Jennifer is seriously one of the best stylists I ve ever seen. I m very particular with my hair, and she nails it every time! Plus it always feels like I m going to see an old friend when I come in. I highly recommend.

Ann Marie is an artist. She goes out of her way to come up with just the perfect style for you and your unique expression!

Paul is a Master of his craft. He is an excellent colorist and stylist. He manages his salon well and is clearly respected by his team. Paul has gathered a staff of highly trained professionals around him and they work well together.

Paul is very attentive and cares about his clients as individuals. He doesn t just listen to you and your ideas, he engages with you. He is very observant and lifts your spirits so that you not only look beautiful after he works with you, but you feel beautiful. I ve lived in Boulder for 35 years and have tried a number of salons. Colours is by far the best salon in Boulder.

Amelia is awesome! She has a very good read on my hair, she was able to take it from highlights to all over blonde with minimal damage. And I always get a perfect haircut from her!

Jennifer was fantastic, intuitive and easy to get along with. This was my first time I. The salon and I will definitely be back. It s more expensive than the other place I go to, but now that I have had the full treatment I am hoping subsequent suits will be less pricey.

Paul Morrison's salon is a notch above the rest! I love my highlights and haircut by Nicole! What a "Gem" of a stylist she is. I appreciated how she not only took the time to hear what I wanted but offered suggestions and products to condition my hair. I will be back!

First time here. Off the bat, the receptionist was so kind and seemed happy to work where she does. Then, Nicole made me feel so comfortable and welcome! I had a terrible box dye and disaster prior salon hair dye from another place I had little faith going in as I have NEVER had a good hair dying experience before. My hair always turns brassy and orange regardless of color I choose. I am getting married in less than a week, and I was in crunch mode! She assured me I was in good hands and she did an amazing job, in a reasonable amount of time!, Unlike other stylists, she devoted the entire appointment to me and I never felt rushed. She was easy to talk to (and I never like talking with stylists because I m very shy)!
It was a great experience and I can t thank her enough! Although she is very new to the parlor (and so am I) I feel like she represented what this company is all about customer service above all else. I will definitely be coming in again! Her professionalism and skill is refreshing:)

I met with Jennifer to have her cut my hair. She will also be doing my hair for my wedding in December so it was a chance for us to meet. She did an awesome job with my hair. I have naturally curly hair and have had bad experiences in the past with people not knowing how to cut it. I loved my hair when she was done! And I look forward to having her do my hair for my wedding. She's super nice and easy to talk to.

After meeting with Jennifer for a consultation, I felt very confident she could fix a post covid lock down treatment I had at another salon which was not a success to say the least. When I returned home after my appointment with Jennifer, my 24 year son , unsolicited, said my hair color never looked so good and it made me look younger. Jennifer did a fantastic job . I have had my hair colored at some of the best salons in Chicago and hands down, Jennifer has given me the the most beautiful hair.

What an excellent location and atmosphere! And Anne Marie is AMAZING! She performed magic on my daughter s hair! The process of color correction and fashion coloring was extremely well-handled by Anne Marie and her expertise. And her company was soothing and entertaining. We had a great time and the results were INCREDIBLE! We will certainly return!!

I was a bit uncomfortable when I entered and exited Colours because the receptionist covered her entire face with her mask only after I had entered and then touched it and didn't clean her hands before she took my temperature. I understand that she is young and healthy however I am almost 70 years old and really doing my best to follow the COVID-19 protocols. However, it was a great relief to be in a non blow dry room. AnnMarie was exquisitely mindful of following the protocols, even wearing a shield and a mask, sanitizing her hands often, checking in with me to see if I felt safe, etc. And the haircut and partial color were, as always, outstanding. I have had many hair stylists in my life and AnnMarie is the first to really "get" me and my hair. I'm so glad she is working in Boulder for she is a rare find.

Amanda is adept at coloring and cutting. Definitely hears your concerns and takes time to discuss options. Have never been disappointed. Many salons leave you anxious to get home and "restyle" before being seen in public but I'm always confident to run errands as soon as I finish at the salon. Super friendly and accommodating staff.

Nicole really takes the time to talk about any ideas I have and helps work out what she thinks would look best. Super happy with my cut and color!

This salon is lovely and Austin did an incredible job with my hair. He is super friendly and incredibly competent. I came in with incredibly damaged over-processed hair, and he was very careful to protect my hair while he lightened my roots. Austin was very confident and I felt totally comfortable and left with very nice blonde summer hair!

