They have been amazing during this pandemic. Between the virtual classes and the help they provide for any issues, they have been great.

It's a place to go find out about "anything" u have been wanting to know about.

The staff lacks informational knowledge and when it comes to respect Sharon could use an updated course on that. As an educator I'll be using every other library except for this one

Moved to Patchogue over 5 years ago and just never got around to Joining the library. I finally did a month ago. What a beautiful place. Clean, well lit, yet cozy atmosphere, lots of people working there with answers to your questions. Oh and the volume of material is outstanding. The woman who helped me join was fantastic (wish I could remember her name) Very helpful. Had the answer to most of my questions. And the one she didnt, she went and found it for me. So cheerful, and joined me in my happiness to have a library card. (If I could and you had. ..I would nominate her for employer of the month) Wandered around and left with 3 books to read. I saw some posters for the extreme book challenge, yep I signed up. So excited. So I left with 3 new books to read, a snazzy canvas tote, which I use everyday, and a challenge that is beyond fascinating.
My one and only 'why not' - kinda odd moment was when I asked for a map of the library letting me know where things are. Nope no maps. Sooooooo if anyone is reading this..... create some maps! And yes, I'll take one please. :)

Library has a lot of programs..and reading and informative materials..adding
money to get your extra copies..after the first 10 free can be very frustrating..you have to go to the reference desk and add on the extra money..and then back again if you want to save the trips back and forth and need more copies..you cannot put on extra..if you dont use the extra money you cannit get a refund. They need toilet seat covers for their bathrooms since it is open to the public. And they need to make available to the patrons Sani Wipes for the computer key board and mouse..and desk.. I used hand sanitizer from the circulation and reference desk and tissue from the bathroom and wiped the keyboard and mouse and the desk...the tissue was black from the dirt from the desk.. So dirty..

Decent collection of media, very helpful staff. Clean and pleasant atmosphere.

Great sized Library right in the heart of Patchogue village! Came last weekend and it wasn't too packed so plenty of seating

The staff at this Library is EXCELLENT. They have done everything humanly possible to help us all through this pandemic. They are doing everything to keep us safe while in the library. If you do not want to go into the library, and you know what you want, they will do everything, including searching other libraries for the book, dvd, etc that you may be looking for. As far as I am concerned, they kept me and my friends happy and safe during the pandemic. Their help with getting me and my families DVD's and having them ready for me at the desk was amazing.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PATCHOGUE LIBRARY STAFF. We all appreciate you!

This library is so abundant in resources and programs, that it's almost like it's own sovereign village. We pretty much live here and take advantage of all they do. The workers are beyond kind and caring. They truly love what they do.

I hated my experience as a volunteer for Paulette because she treated a teen volunteer Like if she was working and expected too much from girls and no boys.

Every time i show up, my library card has expired...

I was at the library today September 9th 2020 and I had a nice conversation with the elderly security a nice man we spoke about how great the village is and how I observed a few smashed windows as I walk around town silly kids I bet the library is a great place to hang out read play on the computer and just relax I'm very pleased . .

A great library in a beautiful village this time of year its nice to go in cool down relax read watch a movie i spend hours here in the summer also take advantage of all the programs and discounted trips they offer.. And the security does not put up with the trouble makers also visit the history room so much to do and see.. .

I have no problem with the Library itself, but i have a problem with Security. They let any weirdos from the outside in, which I'm okay with if they keep to themselves. But instead, they basically make it a contest to see how annoying they can be... And Security does nothing about it! Bring a sandwich in? They'll yell at you about "no outside food near library material" but let anyone with a phone off with a warning to "not use it" and then go on their merry way throwing the good people out.

Absolutely love the library! The summer reading program has been wonderful for my kids this summer. They look forward to going and reporting each week! Also, the free lunch is fun too! They offer so many awesome programs and incentives for the kids to read. Even my two year old got involved with the summer reading program.. it s never too early to form a love of books!

Great place for CD's for my car. Why pay for them if I can just borrow them for a few weeks and return them

Spent at least a third of my life here over the past two years, and loved it.

The lavish expenditure of tax payer money is obvious. Yet you go to the book stacks, and the majority of the texts are REALLY old. Behind every staff desk? A "civil servant" reading a magazine, or on their cell phone. The few times I've asked for assistance? I get a dirty look in return.

The library was clean and hand sanitizer available everywhere. They take your temperature before going in and reminds you of the rules (masks on the whole time). We were just there for 30 minutes and felt comfortable.

I go to this library at least twice a week it's a nice place to relax read watch movies web surf and in the summer to cool off after walking around town.. Overall a great place for all.
