Great place to go for a milkshake and an old fashioned burger and fries!!! It gets quite busy especially in the summer!!! I love the candy cane milkshake in the winter too! They do have a parking lot behind it if you want to walk up instead of using the drive thru.

As always, a great food destination. The milkshakes were fantastic, although at this most recent visit the fries and burgers were a bit under-salted. Of course, this is always better than too much salt, and they gave us free salt packets anyway. So no harm, no foul.

I feel the burgers here are a bit overrated, but it could just be preference. I can see how some people may like the style of burger that is served, so I would suggest trying and deciding for yourself. The milkshakes are great.

Food delicious.. But the person taking our order... Really didn't know what she was doing. I had to repeat my order 4times and she still asked me again when I got to the window. Food was hot, delicious and I crave it.

This place is iconic in Calgary. Their milkshakes, fries and onion rings are great. I don't care for their hamburgers. For their milkshakes, you can order extra flavor or mix up to 3 flavors. Makes for some good fun. I had the pina colada with extra pineapple. My daughter combined raspberry with coconut. I think I will try that next time. If you order a fruit milkshake, be sure to order extra flavor. You get a lot of fries, onion rings and shakes for your money. Big portions

Otherwise, the patty contains only cheese
There are a lot of pictures in the review that only contain cheese
You can't let french fries in family size
Four people sit around and eat less than a third ^^;
It's not fried or crispy fries without shortening.
The onion rings are salty but delicious
I had two milkshakes one by one, but I couldn't eat because the straw was too narrow
It looks like it's more popular because of its good value for money when looking at Canadian prices

thanks

It survives on nostalgia. The milkshakes are still good, but the burgers are average at best. Onion rings are great, but only if you eat them there or on the way home, once they're cold they're terrible. There is always a line, but the service is fast. If you're a tourist, don't waste your time unless a local drags you and you want to hear stories of when they came here in high school.

Terrible. First time I ever went Ordered a milkshake. The woman who took my order waz extremely rude, and then insisted what I was ordering was "Wrong" so she typed in what she thought would be better. Repeatedly interrupted me until I just gave up and bought the milkshake she had typed in.

When I actually received the milkshake, it was extremely bland. No taste what so ever except for a light vanilla ice cream taste. Not worth the $6 at all. I could get significantly better for significantly cheaper at McDonalds.

Average food not really worth the wait but the outdoor atmosphere and lineups make it fun. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure they go slow on purpose just to maintain a lineup to make themselves look busy and sometimes they get a little carried away with doing that.

Peters is classic. I cannot count the times that I skipped class to grab a famous milkshake during my highschool years, or stopped by for a cheeseburger during a late night drive. Peters may not have the most unique food selection, and without the milkshakes would simply be another fast food joint, but the crowd that gathers here every night, the loooong lines and the packed drive thru queue say it all.

Also it may sound gross, but my favourite milskshake combo is Blueberry-Oreo.

I regret telling my bf to stop at peters instead of cat and fiddle.
We order two double cheese burger, one single cheese burger, onion ring and two milkshakes. Drive 20 min back home with the food and when I open the bag all there was is 2 double cheese burger and onion ring.
I hope they enjoy their $5.50 tip as now i gotta make dinner when I m suppose to be enjoying a burger.

Really love their shakes and ice-creams. The price is reasonable. Either you pay with cash or debit, no credit card option available. Normally there is lineup in drive through but usually the max wait time is 15 minutes unless other than a few exceptions. Quality, quantity and taste are all great. I especially like their Oreo coffee shake. Staff is always courteous and friendly.

Only come here for the milkshakes. Plenty of flavors and they taste pretty good. Probably have more calories than the burgers as well. The burgers and fries are nothing special: apparently they've gone downhill from a few years back.

The shakes are overly sweet, onions rings and fries are standard, service is pretty good considering the number of poor souls who have been brainwashed into thinking this is good food. But the real miracle is their burgers... WOW!!! Somehow they managed to infuse the flavor of simulated meat into a sponge and turned it into a burger, how do they do it?!?!

This is still a good place to eat but it s just not the same as when we used to go....

Pro
- There is a drive through that runs both sides to the place and menu boards for three vehicles each side at a time so even when the vehicle in front holds the line up for a second they can still get your order started.
- secret menu item tradition that if you order a single Berger you get 1&1/2 patties in the Berger. So it s a 1.5 at single price.
- family fries still feed your extended family also as in its huge and easy feeds all our four.
Milkshakes come in more flavours then they should (lemon curdles milk ) but somehow still tats great from them.
- if you show up in a gray hound Buss or are behind one your still going to get your food fast!!!
- there is a large parking lot south of the main entrance.

Cons
- if you have a trailer on your not getting into or out of the parking area easily if at all, straight truck the size of a grahound bus your good.
- access is only from east bound 16Ave now and is a nightmare to get back on to 16 when leaving if it s mid to late day
