We were there only one time to taste their burger and milkshakes as we heard they were famous for that. We had their cheese burger; but the taste was average unfortunately. The milkshake was awesome and it s really delicious. However, the cheese burger didn t impress us - it was okay, but we were expecting something more. Anyway, I would recommend this place.

The burger was decent but their Pepsi was flat or felt like sugar water.

Amount of seating was two picnic tables, which was enough as most people were drive in. I think they need to be more specific with people on toppings offered on a regular burger.

They have been in business for a very long time. Their food is great! When you order a single burger you always get two patties. 3 for a double and so on. Their milkshakes are the best in the city with over 3,500 combinations for you to try.
Dual drive through windows so your passenger can do the payment and collection. This helps them keep the lines down during busy times.
Love the place.
If you visit Calgary, visit Peters!

My go to place Everytime I visit calagary for the famous milkshakes and family size fries. I've visited Peter's drive in on all my trips to calagary but the quality of food / shakes hasn't changed one bit. I shall be back for more next time I visit.

Good go too for late night eat. Always received friendly and good service.

The quality is always consistent too, so when you go you know what you are getting.

The parking lot has a lot of parking!

You can get a combo of 3 flavours. Refer to the picture of the menu that I posted. It's 5 dollars for like an extra large cup at 7 eleven. Milkshake is super thick, slowly melts on tounge. Its worth the money.

Dont waste your time or money coming here. 3 people with burgers and sides came up to over 40 dollars. The fries are horribly bland and the burger was just ok at best. You can get more flavor and value from your nearest mcdonalds for just a fraction of the cost.

patties are flavorless, not enough meat to bun ratio...and btw what kind of burger joint doesnt have bacon:/
The french fries were just blah & undercooked.
I waited a long time in line only to be disappointed.
I would only go back for a milkshake.

Peters is a Calgary landmark. Their feature product would have to be their milkshakes. You can choose from any combination of 20+ flavors, so there's something for nearly anyone.
The burgers and fries are good too, but the onion rings are freakin fantastic!
Milk shake + onion rings = happy taste buds for me.

They have a roomy parking lot with plenty of patio tables under trees between parking spots for outdoor eating, and the outdoor lineup area has heaters for the cold winter months.

One last thing: the drivethru line gets LONG.
When that happens, I recommend parking, putting your legs to use and standing in the people lineups. These lines may look just as crowded as the drivethru, but they really do move a lot faster.

There is not a lot of vegetables inside, but the hamburger sauce is just right. It is really delicious. I ordered a milkshake with vanilla flavor and it tasted good but it was so tough it was hard to eat it. I waited about 20 minutes and I guarantee the taste.

You know. It's not the same as it used to be. Something changed with the meat or the sauce. I still like it because the shakes rock. It would be 5 stars if we could just go back and ask how to make a good burger from previous owner.

The burgers sure have changed over the past few years. VERY dry and almost unedible. I don't think the meat quality is very good. I'll only ever go there for the milkshakes now. What a disappointment.

Any true blue, born and raised 403 resident is probably super nostalgic about this old school drive thru. Get the double cheese with extra sauce, the onion rings, a pile of napkins and try to eat before the grease soaks through the bag :). While non-Calgarians (visitors/imports) appear split on this, just understand that this place has been around for over 50 years and it s Calgary s staple spot - like a Schwartz s in Montreal (except a different sandwich I get it)

Burgers are back to being as good as they were before the sale but the service at the drive thru is horrible, last two visits have been 20 minutes in line, they except debit now but only have one machine for the four service windows really bad as it was not really busy at the place. There is a ton of people working inside but the line moves at a snails pace.......pick it up please

Peters is all about the milkshakes and ice cream. They have 1000s if flavour combinations for their milkshakes, and they are very good. The food is good, but I would t go out of my way for Peter s hot food.

I remember when a large ice cream cone was a large ice cream cone. No longer happens at Peters Drive In. Even if you ask for a LARGE cone, they just ignore you. On another note, the deep fried mushrooms are great, at least the last time I was there. My quest: come on: give out larger cones. I remember when the cone itself was large in order to fill with ice cream. It's a rip off now. What a shame. I'd rather pay a bit more and get my request filled.
