Great shop with all the you need and highly trained staff.

I come here mainly for backpacks but they have a great variety (I have bought everything from prescription goggles to handballs here). The staff balances letting me test-out packs and aiding in the process, which I appreciate.

Paragon Sports had everything i needed for a trip to almost everywhere i have been. It is a great Outdoor shop for New York City.

Paragon Sports Co., LLC offered an odd selection of staffing. Some employees were cheerful and welcoming, and yet others were extremely offensive, curt, and downright rude with no provocation. It is unclear whether the woman in the bra section was racist, but assumptions aside, she was icy and unhelpful in multiple interactions with my two friends and me. Another woman working the floor in the Canada Goose section was abrasive as well. She clearly wanted to get out of work to smoke a cigarette, as we saw her darting away from the store with a lit cigarette just minutes after our interaction with her. Who in their right mind would want to support a shop with such loose cannons on the floor? I'll spend my money elsewhere, and so will my friends.

Place is great if you want to go in and review something for an online purchase... Like if you want to see the new model of bags/bikes/blades/etc coming out.

But far too expensive to actually buy from them. You can find online retailers that charge so much lower than this store.

Still, a good place in the middle of the busiest city in the world to do some window shopping.

It can get very crowded here and it s tough to get an associates attention, but the prices are on par with other stores including online.

Nice small town service feel. Ask for a Veterans discount if applicable. They gave me one.

I love Paragon, they carry everything. BTW, for those of you complaining about a bargain, there's a way to get that. If the product you want is available online for a better price from another store or an official amazon store, like say Wilson's amazon store, Paragon will match the price. I go to them for Tennis and Squash specifically so my experiences have been limited to those two sections. I think they have a great selection and while prices are high, I just always find a better deal and make them match it.

I nearly gave the store a miss as I thought it would only be for serious equipment, but this store has it all. Probably the best range of sporting, leisure and outdoor activity products in Manhattan. Everything from a Knicks or Rangers tee to full on winter boots and jackets.

I saw 5 salesman, all more incompetent that the other. I ended up leaving the store and will NEVER go back.

Always try to stop by for a visit when in NYC. Great selection and prices.
Have bought shoes, gloves, and other articles and never disappointed.

Went to buy ice skates. The sales people in the ice skate department were amazing and professional. Then I went to the shoe department and it was empty with three sales associate. One was on their phone while the other two chatted. Nobody came over to help us. So we decided to not buy our shoes there (they could have easily made a sale from us). This is a large store and each department is hit or miss with customer service.

They took 3 weeks to send in $30 soccer socks but sent me no socks but with a 10 dollar gift card that doesn t help me with anything

This shop is official. Exceptional selection, customer service and brands carried. Bought a lot in this store, always asked for help & advice, always had great service. They are very nice and know their products very well. Great experience!

I run a fair amount and have bought shoes and discounted running apparel at Paragon in the past. Having never needed to return anything, I assumed the "PARAGON WANTS YOU TO BE 100% SATISFIED" 30-day policy meant something.

Running experts at Paragon convince me to try Feetures socks - at $15 a pair. One run later, the toe box on one sock busts a hole (read: $2 per mile). When I go in to ask for a refund, or at least store credit - I am told I can buy another pair of Feetures at 10% off! (Saturday Manager - you seem slow so let me explain - that will get me down to ~$1.80 / mile!!!!). See you never, Paragon. Jackrabbit is just blocks away on 14th.

They sell clothes from many different types of sports buy they don't have a lot of stuff in each sport. However the staff here are great and always try to help you as much as they can

Overpriced. You can find most of the clothing online for significantly cheaper. But the staff is extremely helpful.

Greatest sports store ever for me. Right now they have a warehouse sale, everything downstairs is 40-70% off.

3 floors of sporting goods - everything you could possibly need for your adventures is right here! It can get pricey; but if your willing to invest into a sport, I feel you should have good quality items (which you can buy here).

Staff members OBVIOUSLY get paid commission for sales. Some can appear pushy; so beware.

My experiences here have been great though. Each time, I am greated by someone and never have to search far for someone to help me find something.

Before leaving on a snowboarding trip, I had to purchase snow goggles. The young man helping me was knowledgeable about the sport and was patient helping me find the right size and style. Another fellow helped me find gloves, and a young lady helped me with some socks. All of these people were able to answer my questions and point me in the right direction (which I appreciated).

The check out counter was a little wild though. Employees were yelling at one another, throwing things, joking, being slightly unprofessional and pretty much ignoring the customer...shame.

This super old school business has everything you need for sports related stuff. It is worth visiting even if you aren't looking for anything.

Incredible selection of sports goods and cold-weather gear. The staff is a mix of extremely helpful and insufferably snobbish. Their sales are pretty much the only time I shop there - however - but they're worth it!

Icon and perhaps my favorite store of all time! I've been shopping here for 20 years and stop in several times a month. Anything you want from tennis rackets to hiking boots to biking gear to camping tents to running sneakers...great quality and huge selection. A fun and addictive place to shop in the center of Manhattan!

