PetSmart is a horrible company. They are over priced for a start. Now i can't return my cat food because of the recent return changes, which i was not notified when i purchased the item. This normally would not be a big deal, but my Prince (cat) was hit by a car and don't need the food anymore. They are unwilling to help me with the situation and i was treated very rude by the woman on the phone. I will not recommend them to anyone and will not be returning to any store.

Went in go have both my dogs nails trimmed the 2 girls doing one of my dogs wouldnt stop when she was crying and yipping from bpw they were just bending her legs all over and when my girlfriend and i asked to stop a min they ignored us and just cept going. I then spoke up a d said thats enough let her rest they looked back at me sying only have 2 nails left. They dodnt even let my dog rest or anything another employee told them and they stpped for a few seconds. When i took my dogs the one was shaking really bad and when we got home hid in her kennel for 2 hrs was scared tp death. We never had that problem at other petsmarts ever. Not happy with how this was handled when noone did anything about it. Will not go to any of ur stores anymore and will let others know not to also. They shouldnt manhandle the dogs and should have some kind of sense when a dog is yipping or anything to see why. They had no care about the dog or anything and didnt listen to anyone very poor. Crystal lake illinois will not get my business along with my family.

Went there about a week ago and bought a Ball Python. I was disgusted with the lack of any knowledge these kids have in regards to reptiles. I remember asking when the last time it was fed and they gave me a chart which showed scheduled feedings no specific details just shows 3 weeks of feeding and snake did not eat all times tried. Then I wanted to know what size mice are they being fed and they told me fuzzies. Im telling you right now they are slowly killing thier animals and reptiles. When I brought this snake home It was extremely under weight did my research to find that these snakes that they are currently selling are supposed to be fed regular feeder size mice all I could feel on the poor snake was skin and bone. I fed him a regular size feeder mouse LIVE because it refused dead frozen mice. These people need to understand every snake is different in nature. Some will eat dead and some will eat LIVE or freshly killed. These breeds are picky and I'm sure these snakes refuse alot and these employees do not care. Animal cruelty at it's finest I'm glad I saved this one's life. Called manager to complain, his response is corporate policy states that they can o my feed bare minimum and only what they want not what snake actually wants. Manager told me they were not supposed to sell me the snake because they thought something was wrong with it and was to reason it would not eat. Idiots....

I think this is so wrong. I hate to say this and it is hard to post, but I was just at Pet Smart in Ocala and in the parking lot the lady next to me got out of her truck. She then proceeded to scream bloody murder that the dog was in the front seat. She opened the door took her fist and repeatedly punched the white golden retriever type dog in its head and side. There were about 4 dogs in the car. I started yelling at her and she quickly went inside. I took down her license plate and a video of the car. I went inside to tell petsmart and I saw the lady up by the front. I looked at her in front of everyone and told her to never ever punch a dog again and that it was abuse. The entire store was looking at me. She admitted that she was punching the dog and said, the dog was mauling me. I told her it was a golden retriever and that wasn t the case and that she was mad that it got in the front seat. I left the store and before I called the police I called petsmart and asked if they had any camera footage of the parking lot to show her punching the dog since she was parked up front. The lady at Petsmart told me that the customer was an amazing customer and that they didn t believe me and that she would never ever hit a dog and that she was a DOG BREEDER. The employee said she would in no way release any camera footage because it just isn t true. I told her that as God as my witness I know what I saw and she repeatedly told me she didn t believe me. I called the police and the police officer told me that you can hit a dog like you can a child which I was extremely surprised as she was punching the dog in the head. She said there was nothing she could do. Animal services called me and is going to do a well check and I am filling out paperwork to make record of the situation. They were the only ones to have truly cared. I am so upset the way Pet Smart treated me as one of their customers dogs was abused in their parking lot. I will never ever be shopping there again. I hope you do not either as they condone this abusive behavior. I am at a loss for words that a huge company like this wouldn t even check into this abusive situation or even believe me. Just because you are a good customer and spend money doesn t mean that you can abuse your dogs because I know what I saw! I m so saddened by this and let down. When the dog owner left the store an employee went with her and ended up hugging the abuser at her truck. I thought that was very weird and I m beginning to wonder if it was a relative or friend. Petsmart does NOT care about animal welfare. It's all about numbers to corporate. They handed over one of their $25 sameday adoption cats to a group of guys who very obviously had horrible intentions over the July 4th weekend. I warned the manager of what I had heard and seen, and he didn't do anything to even investigate. He didn't care.They just hand animals over to anyone. In a matter of 10 minutes, anyone can walk out the door with a cat for $25.

