Didn't look like much but we were happy. Friendly staff. Buffalo burger was delicious. I was happy to see the menu has a vegetarian and a vegan option. Huckleberry pie was a real treat!

A Costco fueled shadow of its past owners. I assume it's been sold on because any owner that prided themselves on the simple and tasty food a few years ago could never be happy with this. Microwaved Pizza Pockets would be better.

The service was good. The food was oh-KAY. The nachos ($13) weren t worth the money. Chips with melted cheese and frozen chicken tenders on it. The queso was alright. The going to the sun burger ($14) was good! Over all, it wasn t worth the price though.

Was very disappointed with this place. I had the bison chili which was very thin and had a poor taste. The huckleberry pie wasn t as good as any of the other places where we had pie. My guess is that the pie was not homemade like it was at the other restaurants we visited. Our waiter was nice enough but that s the only positive.

The breakfast of eggs and French toast was great, the coffee strong and flavorful and the service quick and pleasant. Got huckleberry pie to go and enjoyed it on a trail. Don t pay attention to the bad reviews, we highly recommend it.

I love getting back to this little lunch shop! Great sandwiches, good desserts. Sure the prices aren't rock bottom--you're in the middle of nowhere in the way to Canada, basically.

This is a great find along the way to Many Glacier.

REALLY EXPENSIVE! $4 up charge for switching your $13 burger to bison and $2 up charge for switching chips to fries or potato salad. Which they don't give you enough of either to justify the substitute. I also got sick fairly quickly after eating here. I wasn't sure it was from the food, which tasted ok, however after reading some of the more recent reviews I'm not so sure. If your in St. Mary's I'd save my money and my stomach and try to find some other place to eat.

This place is very expensive, and the service and food quality is sub par. It took 35 minutes for them to make a 2 salads and a chicken sandwich. The salads are dry and poorly put together. The fries look extremely undercooked and were mushy. I m not sure how breakfast is since we got there at 11:35, but I would avoid this place, and-less you have no other option.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food one of us got was really good (pancakes, eggs, hash, bacon, toast) and the other one was not good (eggs and 'steak', hash, toast). They had large portions which was great after a long hiking day. I wouldn't consider this the cleanest place to eat but we didn't have any issues to mention. My only warning is to NOT use the bathrooms here as it was an outhouse.

High price for tiny and not tasty food, we waited like 20 min for our food and after we got the food the waitress kept on disrupting us like every 5 min, I haven't had a bite of the side the waitress asked if she can take my plate away. My husband only had two bites of the wrap the waitress asked do we want a box to take away. Can we just have some privacy and leave us alone? We tried to finish as fast as we can, and plus, I felt sick after eating the bison burger.

Mediocre food at best. Prices were exceptionally expensive for the low quality of the food. The restaurant was grimy and tables had not been cleared from breakfast (it was 5 pm) with melted butter and hot coffee creamer on the table. Our waitress was friendly enough but for how slow it was, could have provided better hospitality. The one saving grace was the overpriced pie- Griz berry pie. Unfortunately they strangely were out of all the other flavors despite being known for their pies. Sad to see a once delicious local restaurant turn into a depressing and low quality place. I would not recommend going here again.

Myself, my wife and my parents stopped here to get an early lunch, the menu looked good, and home made pies and milkshakes appealed to us. We were seated on the deck outside, and placed our order. The waitress was inattentive and didn't take our order accurately, we were brought an extra drink which we didn't order, my wife has wheat and lactose allergies and we explained this to her, then double checked before the order arrived that there wouldn't be any cheese on her meal, the meal arrived with cheese on it !!!! we explained the issue once again and the meal was taken to be remade, when it was brought back out ,after enough time for the rest of us to have finished our meals, the meat was practically raw in the centre and the salad etc still had cheese stuck to it !!! when my father complained to the "manager" he was told they would gladly remake the meal, but by then we were fed up with the place and my wife had lost her appetite after biting into an uncooked piece of meat. This was the only offer made to us, so we asked for the bill. In fact when the bill came the waitress informed us they weren't charging us for the meal my wife had been unable to eat !!! We were on the last day of our vacation to the Glacier area, and prior to this had had nothing but fantastic service and food, what a shame and a disappointment on our final meal to have this experience. All this said the berry pie my mother had was good and the milkshake I had was very good, the service however was terrible, and the rest of our meal was at best mediocre.