It's 2016 and a business thinks selling fur is fashionable? That's wrong it's disgusting. I'm notifiying friends and family to take their businesa elsewhere.

I purchased a jacket and tried to return it thru the mail. They informed me that there were stains on the jacket and they could tell it had been worn. I never once wore the jacket and they refuse to reimburse me the cost of the jacket ($200). Small claims court here we come.

30 days return policy is a total lie even with a receipt and a label . Never buy again .

Edit: brought skis and bindings to get mounted as it was most convenient to my house. Shop doesn't know what they are doing. Mounted in wrong location on skis and didn't set the dins. Literally did not set them... Left at minimum position.

I came to Paragon for a trip I was taking to Patagonia. On the camping floor, I was helped by sales person Michael Ferranti. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about what I needed for my trip. Michael recommended everything I needed which meant a lot to me. He even carried all my stuff down to check out for me, which he didn't have to do. Michael is a huge asset to your store :)

It provides materials and clothing for a wide set of sports, with a good range of prices and quality.

Went in with a budget of 500 for ice hockey skates for my gf and I. They were able to find top of the line hockey skates for under 400 for both. Amazing service Harold really helped us out today. 15/10 would recommend give that man a raise he s doing his job RIGHT.

NYC superstore with an impressive amount of space but at the time I visited it may as well have just been a Canada goose concept store.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The store is pretty big and they have almost everything in stock at all times. It is located in a beautiful part of the city. This is my go-to for winter equipment.

If you like shopping under one roof and is a multipurpose sports type then Paragon Sports is the place. Have a vast selection within the regular types of sports and within camping. The shop is a labyrinth of exiting new adventures. Give yourself the experience visiting one of the most comprehensive shops of Manhattan within is field - pure delight and you will most probably find something you didn't new either existed or that you actually was urgently missing.

I visited Paragon Sports because I was in need of cycling shoes. It was my first time purchasing cycling shoes, so I was a little uncertain as to what I was looking for or how to find it. I thought the store itself has a lot to offer and for the most part was very well organized. I was a little confused because the cycling shoes are kept upstairs, away from the rest of the shoes. Once I asked someone, I was pointed in the right direction. It was a very packed day, so it was a little difficult to figure out the store. It was a little tricky getting the attention of employees, but once I did an associate helped me not only find a pair of cycling shoes but he also installed the clips for me so I can immediately put them to use. I'd definitely return if I'm ever in need for sports related goods, just perhaps on a less busy day or time.

Super impressed with the online order and pick-up experience. My order was packed and ready to go before I could even get to the store. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly when I arrived with questions.

Staff can be a little lackadaisical, but overall if you have a sports need, Paragon will most likely have it.

Worst customer service ever! First off, the place is dead and they have the nerve to treat me so badly! This is how you go out of business, nonetheless during a pandemic. I would never ever go back there.. And as if NY ers aren t going through enough right now. I can t even believe I ve spent good money there in the past. Overpriced and the worse customer service (aka the manager I ve ever experienced. Shop on amazon. Save the headaches!

Went here to pick up some gear before the NY half marathon. They had one rack of cold gear in the whole place. And they didn't have ear warmers. They have a lot of stuff overall but they do a very bad job stocking based on the season.

Received excellent assistance except in sneakers. Limited personnel. Fast checkout.

The guys in the skate department are SUPER helpful and knowledgable!!! Ankhe was super helpful - showed me how to change my bearings myself too!

Waited an eternity for a shoe size, no employees in sight after the one employee that let me in. Finally found an employee who told me to go downstairs to their stock room to find the shoe size I wanted as it would be quicker because he was busy lol these employees seemed miserable #neveragain

I consider this a go-to place for sporting goods. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It is a New York Institution. No visits this city is complete without going to Paragon

most of your sports eq, clothing, and some outdoorsy needs (winter jackets, backpacks, etc.) can be met at Paragon...at a price...often higher than you'd normally pay online and elsewhere, but that's Manhattan for you. thankfully, there are sales here and deals to be had if you hunt through the store. all that said, most major sports / athletic activities have large selections of sneakers, sportswear, and eq.

i needed some lacrosse balls a few months ago. i could have online-ordered and waited, but i rolled the dice and remarkably Paragon had some. who says brick-and-mortar is dead!

Absolutely amazing. I went in, and was immediately greeted by a worker who asked what I was looking for (swimwear). After going to where he pointed, I noticed the entire store was very large and organized. An employee in the swimwear section noticed that I couldn't find the pull buoy I was looking for, and offered help. The lady behind the register was also really nice in greeting her customers. I would definitely come back here for any sports materials I need

Great selection of sporting equipment. A higher quality modells. Huge selection of running shoes, ski gear, snowboarding gear, and running clothing. Updates its sports based on the season so its great for winter gear in the winter and summer sports in the summer.

I've come here for sports clothing and bike tape. They have a selection of skates, bikes, etc. Pretty large multi-level store. The line moves quickly and sometimes they do promotions outside where if you throw some beanbags succesfully through a hoop you can a ticket for a discount.

Never have i seen such an amazing collection of goods for every imaginable sport all in one location. Everything you need to get your fitness on and helpful staff to boot.
