March 19, 2021 I was up there with my grandmother because she had a stroke. The nurse was doing fine, up until I told her my grandmother muttered out the words, I have to pee. And my nurse Catie got a personal call and answered it while she was trying to tend to my grandmother. She told them, I ll call you back and then proceeded to try to explain to me that she doesn t normally do that and I was a little irked by it, because had she watched someone do that with her family member, it would probably have been a different story. This isn t an awful hospital. But I wouldn t go for anything more than just minor things. Personally, I wouldn t put my life in the hands of the Palestine Regional staff.

My mom had a pretty serious case of covid and this hospital actually allowed me to stay in her room with her. They even had a bed that folds out. Her care was phenomenal! The nurses constantly checked on her and the Techs were always keeping everything in order everyday. I can't even believe the care that she received coming from a smaller town hospital. My dad is in the hospital now with covid in a larger hospital because Palestine was unable to take him in when he needed to be taken in so he's in a larger town hospital and we're unable to be with him and only see him for 15 minutes each day through a glass window. I believe my mom's quicker recovery was due to the fact that I was able to be there with her and help her in Palestine Hospital where as my dad now has to go to outpatient therapy for who knows how many weeks. Palestine Hospital and Staff get a 5 star review from me which isn't easy to obtain. I will definitely use them in the future for any of my emergency or non emergency needs.

I have come to the ER twice with a severe copd flare up. The Drs have been wonder! 95% of the staff is super kind, and understanding.
Im new here and spent 50 yrs in Colorado. I had different experiences at 3 hospitals and didnt know what to expect here.
They've taken good care of me! I Feel very confident about coming here. Wish I felt that way about Primary Care Physicians, not so much at all.

Avoid if possible. Daughters were seen following an auto accident to be checked for minor aches. Recieved two payment information request calls, provided liable insurance information with claim number and stated I would provide Tricare health Insurance information if needed both times (told liable insurance information was all that was needed). Two months later, teenage daughters get first letter from hospital stating lien placed on them..... never recieved a single bill. Not sure who runs billing, but unacceptable communication and processes in place, needs some serious review.
