Dr. Bekker is positive and to the point. I have been seeing her for 1 1/2 years now, and I have been satisfied with how she has worked with me as a psychiatrist.
Dr. Bekker is kind and considerate, and highly efficient without being a "pill-pusher." She takes time to understand your concerns, and starts you off slowly.
Dr. Bekker was amazing! Truly thoughtful, attentive and informative. She offered gentle and helpful guidance. She picked up immediately on various nuances of my situation. I felt she genuinely cared and is an expert in her field. I recommend her fully.
The office was very unhelpful in scheduling an appointment. It took almost 15 emails to finally even get the forms to fill out for requesting an appointment. I offered to pay out of pocket, or with one of two possible insurances, and was told that they will not schedule an appointment until my new insurance kicks in, even if I pay out of pocket or self-pay. The staff was VERY unhelpful and did not seem to care about taking me on as a patient. Very disappointed, especially after I was so hopeful after reading so many good reviews.
Dr. Bekker is extremely knowledgeable and goes out of her way to help her patients find the best treatment for them. Been very fortunate to find her and recommend her for anyone seeking help!

I ve worked with quite a few psychiatrists in the past, and I m surprised to find so many positive reviews... I feel that she just phones it in, and rushed! I always feel rushed wish I meet with her. When we meet I feel like she sees me as a statistic, an idea, a patient not a person and like she is not really there to help me, but just to collect a paycheck. Maybe it s because I ve worked with other psychiatrists in the past, but she didn t seem particularly insightful. She s nice, but I never leave a season feeling like I ve a heard, or even seen. Maybe she is different with different people, maybe if you pay her out of pocket she will make space for you. I definitely would not recommend her to anyone really needing help. You want to meet with someone once a month to complain about your first world problems though, then she s the one for you.
