Milkshakes are great, sizes of food is on the larger side. Helpful tip: you don't need a "large fries" it's actually a bag of fries that will do a family. They now take cash & debit, speaker system could use an upgrade.

I don't get the hype. I've tried it several times and its lackluster at best. Bogies burgers is a better option or even inglewood drive in. This place also somehow manages to congest the trans canada highway traveling eastbound as people are lining up down right lane of 16th ave trying to get into the drive thru. The city should really address this, it's not okay.
Classic old style drive thru. Burgers are simple, messy, and nothing special, but still tasty. I do like the onion rings, however plain they are. The milkshakes are why you'd come here.
Peters is the vast place in Calgary, by far to get shakes. They have a crazy assortment of flavours. Their food on the other hand, less then adequate...
They make a better burger than most fast food chain burgers you'll find (add the fried onions, a single is huge) , but their milkshakes are really amazing. They have so many different flavours and combinations that you can get lost deciding. They also have a discounted shake of the day if you have trouble choosing. Likewise with the huge burgers, the fries follow suit. Poutine or small fries are more than enough for 2 adults.
They get five stars from me for the milkshakes and portion sizes, but also for the consistency. Despite the original owner passing away in 2008, when it was sold to the new owner it was contingent on him NEVER changing ANYTHING on the menu. Now, 12 years later, the new owner has clearly taken that promise seriously. Only down side, they are BUSY. Expect to wait in line for 15+ minutes.
Calgary's iconic burger drive-in. Peter's is so popular that the city had to change the access to accommodate the crowd of visitors. The burgers are good. The fries are average (I prefer crisp not soggy). The milkshakes are FANTASTIC. Peter's deserves to be on you fast food rotation.
The cashier was prompt and polite. The burger was cooked to perfection. 5 stars fast food! My favorite order is Triple Cheese Burger, Small Fry, Onion Rings, and a daily special Milkshakes. This location has both drive-thru and counter services. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant for the visitor to park and eat. Now the restaurant also takes credit card payment additional to debit card and cash.
For people from outside of Calgary: Peter's is absolutely legendary for their milkshakes and onion rings. If you are in town, GO THERE. The burgers are pretty mediocre but nobody goes to Peter's for a burger anyway.
Scrumptious Milkshakes and so many flavours to choose from. Really liked the Onion Rings and that there were so many in the box. Traditional drive thru burger is delicious especially their sauce and Awesome Fries!!!. Couldn't be any better.
The milkshakes are heavenly as always and nice and thick! You definately get a lot of bang for your buck there. The wait wasn't too long either so if you wanna grab a quick shake with friends this is definately the place.
Great milkshakes! I got the banana, oreo, vanilla milkshake The staff are nice and work really hard. Definitely a staple of Calgary. I believe Canada only has 2 Peter's drive ins. This one and one in BC. If you are driving through, do not miss out on these. You can even get a root beer flavor.
Love the milkshakes here (LOTS of choice) and, during a pandemic a drive-through is a great option. Often busy though. Be prepared to wait in the drive through for at least 10 minutes.
This place has a cult following..it can be seen through the flock of people dining around n long lines n lines for the cars for pick ups..
That's where it all stops....
Milkshakes were a treat n definitely worth it..great flavors. We had coffee, marshmallow n Oreo.. definitely coming by this joint for..
Burgers we're a disappointment..patties were not seasoned n were not juicy n very dry...no cheese on them even when we asked...they were soggy with the Peter's sauce..
Hot dogs were better n the accompaniments definitely made it good to eat.
Fries were undercooked n oily!!! When it's nit cooked through right it's oily...
Onion rings were much better n was full of flavors n crunchy.
Will definitely go for milkshakes n NOT for burgers..
This place holds alot of memories and is a fantastic choice for fast food. what makes this location famous is the milkshakes and I can support that. aside from the shakes, the food is also really good and well proportioned an example being the fries: the amount you get is crazy. it can get really busy but that is to be expected from such a popular place
It's a classic location, the milkshakes are thick, the onion rings are top notch, the burgers are pretty good but also what keeps it from 5 stars. Just nothing special.
Absolutely In tears. Bought a milkshake from here and food from a nearby restaurant and sat in my car to enjoy. Next thing I know, I have a security guard knocking on my window and telling me to leave because it was for Peters customers ONLY. I tried to explain that I got a milkshake but he told me it was policy to make people leave unless they are customers of peters ONLY. Just want to add that the car park was 70% empty... Milkshake was ok.
Nice old time drive in place. Their burgers and fries and milkshake was really good. Reminds me of a place back home called Floyd's Dairy Bar. Tried to go back on new years day but they were closed. Have to try again before I leave Calgary. Will visit each time I come here.
Food was cold and greasy. This business has stayed open during the outbreak. Socially irresponsible in the extreme. I saw 50 people cuing out front the other day, without regard for social distancing.
Yesterday, around 3:53, I parked in the peters drive in parking lot. We originally went to get some food since I was craving some onion rings. I then was craving some bubble tea, so then I walked over to Coco s since it was the closest one to peters. Since I got food from peters, o didn t think there would be a problem. I was also with a group of people. Once I had left coco s the old lady, supposedly supposed to be the manager at peters had stopped us saying, we don t support coco s many times. Yes, they don t support coco s but we did get peters??... i then told her that we got food from them, so it wouldn t be a problem if we wanted bubble tea? Who is going to stop us from going...? She then didn t believe us when she was the one that took my order... she asked to see the bag with the receipt. We showed her and she accused us from TAKING IT OUT FROM THE TRASH, which made me so upset?! Why would someone say that we went through all that just for a bag from the trash?! What if I had ate all of the food before going to coco s? What then? That s when I got upset and threw the bag onto the table. She said that I threw it in her face and cut her lip (which I did not and did not hurt her in any way, shape or form). She got upset and as we were all near the cashier, she decided to slam the window till. She slammed it so hard and so sudden, we would ve had our fingers broken if we didn t move fast enough. She then hit one of us?! Saying that she s going to call the police on us, because we supposedly threw the bag directly to her face...? The police ended up coming to peters to hear us all out. It was honestly a waste of time for them and also for us. 100% would NOT recommend coming back to peters again for the customer service. It was unfair since we GOT peters and then coco s, which we had the right to park in the peters parking spot in the first place. There were witnesses at peters but the old lady said they could not say anything. The old lady was just absurdly rude and racist, the fact that she thought we went to only coco s when we clearly had proof of our peters purchase. When she made a big deal out of it, which made zero sense when we clearly had proof. I always loved coming to peters for food and milkshakes, but now, because of this incident, I now don t want to go back for anything. I much rather go elsewhere. I don t understand their policy... even if we get stuff from them, we can t get other things around the area? It s just so unfair how we were treated. This attitude is not acceptable nor appropriate towards any of the customers. We are here to support you, but with that attitude, there will be no one willing to support any place with that kind of treatment.