Delicious! I got advised to swing by Park Cafe by a local in Many Glacier! My wife had the Curly bear fish and chips and I had a bison burger with French fries! Also both of us had a slice of huckleberry pie and it was so delicious. We will be stopping by when we come back through!

ughhhhh!!! If you value your families health, eat anywhere else. The people that own and operate this establishment are deceptive and could care less about you. They want the money in your wallet. Food sucks, Better off eating a Hot Pocket, seriously!! , everything is highly overpriced. Check across or down the road for a few places that value the tourism and care about quality and integrity. Stay away from ParkCafe. Also, no longer known for pie. 80 percent is not homemade,
This place should be inspected by a sanitarian, you be the judge

Servers were inattentive. Had to Order coffee 3 times. Breakfast was edible. Bacon was hard and stale. Sausage was bland, ham was sandwich ham, not breakfast ham. There was apparent tension between the two servers and the cooks.
Dont waste your money.

Good food, the by was pretty good and had a little bear on it. The server was really friendly and helpful. The prices were quite high, but it s next to a national park with little else around, so it s to be expected. If you re on this side of the park, it s worth a stop.

This is not the same place it was the last time I visited Glacier. Waitress took forever to take our order, food sat at counter for 10 minutes before it was brought to our table. We had to ask for utensils and drink refills. Waitress asked about our pie order twice and still got it wrong. Sad to say I will not be going back.

Everything we ordered was mediocre. Huckleberry lemonade seemed made from a mix. As I now see another reviewer has mentioned, the nachos (overly salty chips with patches of partially melted cheese and chicken tenders) were a bad choice. We passed on the pie because we were disappointed by everything else. Our server was friendly!

We thought that the park cafe would be a good place to eat so we went there. When we got there they took an hour to seat us, then after another hour we got our food which was horrible. Apparently they also thought utensils were optional. so we had to ask for a fork and knife. finally we ordered pie for dessert and they were out of almost everything. anyone who is not willing to wait for 2 hours might like it. I would strongly disagree with anybody who likes this restaurant

Pretty good little diner. The food isn't anything amazing but after you've been backpacking for several days it's nice to have a good meal. Service isn't super fast so wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry.

If you want a good laugh order chicken with the Caesar salad and see what your $4 extra gets you. Literally one tiny chicken finger cut into 8 pieces. This place has changed since the last time I was there and it now feels like a giant rip off. Avoid.

If you do the Going to the Sun Road West to East, turn left out of the park when you are done and pull over on the left at the Park Cafe.

The pie is simply outstanding. I had the huckleberry blueberry, and loved it so much I had to take a pecan pie slice to go, to try later. It was equally fantastic. If you love great pie, you simply have to go to the Park Cafe.

FYI, they have a full menu other than pie, as well.

We walked in and there was a sign that two cooks were needed. That should have been our first warning. The second warning was the general cleanliness of the place. Bison burger was overcooked. Nachos had canned cheese and looked nastier than movie theater nachos. It is difficult for me to believe that this restaurant could pass a health inspection. On a positive note, the waitress was nice even though she got our bill wrong twice.

Food was good, everything else was less than par. Hours are listed wrong, as they didn t open up until 8:10 (it says 7:30). Coffee was not the best, as well as their service. I didn t get the fruit in my order until we were leaving. Just kind of strange, maybe bc we got there right when it opened.?

Pass.

Pass.

Burnt cheese sandwich: $5.99. Cup of tomato basil soup - the consistency of cheap whipped avocado dip - $4.99. Complete lack of attentiveness to quality and customer expectations: priceless.

