Pleasant place to stay, nice staff, ok breakfasts,...
Pleasant place to stay, nice staff, ok breakfasts, comfy bets but no parking spaces at hotel, they are down the street.

It was amazing. Everything was clean, people were friendly and helpful. I will be returning
Friendly and well priced. Charming courtyard off our room
Nice rooms. Beautiful lobby and facade. Kind of a strange location, but overall pretty good!
Good room, great locations. Parking sucks. Staff very nice.
We booked through bringfido because it said there was no pet fee. Turns out there is a $35 non refundable pet fee, but bringfido was great and is giving us a full refund for that amount.
Because we got a great deal on the room I am giving it a 2 star
We stayed in the family suite, which is supposed to be meant for 4 people. The King size bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed was one of the worst I've ever slept on. You could feel every spring in it and there was a huge indent in the centre of the mattress so you rolled into the centre. If you were only using this room for 2 people to sleep - problem solved.
The room is heated by a fire place which is nice, but the thermostat was broken, so the fireplace doesn't turn off when the room warms up, so multiple times through the night we had to get up to turn it off/on.
The hotel was clean but extremely dated, I assume they do ok though being downtown that they haven't worried about updating decor.
**Edited rating based on hotel response**
No on site parking , Bar located across street (loud) , Air conditioning system very noisy , Jet tub jets dirty , Very few seats in the breakfast area , Breakfast selections weren't very good. What more can I say ? Don't waste your money on this place !
First time in Peterborough. We were happy with our stay
Very well located in downtown Peterborough, almost could not be in a better place. Staff was polite, room was ready early. Only two issues: there was an item left in the room from a previous guest that we needed removed and the air conditioner was very cold and wasn't easily controlled. All together, though, a good place to stay.
I won t recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality.
Paid $159 + taxas as a group discount rate
This hotel is very depressing, My 12 year old son said as we entered the hotel and again inside the room.
The owners are just milking this property having single staff member, they could be family members, to handle every thing from front desk, room service, making sure the breakfast items are ready, collecting garbage... etc.
A relaxing place after a long journey. Because of cronavirus no breakfast but the rest of hotel services are available and personnels are kind and professional.
Customer service is not the best nor is there room service and their maidens any good either they straight up lied about condition we left the room in when we checked out the courtyard yard rooms on the other hand are very beautiful as they have a huge jacuzzi bath tub and an enclosed outside section you can enjoy the comfort of having a smoke or just get some fresh air all other rooms I give a 3 star courtyard is a full 5ive ...
Stayed here last weekend and had a great time. Staff was very helpful, room was big and comfortable, walking to most bars in the area. We'll be back again!!
A bit out dated but friendly staff. Great location for downtown, only downside is parking is around the corner.
Came here after a couple year to see some family, the service is great as always, the hotel has a nice "homey" type feel to it and they give 15% off to lots of the restaurants nearby. Definitely coming back again when I visit Peterborough
The hotel is in a convenient location for walking through the down town. It is close to everything you could need for your stay even the bars at night.
Service was fast and good. Clean and so close to every restaurents and clubs and bars. I would only recommend Peterborough inn hotel to stay. And especially the front desk staff was so polite and co-operative. Especially tye brown girl.
Excellent staff. Great location. Great value. Great vibe. Clean. Friendly, inviting and cooler than other places that cost more.we will come
back again.
For the rate the room was just okay. Location is right downtown and parking is a block away (but free). Staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic Peterborough Inn hotel with tons of personality.First of all really great location. Room was cute, with tall windows overlooking the street.highly recommended for anyone! Thanks we will come back again.
Standard downtown hotel in Peterborough, dated interior and average
The hotel and accommodations were lovely, and in a very great location downtown. Wifi signal was strong too, that was a plus. But the man at the front desk was insisting that the room was not paid for yet, even though it had been prepaid. It was a bit frustrating to have to argue in order to not be double charged. Other than that, it was a great stay!