I saw the face of that helpless little cat who was relying on them to have a conscious or at the very least attempt to keep them safe. I bawled my eyes out when I saw the manager had done nothing to stop it.

Taking animals from bad situations to put them in worse ones for increased adoption numbers is the opposite of compassion and helping. How can the person who handed that innocent animal to these evil guys even live with themselves?

The Customer was the one who was trying to grab the snake(even though the snake was not his) while the store manager Jeremy Theyer did nothing but watch. I even have video of this. I am just sick & tired of the Fayetteville PetSmart (#0281). Every time, not sometime, not once in a while, every time I go there they r ALWAYS out of some of what I need and when I ask if they might have it n the back they never go check they just say no, they don't have it. Their isles r not labeled correctly and the shelves r ALWAYS a mess. I have had 2 stand n line more than once with at least 9 people n line and they only have 1 register opened, with the corporations high prices u would think they would hire more people. When needing assistance I always have 2 hunt someone down, someone who does not have a good understanding of products and/or where they can b located. I'm sick of this PetSmart, the reason I go there is because I shop n the Pavillon 1-2 times a week and it's convenient, well, no more!

I purchased $40.00 worth of Grain Free dog food yesterday. Wake up and read the report. Uhg dog food in trash need grain diet. Go to store purchase $15.00 small bag grain diet. Not sure picky dog will like it. Ask manager why no info anywhere in store? She said report has been out for a while and everyone knows. 78 yr old lady next to me stops purchase of grain free and gets grain. We are not on social media. Well that's 2 of us that don't know.

U have NO LIABILITY posting FDA FACTS! On the door away from the products. 3 isles of grain free and 1 isles of grain is a great indicator your customers want the best for there animals. We would not have switched initially to grain free and spent a little extra.

I love my Grain Free Vendor and hope they will make a grain version but until then have decided 2 take my chances with a grain products that has had previously been recalled.

I purchased a bird there and it was only two weeks and the bird died. The virus cause the city the shut down and I couldn't take the bird back right away. The manager indicated that I couldn't exchange the for bird for another one because it was outside of the 14 day expiration. I would have thought because of the Country being on a mandate "STAY AT HOME" there would have been some MERCY!!!! will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!!!

I work with a non profit organization (luv-a-pet) and we have our animals there and been shopping there for years. Today in particular I had to go there because I brought my daughter a fish tank and the filter stopped working. I went in there and ask for a manager and it was Liz. Liz knows me and my family so I was extremely happy it was her working. Liz always goes way beyond to help me out there. She is knowledgeable in almost every product there and is always helpful. She is the reason why we keep coming back there. Also the young lady who works in the fish department (I do not remember her name but she was working there this morning as well 1/19/2019) always takes the time out to talk to my kids about fish and explains the difference between them. Keep up the great work there in Royal Palm Beach, FL location!

I have an elderly dog 16 years old and blind. When I called to make an appointment I shared this with the young lady answering the phone. I made a 10 AM appointment and remained since I live 30 miles away. I watched a young man begin service for my dog. Then every time there was a walk in he took her put her back in the back somewhere and took the walk-in. When I went in and inquired about that I was told that walk are taken as they come. I was also told that the only way I could avoid this was to schedule an express appointment and she would be cared for straight through. I was not made aware of this when I called. To my mind a customer that takes the time to make an appointment Should be taken before someone who just walks in the door. Very disappointed with the service

I purchased a cinnamon green cheek conure from the Ocean NJ store. After I took the bird home and went through the paperwork, the veterinarian certificate and vaccinations records were missing. Additionally, the papers stated it was a yellow sider green cheek conure. They refused to give me the veterinarian certification stating the bird was disease free and corporate has refused to contact me. im assuming they like customers to file law suits in order to receive the appropriate documentation.

My English Bulldog has an obsession with frisbees. Petsmart frisbees were dog safe (they didn't crack when chewed on) so I'd buy my dog 30 plus frisbees a month. She got one to two frisbees a day. We did this for years. Well Petsmart changed their frisbees. They went to cheap plastic that easily cracks. They'd cut her mouth open, and break apart, becoming a choking hazzard. Blood was everywhere when I gave her the first frisbee that was like this. I took the frisbees back to Petsmart and they said that's all they had now; the cheap plastic ones. So I contacted their corporate office and let them know what had happened that their new frisbees were a choking hazzard. I got back a generic message that basically said they didn't care, and they were keeping the frisbees as they were. This is supposed to be a company that cares about pets yet they're selling an item that's obviously dangerous for pets. If they'll cut corners with frisbees what else will they cut corners with? I'll NEVER shop at Petsmart again!!

