The burger wasn't great I got it just a mess plus the bun was soggy because of too much toppings, Onion rings were good both cashiers were very rude my daughter said the milkshake was a 10/10 but in my opinion the rude cashiers ruined the whole experience

The milkshakes are amazing. So many flavor options. Super thick. The burgers are ok, there are better burgers out there but Peter's burgers will do the job. You get a ton of fries but the fries aren't the most flavorful but are still good.

Completely overrated. The burgers were average, the poutine below average and the milkshakes were okay. Nothing but immigrants work there and they failed to provide napkins! I suppose they lick their fingers and wipe their hands on their shirts but that's not how we do it here in Canada. So, overpriced and overrated food coupled with terrible drive-thru service makes this a forgettable experience.

FYI if you order a double patty, expect to get just a patty and a half (or even less than a half). My family ordered 6 and they all came with a patty and a half so it cannot be just a mistake. I see you.

Huge servings and good food quality. It's not 5 Guys but the burgers are pretty good and they give you tons if fries and onion rings. Shakes are top quality old fashioned shakes too. Peters is a Calgary tradition and worth the stop.

Edit: back to 4 stars as they have good quality and taste. Still would not recommend asking for extra sauce.

Previously rated 4 stars. Now down to 2. I do not know why they do this but whenever I asked for little extra sauce, they put too much in the burger. I have uploaded a picture. I would NOT recommend extra sauce for this place.

This place continues to be a staple Calgary thing. I find their burgers and milkshakes to be on par with McDonald's. Their portions and diversity of milkshakes, however, are what puts them ahead of the competition.

This used to be a hallmark establishment, but now it is worse than many franchise fast food chains. Their burgers are very salty and greasy with flavourless white buns and average condiments. They're ice cream cones and banana split are great, but even though they have over 20 milk shake flavours, they must use minimal mix-ins because all i taste is vanilla. Their is a DQ down the street that is better in many ways for my taste. The walk up counter is very nice during the summer.

Peters' is an important staple of the road-trip through Calgary. It's top-quality milkshakes, family size fries and good hamburgers are unquestionably good and a much needed relief from a long drive. There are few things that bring me happiness the way a good milkshake on the road does. If you're driving through Calgary, I would fully recommend a stop.

Long wait because they were very busy. Probably 30 minutes to get to the window to order. Waited 5-530... Food was fast after ordering and shakes are the best!
SM fries are huge and so are the onion rings. Probably enough for 2 - 3 ppl

The owner was blatantly racist to my friend and I. We were harassed by the owner as soon as we got out of our cars. She assumed that because we were asian, we were going to use the customer parking to go to the bubble tea place next door. As soon as we got out of our cars, she confronted us aggressively and told us that "the parking was only for Peter's Drive-In customers, not for the bubble tea place next door." She then had a worker follow us all the way to Peter's to watch us order. When we went back to our cars, she was waiting there with security. Extremely unacceptable, unprofessional, and offensive.

The place offers very little, there is nowhere to sit and you always have to queue. Even though your order will be ready in a couple of minutes, burgers are no different than any other burger chain. Note: the shakes are delicious, it is the only thing that can be rescued.

A Calgary mainstay that is famous for their burgers, fried, onion rings and, my personal favorite, milkshakes.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't say that their quality of their service are excellent. They are just a typical local burger joint. They do have good milkshakes that are extremely thick and come in a large variety of flavours.

The food here is amazing every time I go. The serving sizes beat just about everywhere in town for your dollar. The staff can be a little slow, but the speed is still comparable to most private fast food Restaraunts.

Even though there is a huge line up, you get fresh burgers and that too delicious ones. Only thing I hate is straws given with the shakes. Takes my breath away to have that thick shake with those stupid straws.

Very delicious burgers and shakes, perfect thickness. But why did you guys change your fries the old ones were way better. With the new fries you get like little pieces.
But a must try. Love this place

Best milkshakes In town, reddit had some interesting flavour combos you can try. They're fries are good, not the best but good and they give a lot for your money, the burgers are also mediocre, it's really only good for it's milkshakes to be honest

Peter's has sliding downhill ever since they changed ownership a number of years ago, but I still enjoyed going for the onion rings occasionally. Unfortunately my last trip was a major disappointment. The burger was about the same but the onion rings were so undercooked they were just slimy balls of greasy batter, not even slightly done. I ate two, hoping to find they were better as I went on but no such luck. This, I might add, was after waiting in line for 40 minutes. I've been going to Peter's since I moved here in 1981 but I don't know if I'll be back.

Went here because boogies was closed for renovations. What a joke. More sauce on the outside of my burger than in. Had to wipe off the bun with a napkin just to pick if up. Fries were more like cold hashbrowns and onion rings were soft and cold. No idea why this place is so popular absolute garbage.

I'm not sure if it's the sauce they use or the extra half Patty on their single burger but this is by far my comfort burger place hands down. The fries are great and the onion rings are spot on so I'll often get both when unable to decide. Top off your trip with a milkshake. Since you are able to get up to 3 flavours the combinations are endless. A little tip I've learned is that if you enjoy a creamsicle flavoured shake add marshmallow to the orange or the grape and see for yourself. Enjoy!!

Ever since the new owners took over, they fired the staff, dropped quality ingredients, and allowed debit.
They hired replacements at minimum wage, created longer lineups due to debit, and lowered the quality of the food. This is a shame. I don't go there anymore.

The Hotdog: There s an odd taste to the hotdog, no flavor, soggy bun, too much sauce and the sausage lacks texture. There s usually a snap when biting a hotdog. This hotdog was cut in half, no flavor and this odd taste I can t really explain. Not the first time I experience this at Peter s in their different locations. I quit trying.

Very nice place. It brings the babyboomer's apetite back. Its probably the Canada's in and out and shack shake burger. Definitely give this a try especially if you are a newcomer/traveler in Alberta.

First Peters experience last night and I was not disappointed. All this meal needed was a tray to hook onto the glass of the drivers side window and a server on roller skates. Classic Americana. If you re planning on going, be prepared to wait in the line of cars that backs up four plus blocks. Trust me, it is worth the wait.
