These guys are the gurus of lighting. I am an amateur photographer that will not likely darken their door for another year. But, they treated me like I was their best friend. You can order from them online, but if you get a chance to by and see them.

Buff's product and customer service is an unmatched value. I have been a client for over 20 years, from owning 3 of the Ultra White Lightings in the late 1980's to four of the latest Einsteins. Any order issue, or repair, is taken care of as fast as the shippers can ship it.

I am a professional photographer. Since I first began my career in photography I have always thought how great it was that a company like Paul Buff is to make a product affordable enough so that I could purchase it as a college student but sturdy enough that it's still running 6 years later just as great as the day I first used it. I have had a couple of repairs done by Paul C Buff and I could not have been more satisfied with the way they handle their customer service. Paul C Buff has customer care and service unlike any company I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The staff are always more than helpful when I have called and emailed, which is another great thing! When I call and want to talk to someone who'd looking at my repair or handling my order, I can do it without having to wade through a giant phone system. I love my Einsteins and deegee beesss YES in 2019 customer service is world class period .I actually talk to a real person and they listen to your concerns for the price of these strobes is hands down the best .. i do not care if is old technology i do not worry about all that i Just plug and shoot.I shoot manual I want to be in control NO HSS ? who cares i use Density filters or leaf shutter and not really into that killing the sun My main concern is giving my clients beautiful lighting . I get amazing results the quality of these lights are amazing soft , milky , white on skin tones.. i just hope they release some portability lights like Godox 400 or 600 or like profoto b10 it will be mind blowing.. and the soft boxes are amazing there robust well made.. The new beauty dish is amazing .. And my deegee bees and small and powerful Thank u buff! for providing affordable lighting !

I am a pro photographer and I own and operate four lights from Paul C Buff ranging from a AlienBee B800 to a WhiteLightning X1600 and several light modifiers. The quality is excellent, the price is great and the customer service is legendary. My favorite light is my X1600 which uses a heavy-duty remote input jack (vs. a lightweight 1/8" jack on the AlienBees). I have not had a chance to try there Einstein line of strobes but I have heard the light quality is excellent.

I have been buying their lighting gear for over a decade. They compete head to head with the most expensive lighting names in the industry . But where they excel is in customer service. Easily 5 stars.

Where do I even begin??? The customer service from this company is BEYOND amazing. I have been a loyal patron of Paul C. Buff for 5 years. In that time, I've needed technical support a handful of times (slow learner here!) Any product I purchase from this company seems to be backed with such a high standard of customer care that I am always extremely confident that if I have an issue, it will be resolved 100%. Every time I talk to the technical support staff (Joe is amazing and I think he really does know everything there is to know!) I not only get helped, but also I come away learning more than I went in hoping to learn. I haven't even begun to talk about the quality of products they offer!!! Don't get me started or you'll be here ALL DAY. I have the 640 Einstein with the octo. LOVE it. Thank you PCB!!!

SAFETY HAZZARD - I received TWO Einstein units that were both safety hazards from Paul C. Buff which is completely unacceptable. The first light was not fully assembled. Screws were missing so that unit obviously did not go through a proper inspection. The second unit overheated and the plastic around the levers to attach a light modifier melted, causing the modifier and front half of the unit to fall on me while I was shooting. Luckily I wasn t injured, but I definitely could have been. These two experiences ruined two paid shoots of mine, and the manager of the customer service team offered me a $25 gift card for my trouble. I m sorry, but that is not enough. I lost out on money by these two shoots being ruined, in total I ve went WEEKS now without a proper light. I expected this company to have great equipment and great customer service based on the reviews online. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Cheap poorly made unsafe products. I m hoping this THIRD unit I m receiving on Wednesday will actually be made and inspected properly.

Everyone was SUPER AWESOME!!! I was a bit unsure about the items I wanted to order, so I went to see if I could get a visual of everything. Angela was so helpful showing me everything I needed to see and went above and beyond helping me out. Placing an order this weekend.

Just fantastic. Not only are their lights of terrific value for a new, beginner, and experienced photographers, their customer service is top notch. I had a vagabond battery that arrived faulty. After a quick call, they apologized for the inconvenience and sent a replacement immediately, no questions asked. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to start with studio flash.

I own the Einstein and Cyber Commander and have used them for weddings, high school proms and more. I've always been very pleased. When I called the company with a question, within seconds I was put in contact with David. He was extremely friendly, professional and even more helpful than I expected. Probably the best lighting equipment I ve ever had. Also it s pretty cool that Paul lived in the same house on Woodlawn that I did makes me feel like I chose the right profession in being a photographer.

On top of the Einstein studio strobes being top-of-the-line with perfect color balance and wonderful recycling and controls, their customer service is beyond great. I 2nd Day'd a new Einstein and it did not get here
when it was supposed to, so they sent me another one overnight on their nickle WITHOUT asking me for more money. I now need to send the first one (my 4th) back or buy it. Never expected that kind of service. I would never go anywhere else for what they sell. I only wish I could give them 10 stars!!!

Quality products. Have used their lights and soft boxes for years now. The biggest issue I have with them is their outrageous shipping costs. A small 22inch beauty dish costing 71 dollars for ground shipping?

Brought my ANCIENT White Lightening hand-me-down for repair hoping it was fixable. Not only was every single person I met there so kind and helpful, but they were also extremely knowledgeable! They were able to fix my light in under 3 days! Would recommend x10000 to anyone wanting to start/continue in the strobe game and wants a reliable company to venture with.

Quality products! In my 6th year of being a customer, customer service is TOPS, from Reception to sales and repair. Yes after 5.5 years of heavy shooting and getting rained upon, my ring flash had to be repaired! They had the unit back to me in just 4 biz days!

Great value for your money, until it breaks.
I've been using their lights and modifiers for about 7 years now and have always loved them. Unfortunately the last 2 times I sent equipment in for repair, they were returned still broken! I'm out shipping and repair costs and still have broken equipment. I emailed them, of course, asks haven't heard back after 2 weeks.

Worst customer service experience! I ve had problems with my cyber commander and have shipped it in already 2 times for repairs which has effected my photography bookings. I ve waited on the device for over a month. I m now having the same mechanical issues and realize I m going to be shipping the device out for repair a 3rd time. This company is a joke and has done nothing to help me. Worst experience I ve had with any company.

I was driving through Nashville and had the opportunity to stop in and see where my favorite studio light was produced.
Was hoping to see a showroom, and they had one, just not much of one. I was already familiar with all their products, but just the fact I got to stop in was enough.
The staff were as great as their product! Even gave me a free women's t-shirt for stopping in.
