I purchased my valentine's buddy here in January. Went back for food and snacks for my little man. Very reasonable pricing on food, treats.

Helpful and friendly staff, very knowledgeable. The girls enjoyed playing with the dogs in their little space they provide. Very pricey for dogs, but they give you a lifetime puppy warrantee.

Petland Cicero has the most caring staff. They love the animals and treat the customers with great respect. My family went to Petland to look at a puppy and we received such great care from all but especially Shalini and Morgan. They were so intentionally kind! It was evident that they wanted to ensure a perfect fit for all. They not only knew the breeds well but they also knew the personalities of the pups in their care. They were patient and gracious with us. Shalini went above and beyond with the financing options when a decision was made. Our daughter has been praying for years for a puppy and thanks to Shalini and Morgan, that was made possible. Our new pup Spencer is happy in our home and fits great with our lifestyle. He is healthy and was clearly well taken care of.

We bought our Yorkie there two years ago. He had a kennel cough that after we were told vet corrected problem and could be adopted. Many trips to our local vet to clear up his cough. Few months ago he developed diarrhea,more trips to vets. Now he's at Cornell and we were told his health issues were inherated from his parents. More money spent. If I could give a zero rating to this place I would. Buyer beware!! Your better off not wasting your money there and go rescue a dog that needs a loving home. Our Fred will be put to rest soon. We can't bare watching him struggle to survive.

Helping Hounds refused to let me adopt a puppy because my cat does not visit the vet. Sooo I found Petland online with all their cute puppies and when we went there, I found my Gwendolyn Golden Retriever. There were women there looking at puppies that were complaining about them and Petland, women are so trying, I'm sorry I'm one, Gwenny cost a lot, but her crate and 50 lbs of food and dishes and toys and a very helpful puppy book came with her. No kennel cough, no pink eye, she is a beautiful healthy dog. You do not have to take your dog to the vet they recommend, you can choose. Stack in Fayetteville has been wonderful. Helping Hounds and Dewitt Animal Hospital, dog poop on you. I have a beautiful girl who will be 3 years old this year!!! We enjoy her soooooo much!!

I bought my fishtank and fish from there the fish are all doing well and multiplying like crazy

What I don't like about store is that the birds, hamsters, ferrets are in an open area which allows children, adults to handle these little animals. Nothing like being poked ,dropped, grabbed, how stressful for them. They all should be in a closed area or enclosure.

NEVER finance a dog with them. I had gone and looked at two dogs, I picked one dog. Previously when I got my other dog, they had charged my account once everything was all set up and did it infront of me. They failed to tell me the dog had one testicle , once they did I changed my mind. Turns out they had charged the account already without telling me as I was waiting for them to get the paperwork together since they hadn t even shown me any of his medical paperwork yet. I picked out a different dog because I was not comfortable with the one testicle situation. So instead of crediting back the first dog then charging the second they charged BOTH then credited one back. Which completely messed up billing, doubling my monthly payment. Causing me to need to write a dispute in writing which can take up to 90 days but at the end of the 90 days I owe all that money at once because it all still has to be paid by the end of the 48 months regardless of the delay their screw up caused. Just stay away.

We drove up to see a mini english bulldog, fell in love and paid the exoribitive price of $6600, for him. We were told AKC breed. Come to find out mini english are not an AKC breed, but we could register him for $500. Also we took him to our vet the very next day, she noticed he had had hernia surgury. Never told us. They did tell us where he came from, A breeder in Ohio..showed us pics of his parents..lots of Amish puppy mills out there. Looking further into his particular breed, from reputible breeders all over the country..actual AKC breeders..pups go for 1800(discounted because of hernia) to 3000. Petland stance is lifetime warranty meaning when dog passes you can get another one for free in your price range. You have to buy his food and supplements frequently though to keep this bargain. He is a very sweet dog, and healthy. Do your research 1st. Read entire contract. Ask lots and lots of questions. We are going to get him DNA tested and present our stuff to an attorney.

Recently took home my third dog from Petland and had a wonderful experience. They always have happy healthy babies and knowledgeable employees. The fish department has a fantastic variety and always has clean tanks and of course very educated employees. Overall always have a great experience here!!

Got my great dane from here only because he was dying and was in need of rescue I realize I paid the bug monster but if i didn't he would have died they buy from backyard breeders and puppy mills

Sold me a sick snake and didnt care when i said something wasted my money on a snake they knew was gonna die dirty store with incompetent employees

They have a decent selection of all sorts of pet supplies (including being one of the only pet stores around that sells pinhead crickets) but the service is often incredibly slow. At least they have puppies to look at while you wait.

Very expensive here for adoptions. Go to humane society or s.p.c.a . There pet items are ok not to pricy got good veriety of stuff to.