This place accepted a booking of 12 rooms and a deposit of $1000 for my son s upcoming wedding then when my future daughter in law called they told her they had released and given their rooms away as she had not called them by some fictitious date?!? Seriously... these rooms were booked in April and deposit given in good faith.. we have spoken to them at least 5 times since...no phone call email OR RETURN of DEPOSIT until we contacted them. No rooms available now for entire wedding party.. would NEVER recommend this place
Further to owner's comments below... a phone call or even an email would have been nice!!! you had no problem contacting us when asking for the two deposits! then not even to refund us until we contacted you a week later.... totally unacceptable business practice no matter how you want to slice it. Don't book anything important at this venue!!!!!
A very unique and well located hotel. The King signature suite has many amenities, if dated do the job. Service has been friendly and helpful. In all, staying at this hotel has been more beneficial and hasn't hindered our vacation in the slightest.
Rooms are vintage the Whirlpool tub, while not exactly what I had in mind, did an amazing job at helping me unwind and I now feel fantastic. Plus the fireplace in the room is a nice touch. That said, it's by no means 5 star, we found blood stains on the fireplace, it will certainly get the job done amicably and with free breakfast to boot!
Decent rooms but the window I lead to a barren hallways. Which begs the question, when has the room last been aired out? Other than that, friendly staff and decent breakfast.
Rooms are dark and dingy. It is however right downtown so if your bar hopping with buddies it's a great location to set up at.
Rooms are clean, carpeted and ours had a fireplace. Great when the temp drops below -14. Breakfast offeringng was cereal, variety of breads and bagels, apples, bananas, coffee, teas and orange juice.
Parking is a block away. Staff friendly and very helpful.
So clean cozy and comfortable. Loved the fireplace.
Lov this place! Centrally located downtown. Close to everything worth visiting and walking distance to the bus depot.
Out dated rooms. Parking is terrible. The door to the adjoining room wasn't locked and we had visitors at 4am. Asked them to lock it 4 times. Had to get them to fix the bed frame as there was metal bars hanging out that someone got hurt on. Breakfast was terrible. The only hot thing was toast or toasted begal. The cream cheese had been sitting out and was warm. This was the most expensive hotel we've stayed at for a tournament with the poorest amenities
Its unfortunate that I got a caddy response to my review from the hotel. It was my opinion and my experience that weekend. If you dont want bad reviews then make sure you do the job right the first time. Will not be staying here ever again! I would like to leave no stars for this but Apparently I have to leave at least one.
Didn't get bed that was offered on hotwire. No phone call or discount offered
Quite and, amazing vibe with clean rooms. We loved the classic interior look of the hotel!
Clean but needs abut of updating. About a 6 minute walk from the marina and close to downtown restaurants. Make sure you ask for a room that doesn't face onto the road or you won't get any sleep.
Great value for money. Comfortable room & plenty of selection for a self-serve breakfast.
Love this hotel!! Massive room with gorgeous views for an incredible price! Tim was wonderful at the front desk checking us in. Efficient, helpful and friendly :)
Apart from allowing us to store our gear prior to check in time. (Thank-you) the fireplace didn't work and the repair guy was the check-in guy and a huge reason to book this room was the romantic fireplace and bath for our anniversary. Paid $200 for something not worth it. Won't be back.
This Peterborough Inn hotel was great! Staff are absolutely wonderful and good too (first come first serve) rooms were very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Excellent service with nice size rooms and centrally located!!
Great clean roomy place to stay. Great for the money. Family orientated. I stay here every time I'm in town never a bad experience. Highly recommend
Peterborough Inn is our go to Hotel. We like supporting local businesses. Dinner at Kettledrum was great as well. The hotel provides 15 percent off diners card which is a bonus. We will be back
We enjoyed our stay at Peterborough Inn. We love the history behind the building and the vintage feel. Staff are extremely friendly. We will be back
Recently stayed at this Hotel. Although Peterborough is not a huge tourist town the hotel was quite nice. The hotel is roughly around 50 years old. Staff treated us great and were very accommodating. I had a problem with the Tv and they fixed the issue right away. Its definitely a quite hotel and very clean! Some issues l did have was they don't have air conditioning BUT they did have a free standing air conditioner in each room but unfortunately was quite loud but you do get use to it. When it comes to parking you have to park around the corner from the hotel in a parking garage but it is free which wasn't really an issue. Another couple of issues they dont have continental breakfast or water in your refrigerator in your room. Which l think every hotel should have when it comes to water in your room. Something that was nice many restaurants are in the area and they give you a list of restaurants you can go to and get 15% off which is nice, especially if you're in a large group or family. One restaurant not to go to if its on the list is Mcthirstys pint! Food is absolutely horrible and the staff are very rude and treated us very badly. I do recommend this hotel if you're staying in Peterborough.
