Our go to place in half Moon Bay. Really good pasta

I love pasta moon, it is a very romantic place with California Cuisine inspired Italian dishes, expect to pay at least $20 - $30 a plate if you order no drinks. Candlelight , wonderful food, cozy yet airy & open.

Get the lasagna! They have a lot of good options, but the lasagna really made our night. Top that off with friendly, attentive, timely service and a killer chocolate sorbet and you get a great dining experience!

The food was fine but the service was terrible. The server was friendly enough but we did not get our dishes for over an hour. The three other tables being served by a different server with 2, 4, and 6 people all got their orders and were done before our table of 8.

If you are spending any time in half Moon Bay you need to stop at pasta moon. Make a reservation and plan on a wonderful meal in a beautiful restaurant.

Second or third time here, hasn t disappointed yet. Our meals came out promptly; fantastic service; solid wine list; delicious food. I had my mind made up for dinner until I heard the specials and it was well worth it.

Jose is an excellent waiter! Our whole experience from the hostess greeting to our delicious dinner and service by Jose was exceptional. We recommend this place. It's an absolute must!

The service is wonderful even when busy. I love their cocktails and wine selection. Both the set menu and the specials never disappoint. To top it all off, the butterscotch pudding is divine!

Very stuffy, extremely poorly ventilated and no A/C. Not comfortable at all even though outside is extremely nice.

We called, 7 in all and asked for reservations 1/2 hour before arriving. WOW! We ended up with a room of our own. Our waiter was charming and knowageable of the menu. We almost all had something different. Everyone was happy with what they had ordered. Service was wonderful. Will go again, soon!

Lobster linguini was excellent!! Marscapone cheesecake delicious! Definitely eat here again!!

Nice restaurant. Too little serving for the price you pay. Food was tasty. My friends food was cold when she took a bite in it.

Dinner was simply amazing, we had children and they were served dinner quickly and they loved it. If you miss this restaurant you have missed an amazing Italian menu with local fare. Cocktails and wine list very good.

Service and food were excellent. They only bad thing was that they did not have a lot of wines and spirits listed on the menu but given the conditions it was a minor issue.

We enjoyed the lasagna and cesar salad. The lasagna was amazing. The cesar was pretty disappointing: very oily, sad parmasean, and no fresh cracked pepper. The staff was nice and doing a good job, particularly with covid precautions.

Amazing! Drool-worthy, homemade pasta! Wow. And we split a pizza to start!! Ambiance is perfect and great for a romantic date or a family outting. I brought my mom who was visiting and we had an excellent time and left with full happy bellies!!

This place was very warm and welcoming. Such a nice style and decor. We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch and it didn't disappoint. We loved their homemade pasta.

Food was good, but not incredible. Grossly overpriced. We ordered 3 items. The butternut squash ravioli which was an extremely small portion and the ravioli was flat, not so stuffed. Ribeye steak which was good, but average and ridiculously expensive and lasagna, which was also good and decent portion. By the way, the waiter told my wife the ribeye steak was on special, but it was a $52 steak. I can get filet mignon at an actual steakhouse for less than that. Beer and mixed drink selections were not palatable. Lasagna was the only dish worth it.

We had two pizzas there, and I am thinking that they are not known for that type of dish. Specifically, the tomato sauce they used tasted low quality, and thus the overall taste of both dishes was bland at best, and similar to store-bought at worst. For $60 (including tip) for two pizzas this was a disappointingly expensive dinner. Service was great, however!

Amazin. I am obsessed with the tuna pasta at this place, and the pizzas, wine selectiin, and desserts are all great. Have never had a bad meal here.

This place has been one of my favorite restaurants for YEARS, every time I visit HLB I HAVE to go there. But this last time I was so disapointed, they did a remodel and made the place WORSE! The service was fine and the food was still good, but the remodel seemed super cheap and unfinished, which made me sad. Could've done so much better!

Good enough food. Great bread. The male server was not great tbough: only ok. I wish I had not tipped at 20%. I will try a different restaurant next time though. Service is key in the restaurant business.

Decent food, friendly server, but the wait was excruciating. Our server did not address it and since dining with friends we also did not make a fuss. For as long as it took I would have imagined an offer for a complimentary taste of something or wave our (mom alcoholic drinks)... Some gesture.

The place is very nice, different from a regular restaurant. It's already a full house around dinner time. Would definitely recommend making a reservation before coming in. The food is really good and service is adequate. Probably would come back again.

Every dish, salad and dessert our party tried was unique and delicious. Setting and service was also great. It was nice that Owner came to our table to discuss sourcing and recipe choices.

We walked in in shorts and were definitely under dressed. This is a fancy place, but the service was still great. Butternut ravioli and ahi linguine were fantastic. Too bad we were too full for dessert because I heard it's great too.

This place is beautiful!!!!!! Definitely one of the top Italian restaurants I have been to (and I've been to a lot). They also have the rare Lurisia sparkling water that is so hard to get normally and it was just amazing Overall great atmosphere and great food along with great service. Thank you Pablo!

I had contacted Pasta Moon, as I was planning dinner for a special occasion.. Based on the reviews I had high expectations, as I only wanted the best for my special someone..My expectations were surpassed!! What a memorable meal and experience.. Thank you Pasta Moon for making our evening extra special.. The food and service were exceptional

Amazing atmosphere, owners are very acomadadting , and food as fresh as we have ever had! Usually don't order pasta but here it was fresh and very invaded.

Great contemporary Italian style cooking. Cycling menu helps to keep it interesting. Awesome creative house mixed drinks and last but not least oh my God the desserts! Love it. Just be sure to make reservations and arrive early to find parking.

We went for lunch. The service was good and the food was wonderful. I had the pasta with crab in a light cream sauce. My lunch mates had the wild mushroom with pasta and goat cheese. Everyone enjoyed their food and the desserts were delicious. We will definitely go back.

The service was great, and the dessert was memorable. The semolina and rhubarb was a particularly interesting mix of flavors. I found the dishes and drinks entirely satisfactory, and was delighted with the waitstaff. I also enjoyed the appropriately lit, laid back yet romantic atmosphere.

Any time we are in the San Francisco area, we make time for Pasta Moon. The lasagna is some of the best we've had and the butternut squash ravioli is wonderful!!
