This was SO much fun!! My favorite rides were the banshee and the beast! I strongly suggest family's go here for family bonding! Just know that it is ALOT of WALKING! One of the best (if not the best) theme parks I have ever went to! Most importantly don't forget to have FUN!! My least favorite thing about this park is that the ride lines are sorta long...that's the worst part of it all. Have FUN!
It's your average theme park. You get what you'd expect, including loooooooong lines for every ride.

Normally a great place, today it was awful. There was a threat of rain at about 5:30 and they closed everything. The rain went away and they re-opened the sky flier and sling shot attractions. Funny how it was safe enough to run rides that bring in extra income ($15 per rider) but not for the rides that we PAID to get in and ride. Staff was discurteous and would not answer any questions about anything. Tried to get a pretzel on the way out and even that was a hassle with no line, just an all around very poor experience.
A staple of Cincinnati and a great place to have fun. Must see for any theme park enthusiast.
A little pricey but overall a nice family get away for the day.

fun ride, good food, lot of food selection,but food is high priced, game (pay first),water park too, rides are free, lines long but worth it, can get prizes, game rooms ,roller coasters ,parking is priced unless you get a gold pass

I've been away living in Alaska for twenty five years and one of the places I want to go to the most when I got back was Kings island ! A lot has changed when I was gone but I still loved it and I recommend the gold pass and getting a meal and drink add on to your gold pass it will pay for itself and you can chose from a lot of places in the park to eat every four hours and with the drink you can get one every half hour I think

Had a great time. The lights were beautiful. There were enough rides open to keep our 3 year old entertained. The food is quite expensive, just a warning: 2 pizza slices w breadsticks, and soda for $14, ouch.

My family loved our visit to KI this summer! Not overly crouded with an unrealized threat of rain, we had a great time riding rides with no lines and it was still hot enough to really enjoy the water park. We will definitely be back but I couldn't give a full 5 stars just based on the cost to get in. Quite pricey if you buy the full price tickets. Pay the extra $10 to park closer but don't waste your money on the fast pass tickets unless you're going on a crazy busy day.
If you love wooden coasters, this is the place for you!
I always have a great time here. They keep the rides in good shape. The rollercoasters are fast and fun and they are always adding new rides. Their Halloween Haunt is a ton of fun if you like haunted houses. The only down side is how expensive everything is, which includes the food, drinks, souvenirs, etc. A regular bottle of pop goes for nearly five dollars, so pack a lunch.
Too many rides were out of service. Had a pkg for food, rides and drinks but disappointed in the ride availability!

Great place for exhilarating rides. I rode the mystic timber ride but after that I didn't want to wait another 2 hours just to get on another roller coaster. I rode other rides but few coasters the wait times were just ridiculous but I must admit they did have fans that blew water while you waited. My advice go on a cloudy low temp day and you should be fine. The food was and employees were ok.

Really fun but everything is completely over priced. We went on dollar day and felt completely ripped off considering they should have given more with their deal.

Rides could use some cosmetic updates. Some of the features of rides no longer work. Fortunately, under new ownership I would image Kings Island to return to its former glory.
What to say, greatest valuable entertainment in town
Always a blast. We only went one time this season, so we purchased the passes. Super spoiled now. I can't imagine standing in line ever again.

My husband and I take our 9 kids there and each of them take a friend every July 4th for our family vacation. So every year we bring about 18 people with us. We always have so much fun and with so many kids, Kings Island has a variety for everyone. The 2 day pass is so worth it! My kids do not even seem to fight as much while there. We have a blast and always leave with wonderful memories! Thank you Kings Island for giving our family a place to come back to every year and making it affordable!

My only complaint is that the owners of the park needed to reconsider the policy for disallowing patrons to take their shoes that have no backs off when riding the rides. Although I did not lose my flip-flops when I rode the Diamondback, it was completely unfair that I couldn't take them off for the duration of the ride. Since that ride is more open and the feet are not secure, the risk of losing your shoes is much greater. I did not enjoy the ride at all. I spent more time trying to make sure my shoes stayed on than paying attention the the ride itself. Needless to say, if I lost a shoe, someone at that park was going to buy a new pair for me because that was the shoes I had with me. I had no money to purchase a new pair. People come to these parks to have fun, and should not have to worry about losing their stuff when they ride the rides. I will not ride Diamondback again, for this reason alone.
I've been going since they opened in '72! This last time I got overheated and had to visit first aid. The care I got there was amazing!!!
It's a huge park so be ready to walk for quite a bit. Remember to stay hydrated between rides. It's best to have your backpacks etc in a locker as most of the rides don't allow them and/or don't have storage areas next to the rides. All the rollercoasters were great! Overall, an awesome experience! Hope to be back soon.

I'm a fanatic theme park geek, and this park really pass all my expectations for far! Very clean park , good food ( pricey like all theme parks)with amazing rollercoasters and fun rides for all ages! The snoopy world is one of a kind for the little ones and the roller coasters are some insane and amazing!This park rides are good quality side by side to Orlando parks. If you are on this Ohio area dont miss it ! Is worth it!
Always fun. Not very busy today either. Most of the lines were about 20 minutes long.

Don't expect much from food service (poor service commercialized, and not kept very clean). Otherwise park is fun.
It had been years since I have been to Kings island. This trip we took the kids so this isn't relating to any of the bigger rides. The kids section was pretty busy but it was Saturday. Despite the crowds, we were able to get onto rides pretty quickly. I didn't like that they don't post wait times in from of rides anymore. Instead they make you download their app AND create an account in order to see wait times for rides. The posted wait times however were always way longer than it actually took in line which was a plus.
All in all, it is a great place to take kids. Seems like they have more to do for kiddos than Cedar Point.
Very nice amusement park. Friendly, clean, with a good selection of food and coasters. The only negative would be the Kings Island app was acting up and we had a hard time finding where certain rides were at. But overall a really great experience and am looking forward to coming back many times.

Needs more workers in food locations. If a resturant is going to close out it on the app, or re open as soon as possible.
I know staff is hard to come by but you need it on weekends during the early season when you have more guests.
My family has been going to KI since I was a child and it s one of our favorite places to visit! My whole family planned to attend in October for my 3YO son s first trip. I reached out to KI via email about mask exceptions for people with special needs who aren t able to wear one for long periods of time (my son has SPD which makes mask wearing very difficult). The rep I spoke with lacked empathy with her responses to my questions. I understand there are rules and I also understand that tone can be difficult to read via email, but this exchange was less than ideal. I m super disappointed.

After going there atleast 100 times in the past 4 years that I've gotten a gold pass, I have NEVER had one complaint, if you are going to an amusement park and not expecting waits and for stuff to be expensive, you probably shouldn't go to an amusement park.

Super fun and something to do for everyone! Word of warning however, if you are a larger person, (I'm a size 2x/22 for reference) you may not be able to ride all of the rides, so be prepared for that. Food an drinks are expensive in the park, $15 a person for a meal $5 for a drink so bring extra cash.
Great family park, there are many family rides as well as thrill rides throughout the park. There are many food options and shows wherever you go and you will always be able to find something you like.