They always have exactly what were looking for. Our puppy loves his new toys from here. Employees are always asking if you need any help. The store is always clean.

Well can honestly say I am never going back again. Asked to play with a dog. Lady said she would be right out to check if the dog could. Never came back to us. We waited 45 minutes. Then asked another employee that employee said she would check. Then a lady who just called asked to play with the same dog. We have been waiting there for 45 minutes but somehow the woman who called at most 20 minutes ago gets to play with him because they have an 'appointment'. Bad customer service. We left feeling like crap. :/

Although the store is clean and well decorated, with a great selection of fish, puppies and smaller pets the dogs reminded me instantly of puppy mills having owned puppy mill rescue breeders. I asked and they said it was a regulated breeder in Ohio so I suppose thats decent. But anyways, looking at both thier saltwater and freshwater tanks, they had a great selection but not in the greatest shape. The platy fish tanks in particular were full of fin rot/ich and injuries with rotting fungi covered fish floating around. I wouldnt buy fish from here for sake of the ich alone, but it just wasnt the best. Totes fun petting the ferrets and guinea pigs tho.

Walking in the store REAKED! Way more than your usually pet store smell. It was HORRIBLE! Not only did most the dogs have diahrea they were left to step in their own poo. As if them selling puppy mill puppies wasn't bad enough!

I hate they buy from puppy mills, but they are very friendly and the people in the fish dept know their stuff.

Petland is a pretty awesome place that you can go to and spend time with animals!

Awful place bought a pomeranian grew to 40 lbs ended up to be a pomeranian mix I was lied to about the breed.

OVERPRICED dogs, don't even allowed to purchase the itself and must be purchased as a bundle for $4k+.

Would not recommend this place went to look at dogs for 1 they are 5,000 for a dog. 2, staff was rude I asked to see two puppies so I could decide which I wanted and was told I could only see one and that s it and said so I play with one and don t like it then I m out of luck and have to buy a dog I ve never played with, their response if we did this we would be taking puppies out every two seconds isn t that your job for people looking for a dog? Wanted to see one was put in a spot to see the dog the staff member walked away and never came back to let me see the dog!!

Fish part is ok, screw the over priced puppy mill high pressure sales a holes.

Staff too busy conversing with each other to pay attention to customers and their animals the customers can interact with hands on.

Extremely greedy salespeople run this place. Each dog is for sale for $4000 minimum.

Very disappointed. Bought an animal and within the month my pet is currently in the vet for several days over night due to a virus that developed into pneumonia. When I called for information, I was on hold for nearly 30 minutes waiting to find out any information that may help, then was told it was probably sick from me or other humans it interacted with (although he had very limited contact with people and all the sanitary per cautions were in order). Currently waiting to see if he makes it a few thousand dollars later.

Sam is amazing. Well we didn't buy an animal from here we were very close. The animal was sick and my wife and I decided not to get it. We were issued a full refund of our deposit. While the communication about the animal from employees other than Sam was not adequate. Sam makes up for it.

The conditions the puppies are kept in are horrifying. They are clearly not getting the exercise, enrichment, and socialization they require. Babies that small, if happy and healthy, would not be sleeping all day. Any dog, regardless of age, should not be in constant contact with the kind of metal grating floor Petland uses, or without a soft and comforting blanket or pillow to sleep on.

I left depressed and horrified. Even kill shelters don't keep their dogs in such terrible conditions.

If it was possible to post with less than one star I would.

I'm new to the area and its the best presented and stocked tropical fish store I have found. I'm not to excited that they sell puppies, but I will not judge till I do some research and find out where they come from and how they live. It is a chain, but this location is locally owned and operated.

Most expensive dog place I've ever herd of, 6 grand for a dog with no papers and a cough!!! Places like this need to be shut down, and as for their "employees" they out right lie to your face from.the second you walk in the door.

One of my favorite places to buy saltwater fish, always running different promos and they train their staff well in the fish department. I recently purchased a puppy from them and he is amazing and he came with so much stuff, we love our new puppy.

If you re looking for a new puppy please go see David! He is super intelligent and helped me find my perfect golden retriever yesterday. He couldn t be a better fit for my home. I went to the store intending just to play with some puppies (which is the best thing about the store). David answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I understood the entire process and helped me make my decision to take home another puppy. My heart and my home are filled now. I will definitely recommend this store and these employees to anyone looking for a furry friend. David, you rock!

