The experience I had with the receptionist today is what made me write this review. She was very unprofessional and rude. She kept cutting me off why I was trying to speak and basically called me a liar. I have my phone records and emails from when I called in trying to make contact with someone to get my son in for an appointment. I really like this agency doctors. But they need to train the receptionist on using better customer services skills. I will be contacting the better business bureau to file a complaint.

Unfortunately the last month or so with this company has made me want to look for care elsewhere for my daughter. Between a therapist questioning my religious beliefs, Also had a therapist not only come to my home in my absence but ENTER my home without my knowledge or permission!! and the same threatening to contact dfacs then a nurse practitioner (not my daughters regular) that wanted to take my daughter off meds because my daughter (who is taking antipsychotics and antidepressants) said the meds weren't working. ONLY because she said so, and this young woman proceeded to tell me that my daughter is 16 (she's actually 15) and didn't have to take them!! My daughter has actually regressed in the last 2 months as a direct result of these 'treatment professionals' creating false hopes and aiding her delinquency. Suggesting that she should sleep all day as a coping skill instead of suggesting healthier ways...
Im not sure what has happened but IFFI services were wonderful and so was Jessica but her latest therapist and last visit with the nurse left me on the brink of seeking legal counsel...can no longer recommend
**noone from this facility bothered to contact me back and as I listened to my daughter tell dfacs that her therapists NEVER gave her any coping skills they only said that because she's not happy (child suffers from Major Depression Disorder and psychosis) they're goal was to have her removed from the home!! I will be pushing forward with formal complaints and my child will no longer be using this facility

I have just finished using Pathways for the 2nd time. The first time I worked with them they were fantastic and the therapist assigned was very responsive. This time around, they did not have a therapist available in my area (Buford) for several months. They did not communicate with me about when one would be starting and in the meantime they provided a Behavioral therapist.

The issues we had with our boy were getting worse and the staff at Pathways recommended additional sessions over and over, but never followed through on setting them up. We finally got a regular therapist, but it was too late.

I am completely disappointed this time around. Please try to find another company to work with. Pathways is short staffed and doesn't seem to care.

I'm glad I won't need to continue with them. Sorry that we all failed this child.

SHORT VERSION: Disorganized. Unprofessional. No sense of urgency. Absolutely would not recommend.

LONG VERSION: I volunteer as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) for children who have been removed from their homes for substantiated allegations of abuse or neglect. The child I'm currently advocating for was referred to Pathways for individual therapy in September of 2020. After the intake interview, it took 4 full weeks to be assigned to a therapist. During that time, the foster family continued to follow up with Pathways staff, letting them know that they were observing some worrisome behaviors and asking Pathways to be assigned ASAP to implement some support for this traumatized child. It shouldn't take anywhere close to 30 days to choose which staff member will take the case- the delay in care further stressed the foster placement.

The first few sessions were very promising, but that optimism came to a swift halt when the therapist failed to dial-in for a scheduled meeting with the foster mom on a Friday afternoon. Foster mom's followup email bounced back, which perplexed her. She contacted Pathways to inquire about what was going on, but did not hear back. Additional contact attempts on Monday went unresolved. And then the therapist failed to dial-in for the child's weekly therapy session on Tuesday afternoon (therapy is conducted virtually thanks to the pandemic).

Foster mom reached out to her only other contact at Pathways after the second missed appointment on Tuesday. She received an apologetic text that shed no light on what was happening, but offered to meet on Wednesday at 10:30am to explain. As of 10:50, no one from Pathways had dialed into that meeting either. Inexcusable.

I rang alarm bells up the ladder and was ultimately connected to Leigh, Pathway's Clinical Director. She was apologetic, but full of excuses. I stressed the importance of a quick assignment to a new therapist to re-establish care as quickly as possible, but Leigh continued to make excuses about why no one had contacted the foster family to share that they'd fired the therapist. Or why no one had responded with that information when the foster family repeatedly reached out to see what was going on. The solutions she offered moving forward didn't inspire any confidence, and she continued to circle back to deflect responsibility for all of the dropped balls.

If you're an agency that signs up to assist children in trauma, then I hope you'll rise to the occasion and hold yourselves to a high standard when serving this vulnerable population.

I would never bring my eight year old son there anymore. Since he has been seeing his behavior therapist, Kristi, my son has not improved. She did not help me find the support for my son. She did not show or tell me different types of techniques to deal/prevent my son from behavior issues. His behavior therapist called the police on my eight year boy for running up and down the stairs. The police and EMS told her the psychiatric hospital was not going to admit him for running up and down the stairs. She violated HIPAA telling the Police my son s medical history. She over exaggerated to force the police to take him to the hospital. Kristi also went beyond her scope to sign a 1013. The police refused her signature because she did not have the proper credentials to sign a 1013.

These past couple of months, she has been trying to force me to let him get admitted without going through all the proper steps. I took him to the hospital 2 times because she has been hassling me to go. The Psychiatrist told me a locked down facility is not the best fit for my child.

I feel violated as a parent, because she was willing to do whatever to have my child locked down. It hurts to know that the people you trust with your child, really don t have a true passion for it. She did not try to help us, she just wanted him locked away.

I just want to find a good facility that will give my son the right support to help with his behavior. This clinic did not do so at all!!!

They do good work, but Angela and Ruby in the psychiatric department are rude and not flexible in working with clients. Psychiatric department staff need to be more patient and flexible with their clients and take more initiative to explain the structure of appointments to clients instead of bombarding them with confusing directions and relying on clinical team members to explain things ahead of time.
