An unclear menu chart, we had to ask a lot of questions before we were able to order. The hosts are very friendly and helpful so it wasn't too bad. One more remark on the menu: it feels and looks very cheap for the premium restaurant it wants to be. The view of course is stunning and the building it is located in is superb.
We had sushi at multiple places on islamorada and this was by far the best! The luxe and the keysey japanesey rolls were amazing. Danny was an Awesome bartender, very fun and knew a lot about the Japanese whiskey he served us. Thank you for a 5 star experience!!
I really don't want to rate this place then people will start going. Kinda want to keep the keys best sushi all to ourselves! Did I say keys? I meant all of South Florida! We will go to no other sushi place as long as we can get in here. I would deduct a star for the place being closed for weddings from time to time but the place is just to damn good.
This was the best service I have had in a long time. The staff was so friendly and genuine, and were able to recommend some amazing options. Jaime specifically went above and beyond. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you!!!

I'm shocked that this place doesn't have a waiting line. Limited menu, but great food. Our server Christopher was fantastic! I'm not a big desert fan, but my wife and I had the fried ice cream by Christopher's recommendation. I'm now a big desert fan! It was unbelievable!

Chef was very professional. Sushi was fresh and expertly created. Good size menu so try several. Try an appetizer while waiting for your meal. Nice comfortable room. Fantastic view. Staff was exceptional. Worth tracking down.

Food was delicious, a bit pricey but if you are not on a budget then you can try this place. Now just because the quality of the food I'm not giving this place less stars. When we got there the waiter was reluclant to sit us even though the place was empty and then when we finally were able to order it took them almost an hour to serve our 2 rolls. For us the food wasn't worth the trouble.
Lets start by saying the staff was impeccable. Not one single complain about them.
Now on to the food. We ordered a 27 dollar robata grill steak which was frozen chunks of old steak reheated onto a skewer.
We confirmed that they do NOT own a robata grill and all robata items on the menu are cooked, frozen then served reheated which was clear when we tasted the mealy and defrosted texture.
They should not lie about having a robata grill. They should not charge 27 dollars for such a mediocre dish and they were overall overpriced for everything.
Amazing. Balcony seating with live music below was superb end of the day.

I am SO disappointed by our experience here. We have been here almost 2 hours and have received edamame and beef skewers (that came out cold and were supposed to be warm) - we ordered 9 pieces of sashimi and 2 rolls - nowhere in site.
Our server has been fantastic, and I feel terrible for her. There are 5 tables that all sat down around the same time, and we are all still waiting.
Note: we had an 8:45 reservation and it s now 10:30 and we still haven t seen our sushi.
Skip this place all together. Save yourself. The sushi roll we ordered was not good. It was mush. No flavor, and the tempura on it was soggy. Something was off about the rice as well. The ramen was okay.. and I mean just okay. But it was plated AWFUL... like a giant shallow plate. The only thing we liked about the experience was the staff. Our waitress was very nice. We will not be eating at the resort for the remainder of our stay. The resort is very nice, but their restaurant could be much more.

This place was horrible. We ordered drinks and it took 35 minutes to get them. We ordered appetizers and it took 45 minutes. Food was average at best. They tried to overcharge us and added their own tip. Audacity for such a low low level of service and food quality. Not to mention way overpriced. So many other great options in Islamorada for great food. We would never go back to the Cheeca.
Had dinner here on Christmas Eve while staying at the Cheeca. It's first come first serve seating and there was an hour and a half wait when we went. We gave our cell phone number and they would call us when seating was available and that ended up being in just under 45 minutes. Service was outstanding and the sushi chefs were true artist....The sushi was incredible!!! Prices where what you would expect from a good sushi place. If you are a sushi lover, you should not pass this one up.

Five stars. I came here from key west, didnt have a reservation or room. This place is on point. Also the server Alisa was amazing.