This is my second time staying at the Peterborough Inn hotel. Great location, friendly staff, and the room is very nice and cozy.
Jess was excellent. She was great in her customer service and helped our students with all their needs. Jess was very knowledgeable of the area and accommodated our requests. If we are ever back in the area we will come to the Peterborough Inn.
Great small hotel near restaurants and the downtown.
Nice place for a get away during Covid. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. The suite we had was huge with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub and we'll worth the small upcharge. Try Whistle Stop next door for over 100 different poutines. Avoid the El Camino Mexican place as the rowdy late night drunks were not wearing masks and neither were the staff.
Hotel wasn t the most luxurious and we did have problems, our toilet broke and flooded our bathroom almost immediately to arriving. But the desk attendant, Adam I beleive, made it all bare able. He was not only extremely kind and out going to with making us feel at home but he also took quick action to have our toilet repaired and accommodate us in the meantime. It was always a pleasant interaction when we got to see Adam. On the first night of our stay, he generously helped us with bussing and exchanged our bills for bus change as we aren t city folk and don t frequent the bus all too often, Lol. If we could give Adam 5 stars we would, as he is, in our eyes, the saving grace of that hotel. Lastly, the convenience of a 30 second walk to multiple popular bars and clubs was ideal for our group of drunk lads.
Great Prices!
Convenient location!
This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. I stayed there on my wedding night, and the morning after I was cleaning up our room and found an empty, molding beer bottle under the bed skirt. When we were checking out I brought it to the receptionist attention and she didn't make much of it. We paid cash for the room, and my credit card was still charged. When I realized this I called the hotel and asked for them to reverse the charge on my card - they told me they had no proof that I had paid cash... I had a cash receipt!!!! It took me two months to have my credit card reimbursed.
When I brought up the moldy beer bottle under the bed skirt to the manager she didn't seem to think much of it - didn't offer me a discount on my stay or offer me a discount to return.
The customer service and cleanliness of this hotel is unacceptable. The management team (or lack of) does not run an effective business.
The hotel decor is nice, it's a beautiful building but is in need of professional managers.
Save yourself a headache and go to a different hotel in Peterborough.
Came here on a business trip. Love how this hotel is centrally located with restaurants and bars all within walking distance
Room was comfortable, great pricing for being right downtown. Night staff was beyond accommodating, with top notch hospitality. Will be going again!
I strongly suggest you try their romantic package. They set the mood for you with champaign and flowers. Couples should not miss that!
This Peterborough Inn & Suites hotel was absolutely amazing we stayed just one night. Check in was smooth and easy the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was centrally located and very clean! If we're ever in that area again we will most definitely stay in this hotel again thank you very much.
This hotel provided a terrible experience from May 3-5, 2015. Thick film of dirt on the bathroom counters, clumps of hair on the bathroom floors, bottle caps in the rooms. Ended up sleeping on the bed covers with clothes on. One person in our party moved to the Holiday Inn.
This hotel was great when I stayed there a few years ago. There must be new management or something because the quality/service have gone out the window.
Excellent service from the front desk! Raman was a great concierge and was weary helpful with all of the amenities needed for my trip to peterborough! Will definitely be back!
family room large and clean, staff very friendly and helpful, conveniently located and included breakfast.
An average 3 star hotel that is dated albeit clean. For those seeking a downtown stay this place is reasonable. We were disappointed by the fitness room and very disappointed at the poor matress and breakfast (which mostly consisted of toast, oatmeal, and cerial). Moreover, there is no parking onsite ao be prepared to lug all of your bags two blocks without help. The free breakfast was the selling point as we planned on getting an early start. However, it really isn't a selling feature. On the upside the staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't plan on staying here for a prolonged period of time as the TV didn't really work and WiFi was shoty.