Amelia is incredible. If you are experiencing a crisis of "I'm going to chop all my hair off," go see her first.

My first experience at this salon earlier this week was 100% positive. From the appointment setting, to followup and respect of my time that I haven't experienced in the few salons I have tried in Boulder/Denver.

The stylist, Emily, did a great job of discovering my needs, how much effort I want to put into my hair daily and fixing the previous butcher hair cut I had received earlier this fall from a different salon.

Love this salon! They squeezed me in for an emergency hair crisis last minute, around the holidays. Nicole is an amazing stylist as well as a pleasure to be around! I had such a great experience at Boulder Colours formally Paul Morrison Colours. It started with such a great phone call with James the owner who is so sweet and kind. He stocks his salon with such great yummy products. He also has the sweetest and kindest staff. As I walked into the salon with the doors open allowing the Boulder fresh mountain breeze inside the salon. Very clean and tidy was the lobby I entered from 15th street. I was greeted by Shaina with such a warm welcome. I just waited a few minutes and Amelia my stylist was ready to see me. We talked a little about what I was not liking about my current style and what I was hoping to accomplish and we got right to work. The shampoos and conditioning creams smelled wonderful and Amelias care was genuinely great! We finished with a great cut and color. I love my hair it's perfect for spring and it's very low maintenance. As I had requested and Amelia delivered. Thank you Boulder Colours for such a great experience!

Great staff and great results. I had the challenge of dying my hair back blonde from where I had dyed it pink but my stylist made it look so easy! There wasn't any breakage and the products used were great quality, and I couldn't have been happier with the haircut I walked out with. I'd definitely recommend Colours to anyone looking for a salon.

I LOVE Colours!! I recently found this gem after several "misses" around Boulder. The staff is outstanding and made me feel valuable; so UNLIKE many other too-cool front desk folks found at other places (especially on Pearl St). I saw Juliana and she NAILED my color. I feel beautiful and have had so many complements. I love, love, love her and my look. Colours has a fan and customer for life.

Always a great experience starting with the friendly greeting when I walk in the door. Amanda always takes the time to listen and does a great job managing my unruly hair.

So beyond happy with my experience here. I highly recommend Bethany! I had gotten my hair done by a previous salon and was absolutely miserable over the results. Bethany was able to rework my hair into much more than I ever could have hoped for. She listened and knew exactly what I wanted, while using her expertise and knowledge to create a canvas even more beautiful. I cannot say enough good things. I came to her super bummed about my previous experience and she made me feel reassured, confident and in the absolute best hands. Bethany, you are a true professional and know how to create magic! Paul Morrison brings a professional, honest and problem solving way of doing business. He evaluated a recent color problem administered to my hair by JEN on his staff. He gladly took charge of the situation by dispensing separate color products needed to correct the unwanted ash color. His expert evaluation & implementation of the issue brought about a certain amount brightness to a portion of my hair, which helped. There is still quite a bit of the unwanted ASH color. I have confidence that he will possibly use a color remover to take out the unwanted ASH color that remains in my hair. I would recommend him for ANY and ALL your hair needs. I look forward to seeing him in the near future ;)

My experience with JEN at Colours was VERY FRUSTRATING & expensive!
I would not recommend JEN if you want a good hair color OR a good cut. She obviously did NOT listen to my concerns regarding my color or cut I wanted.
I chose her after a consult with her since she is listed as an "American Board Certified Haircolorists". The end result proved she DID NOT listen to what color (or cut) I was looking for. My main concern was I DID NOT WANT "ASH" color on my hair. I clearly wanted lighter blond highlights to be added to my outgrowth of darker natural hair. She also suggested pulling in some other golden color to the out growth of my lighter longer hair. Unfortunately, I ended up with a very DARK ash color throughout my hair! I was straightforward and crystal clear that I DID NOT WANT ANY ASH COLOR in my hair. After seeing her twice in a recent two week period, (and $400 later) I ended with EXTREMELY DARK ASH BLOND through out my entire hair ! ! On the 'Bright Side' , the gracious & accommodating owner Paul Morrison was more than glad to try and correct the problem. He seemed to do as much as possible to resolve the problem created by JEN. He used a hair color remover to take out the dark ash color, which approximately 40% of the ash color remains. He then added some bleached highlights to eliminate more of the dark ash that could not be removed. I still have a fair amount of ash blond ~ I WOULD highly recommend Paul Morrison (Owner) for all your hair needs.

