Parked in their 90% empty plot, bought some milkshake which was ok, but then decided to get additional food at a neighboring establishment that took less than 10 minutes. Came back to a parking ticket for "unauthorized parking on private property".
Wow. Absolutely disrespectful to your customers.
I do not recommend coming here.

Peter s Drive-In has been a local favourite since it opened in 1962, both with residents as well as people passing though town. The burgers are simple but tasty, the milkshakes are awesome, and the servings of fries are very generous (a small fries is more than enough for two people!).

This is a old-school drive-in, so there is no dining room, but picnic tables are available out front and in the parking lot to the south of the restaurant. Be sure to grab enough napkins before you sit down!

What a disgusting place!

What a disgusting place!
Me and my wife just ordered onion rings to go. As usual, we keep the box of onion rings inside the bag while I was driving and eating.
When we thought we were almost done eating it, we found out they put 3 packages of ketchup at the bottom of the box, which was supposed to have only onion rings. It was at the bottom of the box, not in the bag! Three big problems here:
1) The portion was actually smaller than it was supposed to be. That's so cheap.
2) We hope we did not get any sort of food poisoning because we ate those onions rings without knowing they were in contact with those ketchup packages. Cross contamination is a big deal when it comes to food safety.
3) I called Peter's to report what happened and whoever was in charge laughed at my face! That was so rude.
That was my last time there.

Peter's is a Calgary/ Red deer must stop! Even if you're not hungry just a milkshake is sure to make ur day better. I love this place and sometimes make road trips from Edmonton just for it

I use to love Peter's till I had the icecream and it had little tiny chunks throughout my cone! The icrecream had oviously been curdled. I would have taken it back and complained but the line up was huge and I couldn't quit gagging.I would have to say one of my worst food experiences ever!!

Oh my, after 40 years I was very disappointed in the food I received today. At 9:45 AM, I ordered a single cheeseburger and an order of onion rings. The cheeseburger was luke warm and the onion rings were overdone and the onions inside them were cold; as it appears they had tried to rewarm onion rings from the day before and obviously failed as they were of very poor quality to me! Was not worth my effort or money. With the stellar reputation they used to have, I am disgusted and very disappointed that this was served to me.

A bit of a wait but less time than expected.. Great price.. The hamburgers were kind of plain.. But those onions rings were the best onion rings I've ever had.. And dipped in a milkshake was perfect.. I'll return for another bucket of onion rings

I will never repeat this experience. I had my allergy made fun of twice after I had to ask to have a burger remade because they didn't listen to my allergy concern. Nothing like being publicly humiliated after the staff refused to listen the first time. Peters drive in don't bother just drive by.

Our favorite over here to buy is milk shake off pine apple and mango. Best in taste. Quality and quantity of pine apple is very reasonable to enjoy. Each sip is wonderful. We kind of addiction of it. Price is very reasonable. But some time you have to wait for a very long time. Especially on weekends. Best is to check on line the peak hours.

I love peter's. Ide say the biggest downside is that there is only one in the north and I live pretty far south. Maybe a good thing so I don't die or too many amazing milkshakes. That's the real reason you go to peter's. Those milkshakes with 4500 flavor mixing options each milkshake can be mixed with 3 flavors and it's awesome how many they have. I would say a weak point is I'm not a huge fan of the food but it's still ok just not my reason for making the trip up there.

Can't beat a milkshake like this. Yummy

worth the line up. Still waiting for when they start with fresh cut fries as there fries are very poor. Staff are always so friendly!!!

Classic burger drive in, with very reasonable prices. While I think the food is alright, the prices and speed of service is what gives it the edge. Oooh and the milkshakes. People often say this place is over rated but I think they rightfully hold their place as a good drive thru place. It does suck that they're often exceptionally busy but that's a good sign.

Food and milkshakes were good, as always, but I feel as if the service is just getting slower and slower. The drive-thru is painfully slow. I understand that quality takes time, but sometimes people have other things to do with their evening. I will, however, continue to come back, as the milkshakes are top-notch.

Good

Growing up, Peter's was *the* place to get burgers and fries, delicious, flavorful, and large portions.

Now the only thing that *sort of* applies is "large portions". I say "sort of" applies because the bun, onion rings, and shake are large. But a patty, is hardly thicker than two lines of text on this Google review. Even with (2) patties, it's not a lot.

$5 - Onion rings - ***
$5 - Milkshake - ***
$7 - Burger - *

For $18?
