Great America is literally the best place ever. I love it so much and it is so much fun when I can just go out with a couple of my friends and spend the day their riding all the thrilling roller coasters. I am 13 and this is probably my first choice when it comes to amusement parks. The food there is mediocre, nothing special, but it doesn't matter because everything else is amazing.

Food was very expensive was not worth it ...bring an ice chest and get your hand stamped,save a bundle!
They didn't ship my sports catologe and me and many other people had water damage and normal damage
I go every year for Halloween haunt,it's ok but I only go to see night walkers perform and to ride gold striker I believe that's the only ride that it's good as far as rides,the mazes for Halloween are cool.
Lots of fun. Expensive to eat in the park but the food is good. The gold striker is amazing. The rail Blazer is fun but definitely a different experience sitting in the front then the back. Riding in the back is a smooth ride fun and fast but in the front I literally came off of my seat 3 times during the ride and slammed down so hard it hurt my back. Be careful.
The park is so much better at night because of the lights it looks amazing

If you're looking for an amusement park to fill your day, it has enough attractions to do just that. Rides for the little tikes and rollercoaster for the bigger ones. It even has a decent water park (a very nice thing in the Summer) to provide a change of pace. I wish the had better food options though. Additionally, the extreme rides are decent, but not at the caliber of Magic Mountain, Cedar Point (Great America's parent company) or some of the other larger Six Flags parks (Counting Magic Mountain).
I came on a monday and practicly walked on to every ride! All of the rides are so fun, and the staff is awesome too! I loved it, 5 star recommend!

I recommend to plan to go in June before the school end of year and buying your ticket online. Fortunately I wasn't a full sunny day so we started in the morning with the roller coaters and did the second part of the day in water park.
Family Friendly Place.. Would Recommend buy Tickets in Groupon and Parking ticket on their site. Enough Restrooms too available inside park. But only draw back is no shady place to escape sudden rain showers. With Strollers and old people v need to suffer and run a lot to find a roof to stand under.
The only good about this place is price compare to Disneyland... That's about it.
Great America is perfect for all ages. Boomerang bay added a hole new fun factor!

I came here for a company event. The company paid for catering. The food was adequate and in abundance, but you only get the place for so long and they pack up quick. Get here early or on time to enjoy all the offerings of the buffet. The park had plenty of entertainment for kids - from toddlers to young adults (and even older adults). The Charlie Brown show was so much fun! The rides were fun. The carnival style games were fun. The only con - the ride that takes you across the park in the air broke with my friends on it. They waited for about 30 minutes midair, so that threw a wrench in our plans as we had to wait on them to meet up with us.
The day I came it was in the low 80s, which was perfect weather. Be sure to have layers of clothes for when it turns night and even have an extra pair of clothes if you don't want to walk around wet from either going on the water rides or running through the water park (there is a slight upcharge for the park).
Multiple rides weren't working.. which was disappointing , but everything else is pretty awesome
The rides were fun, honestly really great trip, but everything is just so overpriced. Literally 2 slices of pizza cost $15 and a coke from the vending machines were $4. Don't come unprepared to spend less than $30 after entering. Also if you want somewhere to get some food, I recommend their diner, large trays of fries and delicious burgers .
It was fun trip! The last t I'll me I went there I was around 8 or 9. Before, my brother was born!
I'm 44 and been going all my life. Love this place.
Ghetto as hell. Security has no idea what they are doing. We went to Haunt last night. What a real nightmare, not in a good way. Punk kids stealing phones and fighting people, while security was nowhere to be found. I did see one guy and tried to tell him something was going down, he just said "yeah" and walked away.
Understaffed and not a safe place to have fun!
It's ok. Definitely entertaining for children, the water park is fun for kiddos and it wasn't overcrowded for Memorial Day weekend. Still unsure if I would go back.
Can you say EXPENSIVE....but what can you expect when you go to have a good time! --- TIP: DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS AT THE TICKET BOOTH!!!! PURCHASE ONLINE ---- I PAYED $35 ONLINE AND THEY WERE ASKING $56 AT THE TICKET BOOTH!!!. ALSO Parking is a nightmare and u have to pay.... Ubering is way better just about the same as paying for parking but no hassle.... If you or your kids are rollercoaster/Ride fanatic buy the fast track which is $45 each but worth not waiting inline for each ride or attraction....you can cover more ground in less time!!!! Be prepared to spend GAZILLLION Dollars....But so totally worth it!!!!
Great rides, long lines, I was not aware of any shows. Prices on the high end.

Overpriced everything, meh quality food. Normal theme park stuff. Fun rides, fun performances, especially on holiday events.
Great place to take the kids. A couple of attractions were removed. The log ride, snoopies water play park, as well as the swinging ship to be exact. They're also in the middle of building a single rider roller coaster. Another thing we noticed was an update on the parks food selection and beer. The fish and chips were really good.

I liked that there were many rides of all intensities. One that I hadnt seen before was the hawk flight. Also loved the 4d movie of Mass Effect, very fun and beautifully crafted.
Park was decorated with many American colors and visuals, very fun for someone who's originally not from here.
For little children, theres a Peanuts section that is pretty cute.
There are several canteens and some familiar chains like panda Express and subway.
It was okay, younger kids 5-12 will enjoy Snoopy. Food was the same throughout, wished there were some upscale foods available. I went a little early and I'm sure that all rides will be open by then. Drawaback...get ready for the lines if you wactually want to ride the big rides.
Ride are great.Especially Flight deck and Gold Miner. Sadly, one of my favorites Drop tower was closed.
California has a lot of great theme parks. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. If you live in the south bay, I imagine it's convenient. If you're traveling from outside the area, you should probably choose Six Flags or Disneyland. The price is comparable, but the rides here are a let down and the wait-times are long.
I went to the park during Halloween weekend and forgot to write a review. Honestly the night myself and my girlfriend went was terrible, it took an hour to get into the park after spending an hour in traffic to get in and park. Once we finally got inside there was way too many people and the park was so dimly lit we could barely see anything or find a bathroom and there was kids running around everywhere, the decorations were cool and the actors were fun but overall the place seemed very unorganized and we felt uncomfortable and left, turns out the next day people were getting hit with tasers and mugged inside the park! Talk about safe! I ll never go back!
Great time with the kids. And Snoopy's there no brainer! Can't wait to see the christmas winter fest. Loved the Halloween horror nights .
Best place in the bay fun for all ages wear shoes comfortable or your feet will be hurting after it closes you walk for hrs but it's so fun you don't realize untill it closes Monday and Tuesdays best time because it's not as crowded
Good place to spend a day with family , if interested in specific rides a gold pass is advisable the ride wait times can be really high , wait times can be seen on the great America app too
The lines weren't too long or slow. The rides are still thrilling and I love using the dining plan!!

We bought season passes here two consecutive years and got a great deal out of it. If you live near by, be sure to get the food pass because it'll end up saving you a ton. I spent $90 for the all season food pass and used it over 50 times! (2 times per visit)
Long lines, short ride time, not very clean the shop in the front had a sticky floor the entire day and all they did was put up a wet floor sign. The food is outrageously priced and they don't allow outside food/snacks inside the park. Not at all worth the price for smaller kids.
Got there at 9am. Went on all the main rides twice. Done before noon.
Has changed a lot from when I was younger. Not for the good.