I have been going to this salon for 8+ years, and the quality of service is always excellent and consistent, no matter who does the work. In May, when salons started to reopen, I called to make an appt., but my regular stylist had not yet returned to work. I also did not know the salon had changed hands, which the receptionist let me know. I made an appointment with Walid, the (new) owner, and he has cut and/or colored my hair five times since May. He's a real color and cut expert, and a perfectionist when he's styling hair. Glad to have found him, and glad to know that the salon is maintaining its excellent standards!

I've loved both of my experiences at Paul Morrison! Extremely professional yet welcoming at the same time. I got a pretty dramatic cut which I was nervous going in to. Amanda cut and styled me; left loving it. Definitely recommend it! 5 starts!

My first time at Paul Morrison was this weekend and I had a great experience. Jennifer did all over highlights on my fine blonde hair and it looks amazing! Walid was amazing! My favorite place to go in Boulder. I scheduled an appointment on the app which was quite easy. Liked how she went through the process explaining things I didn t know or understood and even though the style I wanted wasn t possible due to my hair she worked hard to do something that worked for me and I loved it. Thank you Nicole.

Very disappointed. I have been their customer for 2+ yers. I was working with their previous blond balayage stylist Jennifer, she was awesome and did magic each time. She left and I had to change the stylist. The color didn't work, which I can accept, but the rudeness and lack of understanding from the staff unfortunately is too much to handle for the $$$ that they charge. I went in for blond balayage, it looked good but there were some corrections that needed to be done so I had to come in again for correction. After that, it looked great at first but as soon as I washed my hair the highlights appeared super brassy almost florescent orange, something that never ever occurred before. Again I had to reach out to them and after some time back and forward we made an appointment for the stylist to see the hair. To put this in context, my third appointment. Unfortunately, I work evening shifts due to covid changes in working schedule and my shift ended up at 5 am (usually ends at 1am), and I immediately send them a message that I don't think I would be able to come in explaining why. Their response lacked any sort of understanding and was that I either come, or if I cancel I will have to pay full service again. That is on top of already paying the full service and coming in already once for correction. They absolutely don't take any responsibility in the fact that the reason I have to come in again is that the color was not done great (i.e., their responsibility) and completely lack any empathy, understanding or support for the waste of my time and energy in coming in for corrections. And now in addition to paying 300$ of full service in their salon, I will have to pay a correction somewhere else. I will also mention that during these 2+ years, coming several times a year and each time leaving approx. 200-300$, I would definitely expect at least some sort of support, but unfortunately their policies protect just them, not the customer.

8/8 -- Hi, thank you for your answer. The first time I went in for "color correction" was because the stylist left a big dark hole (circle) on one side of the highlights, photos which I sent you, among other things. I took the time out of my schedule to come in again for the correction and I absolutely didn't complain (although with something like that I could have). With all the respect, this is not something that is being done as a courtesy, but unfortunately you portray it like that. If there was an actual mistake in the highlights, yes it's your responsibility to repair that. That time she added new highlights in the front, which as I mentioned in my post, I liked at first, but as soon as I washed my hair they were brassy and orange. I was your client for 2 years and that never ever happened before with the previous stylist. I believe it's quite clear from the picture that the new added highlights are brassy. If this is the quality of the highlights with an additional hassle of arranging corrections and coming in, then yes I feel this service is not proper or even a place to trust.

You will not find a better Salon in Boulder. The attention to detail is indisputable. The stylist are professional, talented and friendly. The owner, Paul Morrison is a terrific individual and runs a quality business.

My experience at Colours has been nothing short of friendly, talented, and professional. Paul himself worked on my hair to fix some color problems. He did such a fantastic job that my family members (who usually don't notice such things) commented on how great it looked. I consistently leave with awesome results. All of the stylists I've worked with have been great. These guys definitely have a customer for life with me, and I highly recommend them. They truly go above and beyond to have happy clients, and the level of integrity here is far above any other salon I've been to.

Amanda Jensen is amazing! She really takes the time to make sure you are getting the right treatments for your hair and all of your needs met. Whenever we do color she does a great job of keeping it looking natural and fresh. Paul always makes an effort to say hi to all of the clients in his salon, and learn a little about you. From providing you with a drink and snacks from the second you walk in, to the high end style and hair care, this salon goes above and beyond to make it an experience worth posting about!
