Fantastic place. Fair price for where it is and the views are just fantastic. There were 7 of us and if you can manage to get a sit outside with the view of the downs you don't mind paying for the food, which all tastes great!

Pembroke Lodge is a fine old building in Richmond Park which sells food, primarily lunch, and afternoon tea. I found the food mediocre, average. That was a tuna & onion sandwich and smoked salmon on rye bread. I suspect from my knowledge of eateries that Pembroke Lodge is not as well managed as it could/should be. Their afternoon teas are good though, the quality of the scones, clotted cream and jam.

My husband and I had our wedding at Pembroke Lodge recently. The whole experience was incredible. All of the staff I have corresponded with from the beginning of the process have been responsive, helpful, informed and well organised. The food on the day was excellent and plentiful, for our entire wedding party. They pay a lot of attention to detail and really took care of all of us. Our banqueting manager was great and had everything under total control on the day, even suggesting to move outside for tea and wedding cake because the weather was so beautiful. Highly recommend this as a wedding venue...!

As a wedding venue this place is a hidden gem. Looking at pictures of this place you would be excused for doubting it's proximity to London; even when visited it's not so easy to imagine. By no means is it a massive venue but it's cosy and elegant. Set in Richmond Park, this Georgia building offers the most beautiful and picturesque scenery, including views of the Thames. Importantly,:the staff appeared professional, efficient and polite..

I went to Pembroke Lodge for the marriage of my son to his new wife. We had a lovely time. The food was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds are lovely too. On the way to the Lodge I was watching the deer running freely in the parkland. Totally amazing.

I queued for ages to get into the Pembroke Lodge cafe today, thinking it would be worthwhile for a nice afternoon cream tea with a warm scone, fresh clotted cream and jam. When I got inside, it was bare. Just a few sandwich boxes and tired looking cheesecakes and a few other cakes left. It was a very slow moving queue just for a tea or coffee. I gave up and walked out.

If this is what it is like every day during these pandemic times, I would not recommend going there.

I love the rooms and location, but the food could be better. We often come for breakfast and the cooked breakfast has a distinct canteen feel to it. The food is prepared in advance, leading to soggy hash browns and bacon. It's a pity, really. The setting is just so beautiful.

As a wedding photographer I have worked at lots of venues but at Pembroke Lodge I really felt that the staff pulled out all the stops and worked with all the suppliers as part of a team to ensure that the bride and groom had a wonderful day. Thanks!

Beautiful grounds and house set within Richmond park with cafe and toilet facilities inside and outside with an information hut just outside. Parking can be very busy at weekends but is free and the cafe inside serves delicious but pricey food. You can hire the lodge out for events but again very pricey. Good views of London and surrounding area in the gardens.

Always a nice place to have breakfast or lunch. I was surprised on a Friday lunch as there was no more table inside. Sitting outside is OK if it is warm. Mind you, there a lots of birds may disturb or come to share your meal.

good place for afternoon tea, food availability is limited after 2pm and staff needs to be little bit faster.

Revisit, staffing gone worst, I am not a picky person but didn t like the staff attitude at the cafe.

This beautiful old building has been here for centuries, set upon Richmond Hill with gorgeous views over suburban West London. It has everything going for it. However, it seems to have been ruined with poorly executed interior design and conversion into a cafe that more resembles a school cafeteria than what this building really deserves. I've lived nearby for decades and been here many, many times - including for weddings. The wedding venue is somewhat tacky with odd lighting, garish furniture and a general feeling of MEH. Added to that, the food and drink are expensive. I would so, so love to see this place renovated by someone with an eye for great interior design, reforming it to a standard this beautiful old building really deserves.

Always a good place to have a cup of tea or lunch. Food is generally very good. But at busy times it can be a bit stressful getting a table. Note to Richmond park chief's...concrete the car park all over with marked bays as well. Simply when it's wet your car gets covered in mud and in summer it gets covered in dust.

Came here for some tea and cake. Reasonably priced and the food was really nice with amazing views. The only thing that spoilt it was the vast number of wasps which were bothering everyone. At one point we had 8 wasps flying amongst our food. Unfortunately they had no wasp deterrents and it did ruin an otherwise relaxing afternoon break.

Lovely location but chaotic restaurant serving barely edible food. Two of our party left most of their food. Sweet and sour chicken was chicken nuggets tinned pineapple and peppers in what was probably a cheap copy of a Homepride sauce ...and as well as rice was offered roast potatoes carrots etc!! And no ice cream for children. And not cheap. Gardens lovely. It was busy but someone who knows about cooking should be put in the kitchen and a manager to organise the staff.

This place was always on top of my list for nice breakfast. It looks like there has been some budget cuts or change of management. They have started charging for items which were free before and the place is not as clean as it used to be and it needs better ventilation system to filter the smell of food. On hot summer days it is a pleasure to buy something here and sit outside to enjoy the most beautiful views of London
