Great place!

Great place!
Only thing to remember it's that the food choices are not good, prices are too a bit too high so best it's to bring sandwiches with you and after go somewhere nice to eat but still that its not a problem compere to the place itself.
We been to many zoo's in london and outside and always was waste of money but this one it's worth paying all the price!
The animals are so close and you can see everything super close and clear!
One day it's not enough to see everything,it's soooo many great things there!
Absolutely amazing and recommend 1000000% !

We went to PWP on Sunday and took part in the Tickle the Tapirs encounter. We had a really good time and learnt a lot. It was really nice to go behind the scenes and see the animals up close. Our 'guide' was really good and answered all our questions. And the tapirs were lovely animals, really docile and very happy to be tickled. The zoo is quite small but it's a nice size as you don't get too tired walking round (so especially good for those with small children that can't walk as far!) There are lots of 'shows' going on so even if you walk round it quite quickly (probably an hour to hour and a half) there are still other things to see. I would definitely recommend an encounter.

Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and space the animals got to roam around in. Especially the lions. It doesn't feel run down like some other places. Food still a let down. Hence the 4 stars.

Beautiful place, worth for an afternoon outing. Targeted at smaller people, my husband and I really enjoyed it. Had the afternoon tea with tigers (tour) which was amazing.... Well recommended.

Good parking. Entry fee a bit pricey especially considering that there are extras to pay for once you get inside like train ride and face painting but that's par for the course nowadays. It was a bit crowded and the rules in "Tumble Jungle" were clearly vague guidelines as none were being enforced. It was also quite authentic as it was as hot as a jungle inside! The wait to order refreshments was too long as well with some people retuning hot dogs that had a green hue to them. Thankfully I just had a non slushy, slushy and the kid a melted ice cream! The animals themselves were great and I even liked the dinosaur park though how that is not in breach of copyright is beyond me! Stick to the animals and not indoor play areas and you'll be fine.

We were there about 4 hours, the inside play areas were closed as stated on the website, some of the animals were hiding prob due to the heat, and remember to take a face covering to be able to go In the shop and some of the indoor animals , kids enjoyed the visit so that's the main thing

This is my favourite wildlife park. It is of course a bonus it's fairly local, but also it has an immense variety of animals of all kinds, from birds to insects, covering small and big carnivores and lots of primates. Some are quite unusual such as white lions and tigers, black lemurs, corsac fox, gibbons, reptiles, and even a petting zoo with the cutest pigmy goats you've ever seen. The enclosures are of course great for the animals but also for the public as it allows plenty of viewing and photo opportunities. For the kids there's also a large playground, a swimming pool during summer and lots of educational activities throughout the year. The keepers (and all other staff really) are just incredible, always ready to help and answer any question about the animals. I've lost count of the times I've visited but I'm always looking forward for my next visit!

Took my family and we all had a great day. The new dinosaur area is fantastic. Also this is the most disabled friendly park I've visited, they're facilities and clear efforts to accommodate everyone are brilliant and set a bar for other parks to rise to.

Aimed at under 12s dinasour section looked good for small kids and play areas. I have got a big issue with the size of the enclosures for the big cats far too small and u can see the animals are bored as they pace around or lie in the same place . The meerkat enclosure is far too accessible for little hands to reach in as well. All in all good variety of animals just a shame they can't have larger enclosures like Colchester zoo

Year Visited: 2010

The park is mainly geared towards the animal experiences and the entertainment of children; there were lots of school trips when we were there! They do have a diverse collection of animals, especially the big cats such as Tigers, Lions and Snow Leopards, alongside favourites such as the Meerkats and Leumrs.

Highlight of Visit: Feeding the Red Pandas, flying an Eagle Owl and feeding a Lion!

Downside of Visit: A smallish zoo, without the experiences would take a few hours to see the whole collection.

Lovely zoo in a countryside setting. The staff were very friendly and the animals all seemed very looked after. Some of the animals (cats) could really do with larger enclosures.
Great place to spend a few hours with the kids. When they're over seeing all the wonderful animals there's a splash park and adventure playground to entertain them too!

Great day out had by the 5 of us, usually go Woburn and Whipsnade so a nice change. Not sure I was happy with added costs, i.e. Golf, Train, add lunch and ice creams then you're looking at a very expensive fay out but it was good.

I found this park to be possibly paradise for kids but looking at the animals in cramped conditions they would probably call it hell . too many animals in too small a space.. if you want to visit a wildlife park you would be better going to yorkshire wildlife park near doncaster... you will even see polar bears... and its cheaper to get in...

Such a fun day out! We went on new year's day, out was pretty quiet but still lots going on. The animals seem very happy and well looked after. Defintely worth making sure you see the otters get their lunch! The dinosaurs are incredible, my little one was fascinated by them. Really looking forward to going throughout the year as we have an annual pass, there's so much to do! Would highly recommend. Great outdoor play area as well, and very reasonable prices to get in.

I spent a full day here with my very active 4 yo.

One half of the park is dedicated to wildlife especially big cats including the more unusual like Snow Leopards and White Tigers. The other half is dedicated to a large outdoor play area of various types (even including a small dedicated disabled play area), a small splash park and the Dinosaur walk (some with excellent animatronics and sound effects). There s also a good sized indoor soft play for the days when you might need to shelter from the weather for a while.

The perfect place if your child is into dinosaurs and big cats, or just likes running, climbing and splashing!

Very distressing place. Very rundown, lots of litter and overgrown bushes. Very little space for the animals and pretty dirty too. Poor animals won't happy having to be so close to a million screaming children because of so many play areas all over the grounds. I can't belive in 2014 this is aloud! Please give the animals to the beautiful Whipsnade Zoo so they have a bit of a chance and just keep it as a children's playground.
Horrible :(

Everything a kid could want in one park. Animals, soft play, outdoor parks and even a pool. The food isn't that badly priced considering and there are a few different places to get drinks and ice creams on a hot day. Everything being in such a small area is not necessarily a bad thing, you can see everything you want to see in just a few hours if you want, leaving more time for the parks and pool that the kids want and the food and coffee you want.

My first time was lovely, a bit tricky to navigate at first and building works inside didn't help but managed in the end. Animals seem happy and you can get close to the big cats which is nice. A little fustrated that staff wanted to start packing up an hour before closing and were a bit rude about it (at the Santa's grotto). Despite this the kids enjoyed themselves.

Just awesome! If you live in North London you need to visit. We have been a couple of times and spent most of the day there. There are many activities for the kids and education about all the animals. Well worth the money. As a tip sometimes they do offers on tickets at Groupon. Enjoy.

Fantastic day had by all of us I'm 54 I had 4 young adults with me 3 girls 22, 24 and 28 and 1 young man 27. Done the dinosaur walk first and that was brilliant very well laid out as well as interesting. Then we went over to the zoo part and that was well laid out and very clean. Lots of different animals all looked well cared for, listened to a couple of the talks on the animals and they were very informative. All in all a great day out was had by everyone. Only criticism I could make is the food and drink was a little bit on the expensive side but didn't effect us as we took a picnic with us and there are plenty of picnic areas around.

It was nice to go somewhere different, and definitely recommend Dinosaur world part. Amazing. Play areas and cafes are good and not over packed.
The animal part of the wildlife was bit disappointing, as not that many animals, lots more at a Zoo.

I do love Paradise park, just wish it would have a cut off point of visitors, OE introduce a quiet day for disabled and sensory children. Love, love, love the volunteers who work tirelessly! Amazing! Also, I'd like t see the big cats have a Large enclosure, I'd happily pay extra for this!