I was in Daytona Beach with my boyfriend looking for a bearded dragon. It was our first time in a Pet Smart, and our last. They had one, it was a beautiful shade of yellow and red. I knew it was considered a "fancy" and would cost me more than I wanted to spend, but I wanted him. My boyfriend wanted 2 of their geckos. Between the 3 critters we're looking at $100. I also was going to get a heat lamp with bulbs $70, a carpet for $24, a house away for $16, a water food dish combo for $10...are tou doing the math. We were in the store for 30 minutes. 10 of which was walking around. The other 20 waiting for help, we both even went to the cashier and asked for someone to help us. A dozen employees walking around and not one assisted us. $210 your store lost out on a $210 transaction, possibly more because I wanted a new tank, one that opened out to me not from the top. We have happily taken out business back to Petco, where we are assisted, treated well, and thanked for our business. You're employees are incompetent morons and need retrained in customer service.

Me and my sister bought a bearded dragon from petsmart, only to take them home for one day and see what we saw was blood in the stool. I took a stool sample in to my vet and learned they had pin worms, not digesting food and there was something else wrong with them. I exposed my dragons, my dog and our selves to something that is extremely contagious. They refunded my money for the poop sample test but stated there was nothing they could do about my pets. Stated that they ALL need there own cages. Really? You sold them to us with at least 3-4 in cages together. My sister wanted hers back after they saw their vet but I did not. We went to go pick it up and they said they needed proof of proper housing for it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Do you do that to ever person that purchases one? No cause you didn't when you orginally sold it to us. They acted as if WE did something wrong. We had them one day. You sold it to us that way and tried to blame use for YOUR mistake.
Prior I took my German shepherd to the other petsmart for a bath. She came back with a chunk taken out of her nose that is now a permanent mark. I will NEVER EVER go back and I hope others see this post and realize they dont care o e bit about animals or customers, only out to make a buck.

HORRIBLE experience. Just spent over $300 to board my dog for a week. My father in-law picked my dog up and was told that his bed was being washed and to come back. I went back the next day to find out that the bed was LOST!! How do you lose a bed???? When I asked to speak with the manager, a boy in his mid 20's came to speak to me and was COMPLETELY unprofessional - smirking and smiling at me while basically telling me it wasn't their problem. How do you lose a bed????

After reading this, I can see it's useless to contact Corporate, and that they are as unresponsive as the stores themselves. I brought my dog to the PetSmart in Bourne, MA today, a very warm, humid day, probably 75-80 degrees outside. I noticed that it was very warm in the store. I asked an employee if the A/C was broken, and she just said it's always cooler in the back then it is out in front. I assumed she meant the warehouse part of the store. Nevertheless, the A/C was either not turned on or it was set to a high temp. The employees seemed uncomfortable, and it would be disastrous for the animals, especially if they were in the back, where they get their baths. The A/C should go on automatically, for the comfort of the employees and the pets. I sure hope this isn't their policy, and would love to hear from other stores if they had the same experience.

I took my puppy to the Doggy Hotel in Cotswold, NC. Where I was told he would be allowed to play with the other dogs. And I ordered him a grooming (bath, & nail trim). He was fed adult dog food which caused him to become very ill and sick being that he is only 6months.
When I picked him up the woman who serviced me rushed me out and never told me my puppy was sick; I specifically asked her how was he and she said fine. My puppy fur was dusty and dirty, letting me know he did not get a bath. After bringing him home and seeing him vomit and diarrhea for two days I called and spoke to a manager NICK, who told me just take him to a vet! There was no empathy and he admitted my puppy should have never been fed adult food.
THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE FOR MY PUPPY AS WELL AS MY ENTIRE FAMILY! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LEAVING YOUR ANIMALS AT THIS LOCATION AS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEM!!