Head north to Two Sister s Cafe. Much better choice there.

Ended up eating here after experiencing bad service at Johnson's and found our new favorite place to eat in St Mary's. The food is great and we enjoyed the friendly service. Highly recommend for a good pre or post hike meal. Also, their huckleberry pie is a must get!

Came in for food at 10:30, could only get breakfast. Our food came out after 11, and about three minutes later people who got to order lunch got their meals. We all got some version of eggs/meat/hash browns/toast.
My over easy eggs weren't cooked. The hash browns we're simultaneously under and over cooked - and had no flavor to them. The toast wasn't toasted - it was warm bread, no butter. The "ham steak" was actually 2-3 pieces of lunch meat ham.

Overheard another waitress say they were out of all pies except for 2-3 slices of apple and mixed berry.

Overall, underwhelmed

The service was just okay, however it is very small and should be much better. The food was the horrible. Fish tacos were made of tortilla, smoked salmon (tasted like canned) and a piece lettuce. We also got the fish and chips and burger, just ok, and lastly a salad, which came out 10 mins after the other 3 meals No one received silverware....ever. We left without my husband touching his salad as everyone was done eating (fish with my fingers) and we still didn't have silver even though we asked for some. Anywhereis better. Oh by the way, the pie they advertise outside and list 10 kinds on menu.....nope. Do not have pie today....

Really friendly staff, good music, mediocre food. We had burned pancakes. Pancakes aren't difficult. We were in a rush, otherwise I would have told the staff. I don't expect big city service out here in the middle of northern Montana, but this place has the potential to be a real gem. Unfortunately my visit didn't live up.

If you go here strictly to eat pie BRING YOUR WALLET. We had purchased 6 slices of pie with ice cream and our bill was 96.00!! They charged us an automatic 20% onto our bill. We had two separate tables with a total of 7 people. The service wasn't great. The waitress wasn't friendly, was overly busy. I don't think any pie is worth 100$. I suggest you bring lube because they rape you with such outrageous prices. Have the decency to display your prices and leave it up to the customer to leave a tip. I will never recommend or come here again.

Absolutely the worst restaurant ever, the cook was right out of a movie called "slangin hash and smoking"...i'm pretty sure some ash got into the food....the cook and crew were all greasy and sweaty, with stained shirts and jeans....and the waitresses were fist fighting over a guy from the previous night...one had a black eye,and cried while taking our order....then our car was robbed by some rednecks while we ate....avoid...!!!

Well it's too bad this nice little cafe has gone downhill so fast after new management. We eat here several times every summer, but no more after our last visit. The whole place looked untidy and rundown....it seemed like every napkin holder was empty and the catsup/mustard bottles looked dirty. I had to ask for a straw for my ice tea,and had to ask for utensils. Our food was sitting for over 5 minutes after it was done because the waitress had to help another table that came in AFTER our order was up. The cafe wasnt even that busy and only one other family was eating. I ordered a steak medium well and sent it back because it was barely cooked on the inside. I refused the meal and we only paid for one meal of the two ordered.

Don t listen to all the bad reviews. They re just picky tourists who are used to being spoiled with plenty of food places. It s next to a national park with absolutely no internet or cellular connectivity, so cut it some slack, please.
We stayed at the KOA right next to it and came to Park Cafe four times, and two in one day. There isn t much else in the area, and considering that, it is not a bad place. Not to mention the service. Everyone in there is incredibly kind Is their food the best? No. Is it the worst? Absolutely not.
Please try Park cafe before judging it by a couple of spoiled tourists. Besides, who eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning?

Excellent sandwich and excellent Huckleberry Pie. We just ate there in the first week of Aug. 2014. Place was jammed but we were there on time. A little attention is required to utensil, though. The staff rush it due to the number of guests.
I don't know what this fool, Jeremiah Oetting, is talking about. Sounds like he smokes too much weed. Just ignore him and other similar thoughtless people.
