value more often.
My question I asked them earlier after I found out about yet another sick Ball Python is why are they selling snakes in the first place if they are treated this way and getting sick and dying? All they care about is the money and they are not making money on snakes it looks like because the snakes get sick and don t sell. Then who knows what happens to the poor creatures: (
I love my snakes very much and all snakes! These people should not be allowed to handle these precious creatures or sell them ! And I intend to look into this further ! I am going to alert a very large reptile community to these incidents. It was a very upsetting experience yet again last night to see those snakes up there and to hear the awful news about another poor sick snake ! I d rather enjoy my shopping experience and not have to leave the store with tears in my eyes !

WARNING!!! WARNING!! Stay as faraway from Petsmart!! as you can... They KILLED our family pet!! We took her to the Rockaway NJ hospital. They told me I had to renew my pet care plan with them first. So we did, what a mistake. It wasn t until after I paid that the Vet said your pet is going to need x-rays , and a full work up done before we can go any further. I explained to the Vet that I was covered since I just renewed my plan. The heartless Vet goes onto explain that NOTHING IS COVERED!! Pay the $700. or we can t help you!! Then why did I just renew my plan I asked?? She had not one answer for me.

After explaining to her we didn t have a lot of money and since we have been a loyal customer for over the last 10 years would they be able to please just help my Coco. NOPE!!! No effort went into helping us! Just so you know our family pet passed away 2 days later. PETSMART FAILED US!! AND THEY WILL FAIL YOU!!!
And do you believe that Banfield Hospital still expects us to pay the $390.00 for the balance of the plan which we NEVER !!!! had the chance to use???

Please stay far away from this company. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!!! NOT YOUR PETS BEST INTERESTS!!! KILLERS!!! KILLERS!!!! I just had the worst experience at the grooming salon. We went to get our dog's nails cut, which we do in the same store every 6 weeks. They asked us for his rabies certificate. We had just been in on February 13th. The associate had called Banfield (the vet connected to Petsmart). They verified our rabies and we were on our way. This time the info was not in the computer. One associate said since we had been in in February and the certificate would have expired in 2015, we must have a good certificate. The assistant manager called the grooming manager who said we could come back the following day and we could get the nails done than for free but they wouldn't do it today because Banfield was closed. After three associates looking in the computer, the fourth found our file and our certificate. We got the nails cut but were offered no discounts for the 20 minute aggravation we went through!

PetSmart Claims no affiliation with the Save A Life Pet Rescue that sells puppies for $300 each in front of their store in Oviedo Florida, yet promptly after adoption thanks you for that adoption sale and they offer savings into your email, these puppies are sick, the adoption practices use age discrimination and force that litters be separated to no 2 from the same litter go to a home, the adoption agent is rude and tells everyone she lets her dogs fight all the time, there are numerous complaints and even puppies that have died due to the Save A Life Pet Rescue that seems more like a nothing but big profit puppy mill, and they will only operate in cash. These people go everywhere collecting every puppy, from shelters that charge only $50 to adopt, to breeders that for whatever that need to find homes for a large litter, this company should be sued and not allowed to sell puppies at all. This silent partnership between PetSmart and this horrible adoption sale of puppies should be looked into and they should all be arrested for their operation.

Every time you go to Petsmart in Port Charlotte the manager is very rude when their things buy one get one 50% off they never have the second item and when I asked about it he said loudly we don t Give out rain checks. When the item is 19.99 and you could get the second one for half price is a good deal but never could get them. Their grooming is awful. Today I was informed by staff at the Prescott PetSmart that I have to pay for an ear cleaning package due to the length of the dog's nails which I came to have trimmed.
I was further informed that was what was done last time which is BS as I remember the price and what was done.
I refuse to be bullied into paying for non required services and will no longer do business with this corporation.

Did you know that Petsmart groomers now require dogs with special needs like seizures to go through the express way and you are forced to pay additional $15.00?

Been going to petsmart groomers for our dog Jax for over 4 years. Never a problem. But apparently, petsmart updated their policy mid last year. Dogs with specials needs, (EVEN THROUGH THEY BEEN CLEAR BY THEIR BANFIELD PET) must go through the express way every time AND every time you utilize their services, they require you to pay an extra $15.00 per dog.

If a company is FORCING pet owners with special needs dogs to go through the express, they should wave the required express $15.00 fee instead of discriminating dogs. Just saying.

Went to store #2428 went to buy a parakeet for my 9 yr old daughter. Told by worker Tanya "I canno't sell you a anymore Birds do two how many you have bought and brought back. How do you know who I am? "You come here a lot I recognize your face and I don't like it." who said I can't buy any more birds ?Management? Was it Andrea? no comment she Tanya wood no further speak to me. Now Tanya I personally complained about to Andrea about three months ago because she refuse to put on gloves and put her hands in the case to get a bird for me that I intended to purchase.