She said I had to wait for a week before getting a appointment. She couldn t find my account with my number and I ask who was the manager on floor and she said hold on . Then some guy got on the phone and I had no idea that she was giving the call to someone else. Sam the manager was the one who got on the phone . At first he sounded rude and said how can I help you ? He found my account and there was a opening for Saturday. The groomer Monica had lied about no appointment available. I was upset because how I was treated . I felt Monica didn t want to work .just imagine how many more customers she lied to about being booked . I couldn't find anymore of something in shelf asked one of your sales associates who went to mgr Tammy she approached no smile very stern and said she had many boxes in back I told her if it's too much trouble she didn't have to look. She said she would but probably wouldn't find it. She came back out went right passed me I had to ask her. She just is not a typical pet smart employee they r usually very friendly and helpful. Store was not busy 4:30 pm. Probably never will step into this petsmart again.

On Friday, March 18, I took my dog, Max, to be groomed at the Petsmart, Round Rock, Texas. We have been taking him there since we adopted him in 2011. Our regular groomer moved to a different city but, turned our file over to another groomer. We made an appointment, took Max in and the groomer refused to work on Max, citing "I groomed Max once in the past and you weren't please so, I'm not comfortable working on him.". I was stunned. I asked her to get one of the other girls to groom Max and she said that's "not the way we do things". At that point, I asked to speak to their manager. She came in from the store and I asked her name. She REFUSED to give me her name! She also refused to help in any way, saying she couldn't do anything about the situation. I left there, very, very upset and went directly to PETCO, where we were treated with respect and with smiles. You have lost another good customer. We bought all our pet products from Petsmart but, no more. HELLO PETCO!! In my opinion, the manager, as well as the groomer, needs to be immediately fired for their actions. You require us to click a star but, please know that they do not even deserve the one star!!! We will be telling all our friend, acquaintances and co-workers NOT us use the Petsmart grooming!!! They explained that different breeds, different services/packages affect the price Again, they saw the dogs and knew what I wanted and quoted me $51 EACH!

I've been going to the PetSmart in Sacramento, CA on Watt Ave for years and have always thought the employees there were top notch and friendly.

Recently, I have been taking our puppy KC to all of the training classes (beginning, Intermediate, and advanced) and now we are starting the therapy training class. Edna Wong has been the instructor for all of them and she is fantastic!! I cannot say enough about her and how great she is with every dog, regardless of their disposition or challenges. She is not only a knowledgable dog trainer, but gentle, kind, patient, and clearly loves dogs and her job. She will also take time out of her day before or after class to do individual training if you are unable to make one of the classes. I highly recommend Edna to anyone who wants to have a great experience teaching their dog at any level of training. Thank you Edna and thank you PetSmart!

been in the past at the grooming salon, Was told directives of dogs can't leave until they dry when air dried, usually visit is an hour. Today, 8-5-2016,
I took my husky for a bath, wanted only a wash and ears cleaned.
I initialed areas on the waiver about shots, flea treatment, shaving etc..
I did not want to pre sign for a service that was not conducted yet. Took 15 minutes with the Manager and groomer before my husky was taken back. Time is now 4:15. Appointment was at 4, with me walking in 5 minutes early. At 4:48 a groomer called that he was ready to go. Hmmm, 20 minutes, ? In the past it would be always an hour, and a dog would not be released until it was dryer. I picked up my dog and he was still wet with water in my hands when I petted him . I asked if they could dry him off with a towel and they stated they did not have towels, I stated sure you do, both stood their stupidly looking at me. I stated again, how about a dirty towel to get the water off at least. Both stood looking at me. Then one suggested paper towels. Sure I said, he's to wet to put in the car. No sign of any brushing was done for on a wet dog the brush tracks would be shown. I stated that I hope I wasn't given a lack luster service since I did not agree with signing pre for a services not done yet. It was not a 42 dollar grooming session and due to him being a husky more cost for a bath when in the past, it was $11 to $20 dollar range and that was with a bath, feet trimmed, ears cleaned.
Was not to pleased with the service, also he just smells like a wet dog. not shampoo or conditioner smell, nor was that put on his performance page of when a groomer fills it out after bath. Nor did the groomer sign her name, My groomer had been doing and learning the job for 5 months only. When I made the appointment, I asked for an experienced groomer. When checking out, another groomer(I am assuming with more years under her belt) finished the transaction, and every question I asked for validity of the wash , was regurgitated answers with no real answers.

Bought Guinea pig from this company to find out that it's terminally ill within a week and has lice along with cancer. All because you guys can't be competent enough to regularly check your animals you should be wealthy enough to have a vet check them before you even sell them shows that your company is incompetent. I better get a refund for the vet emergency and to put him to sleep because he could no longer breath due to cancer. I am so unhappy with this!