Boutique hotel in the heart of Peterborough. The rooms are comfortable and the staff courteous. An added plus was a 15% discount on local dining. Hotel security needs to be addressed.
The room was excellent, however my bar sink didnt work. The "Free Breakfast" on the other hand is a joke. No milk or plates to be found. Better off going to Speak Easy Cafe down the street
Overcomplicated parking situation and very limited breakfast options. Nice rooms for price
Good downtown location but everything in the hotel was pretty out of date. The TV didn't work and the service was slow
Very cool hotel with great staff. Great room and location.
Very warm place with all the necessary services and a good service of the staff
Great little gem in Downtown Peterborough. Rooms were extremely spacious and well appointed. Lots of restaurants nearby. I'll be back.
Compared to previous visits our recent stay did not meet our expectations.
Pros: super-friendly front desk staff, G-R-E-A-T location, and I like that parking is included. Cons: pretty pricey, hotel can use some real love in the upgrading department (all-round room quality) and standard of breakfast offerings.
Great location, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. We will definitely be returning!
Dated decor, but still in good shape. If you don't need things to be modern, quite nice. Decent beds, gas fireplace in the room was cheery on cold November nights, great location for restaurants and theater and walks along the river. Fridge in room and big bathtub was great. Breakfast was fine. Not as good as a lot of places in this price range (no hot foods) but decent fresh fruit and cereals and breads and bagels. No good for folks wanting low carb or gluten free, but fine for me. And there are breakfast places nearby. Gym is ok, in a pinch, but I opted mostly for walk/run along the river.
Staff provided me with a card for 15% off at nearby restaurants and Curry Village right next door was delicious. Generally helpful staff. All in all, satisfied.Won't be raving about it. Won't be ranting, either.
This will be the only place I stay in George St N, Peterborough, from now on.It's in the perfect location. My interior room was just the right the size - also beautiful, clean, and affordable.
I adore the staff!
Upon arrival I noticed the hotel had an weird smell. We got to our room and noticed the furniture was quite outdated. The television was small.
My husband tried turning on the television and it didn t turn on. We called the front desk and they came up but couldn t get the television to work either. We were suggested to switch rooms as the television in the room beside us was working. We switched rooms. The room was pretty much the same the layout just a bit different than our previous one.
Our television in our new room only got one channel. This was disappointing.
The worse thing about our room was the bed. The bed had no support as soon as my husband and I got in the bed the mattress dipped in the middle. The bed was also very loud every time one of us would move. The blanket on the bed was so thin and didn t fit the bed properly.
The bathroom wasn t properly clean and there was little hairs on the floor. The fan in the bathroom was incredibly loud.
This hotel was the worse I ve stayed at. I would not recommend anyone wasting their money here. I honestly do not understand how this establishment has any good reviews. If I could give a rating of negative 5 I would.
Room was great. Super clean. Jacuzzi was wonderful. Only issue was the heat. After turning it down, it didn't seem to help. Room was still really hot.
Excellent customer service. I stayed here for 2 weeks a couple of months ago. at the centre of downtown peterbrough.
Nice size room, a little on the dated side. First night was a write off, air conditioner did not work, room has no windows, couldn't move us as they were fully booked, gave us a fan to push the hot air around. Other 2 nights were uncomfortable but at least they got a new air conditioner. They gave us a whole 10 percent off for the first night where I got 2 hours sleep at the most. I would take a pass on this hotel, not a great experience.
Great hotel in downtown Peterborough...close to some great restaurants and coffeehouses. Quiet, clean and easy to get to. Parking is included but a block away. Overall a great stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Peterborough Inn. We love the history behind the building and the vintage feel. Staff are extremely friendly. We
will be back
I admit the very low price had me worried about this place but it was perfect! Clean, quaint, fantastic service and great location right in the heart of Peterborough near restaurants and more. Will book here again for sure! Would have received 5 stars if they had better pillows - many people are allergic to feathers and the foam ones were lumpy. Just some helpful advice but it would never present me from staying here again.
The hotel is a charming boutique hotel well situated in downtown Peterborough. the staff where very pleasant and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well kept.