So I made the mistake of getting our English Bulldog from this store. The girl told us the price of the dog and we began this "process" to "buy" her.. She was, on paper about 3000. This chick went as far as to doodle math for our monthly payment and was so nice that my girlfriend liked her.. I don't like/trust anybody but try to be nice for my girl and daughter.. Suddenly I get a first bill and apparently the payments she doodles on the page ($150) was the minimum payment but to avoid an insane amount of interest you would have to pay twice that a month ($300) or at minimum payments a month the dog would cost over $5000 close to $6000 not $3000 like written on the paper. I was sure in the fine print it maybe said something about it we missed but my girl read through it and it's basically what the girl says. But the bill and paperwork we received in the mail is completely different. We were told zero interest... ZERO INTEREST. Such a shame they had to make our first purchase into owning an English bulldog full of deception.

We have many monthly payments as a family who owns our home we can't pay double what she said we would pay. They lied. And if i dont pay my credit takes a hit. Also when I called I got the feeling the manager at petland didn't wanna hear about her employee lying to us and said it was all our opinion.. even though we have the paperwork where the girl wrote $150 a month with no interest. Also she was sick at the store... live you learn... this place has no shame. We called back to tell the manager we plan to involve an attorney and the girl who sold us the dog picked up. She hung up on me when she found out it was us... absolutely disgusting store.

Apparently it's a crime to deceive people like this and we're talking to a lawyer because this is supposed to be unacceptable.

I called pet land early in the day to see if there are any playtime s available and the person who answered gave me two different time frames to play. I called because I have a car drive. I get to Petland and asked to play with one of the puppies and she says play time is over or there is no one to play with and she told me the person I spoke on the phone with from the fish department. I asked why wouldn t she transfer me over to the dog department or whatever it s called and she was basically like I don t know. This is the second time I ve tried to play with one of the puppies and it is a far drive for me. No happy with this place or the workers.

Because of Covid-19 you need to make an appointment to meet puppies before adoption. The store was very clean, all the puppy kennels were clean and I saw plenty of food water and toys in all the live animal cages. The staff appeared knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They don't tell you the prices on the puppies until you play with them so "you don't choose one based on the price" but in reality I believe that it's so you fall in love and will pay for the little cutie. My friend was looking at a bull puggle and he was close to $8000. That's more than she paid for her van! They let her know that they finance the pups, but it just seems crazy to make payments on a dog.
For your pet care needs I say go shopping. If a puppy is what your looking for your better off adopting, rescuing, or finding a reputable breeder.

Prices are fair. Very knowledgeable employees who are readily available to help you. Fun and professional environment. Visit location at least once a week. Product variety could use some work.

Nice clean store with a variety of pets and supplies. I would have given it a 5 except for the puppies. I think instead of selling puppy mill dogs, they should have shelter animals for adoption.

Purchased a puggle here. Great dog, lots of energy. High prices and hard to follow their guidelines for warranties/guarantees.

We bought a hamster 2 months ago for my daughter. We spent so much money on this hamster from his wonderful cage to all his food and toys just to have him die 2 months later. We did everything and bought everything they told us to. I called Petland that morning that he past and I told them what was going on with him and they said "O he is fine, its sounds like he just needs more ball time". I told them how hes belly seemed to be bloated and that he didn't seem himself. They told me he was fine and that I shouldn't worry. Well needless to say that night when we went in there to get him out to play he had passed away. I now have a daughter that is so heartbroken that she did not sleep at all last night. I am not really sure what he passed from but I think that they should not have these pets out so that everyone can touch them as I think they get sick from the start.

Outrageous prices.. 7000 plus for a puppy. When I asked about the expensive pricing, we were told to buy elsewhere if we didn t like it...Very rude staff.. Don t recommend.

Employees seem very willing to lead in misinformation to make their sales. I was told an Australian Shepherd would reach a max weight of about 20 lbs (important because i live in an apartment) when they can actually reach up to 70 lbs.

My wife and I purchased a f1 mini golden doodle, but turned out to be just a golden retriever. Since we cant get a return call from pet land we have now started legal proceedings against them.

Update- they have falsified documents and now told us they will not be issuing us any form of refund we now have DNA testing completed to prove they are a fake establishment.

Please to all do not purshase from these fake dishonest people!

Loved the array of fish they had for sale. I saw fish that aren t in all the other pet stores. It was sad seeing the puppies in the display cases, but my hope is they get adopted quick.

All the dogs are sick they end up dieing in about 2 to 3 years do not buy a dog from here unless you want heart ack

I would never recommend this place ever. I bought a baby bun from them had her three weeks and she just died yesterday morning out of nowhere. Words can t describe the pain I feel. Not to mention I now have to pay them back 300$ on my credit card there for a bunny I bought from them that died.

I love petland. Myself and Kelly are there about once a week looking at the puppies. The store itself is spotless very clean for a pet store and the employees are very helpful and courteous and friendly. You can hold a play with the puppies but that just makes you want one, trust me. The only thing is they are a little pricey but I guess you get what you pay for, the puppies are all up to date on shots and ready to go to their forever home. If you have the money buy a dog from petland you will not be disappointed. 5 stars all day long.
