This place is ludicrously expensive, but once you re in, it s phenomenal. We saw loads of animals very close up - I ve never seen so many big cats visible in their exhibits. The skywalk was really fun to look down into exhibits from, and the various smaller rooms were a delight. We took a 2 year old on a gloomy Saturday, and we had a great time. There is also an extensive playground, in case the kids get tired of looking at animals and need to run around.

Lots to do and see, can feed animals, listen to talks and see shows. My child throughly enjoyed himself and was asleep as soon as he was back in the car after a jam-packed day. Just so your aware inside the park all baby change are in ladies toilet as far as we could find.

Great day out for the family. Dinosaur park is well put together. Live animals are diverse and all looked after. Animal keepers are knowledgeable and friendly.

Limited food choice but tasty. Added bonus of a mini golf course. All in all a very lovely day out.

Extremely disappointed with this park. It's very much catered to children so if you are an adult thinking of going then I would not recommend. However, most importantly, the animals all look miserable and under stimulated. I felt extremely uncomfortable walking through the park as I felt partially responsible for their misery. I'm sure the park is up to standard and abiding with the law, however that doesn't mean that it's caring after their well-being and keeping them stimulated. We had a chat with the main zookeeper and they seemed much more concerned with correcting us and upholding the reputation of the park than addressing our concerns and taking them seriously. Please avoid, there are much better parks out there.

Lots of animals - we saw the reptiles, tigers, penguins, otters, meercats, camels, zebras, wallabies etc etc. The playgrounds were great fun too especially the old fire engine and train. They seem to be spending money to make new things too.

Excellent wildlife park, my daughter went on the monkey keeper experience and absolutely loved it! She fed the lemurs, helped sort out the squirrel monkey enclosure and had a behind the scenes tour of the animal food preparation area. The staff made us feel very welcome and were friendly and engaging. A fantastic time, thank you! The park itself has a great variety of animals and facilities, a highly recommended day out.

Great day out and so much to do. The dinosaur area kept my daughter occupied and fascinated for a long time. The new Lion enclosure and lions are fantastic as well, it's just a shame it was so hot and many of the cages appeared to be empty.

Great place to visit, this small zoo has some amazing animals, and interaction is encouraged, for a pound you can purchase vegetables to feed by hand sheep, emus, goats ,zebras etc, or for those of an adventurous nature, you can pay to feed lions.
Plenty for children to do, with a dinosaur park, and playgrounds.
Good food on offer
For me, the highlight is the Speedway Museum, certainly a trip down memory lane.

*Review from 6 years ago. Accidental edit reposted it.* Please don't fund this place. It is far from paradise or a park. Most of the park was oriented towards young children that spent most of their time on the children's play apparatus than seeing the actual animals. The park itself is somewhat rundown and filled with plastic animal sculptures and bored staff - that would have been fine so long as the animals were in good condition. The best parts were parrots, the tortoise 'mowing' the lawn on the other side of the avian area, and the Meerkats - what little personalities they had. They were able to entertain themselves and the enclosure was thankfully designed with them in mind, not the visitors.

Unfortunately, you mostly see wildlife stuck in very small cages considering their size - they seemed more like quarantine cages with little stimulation or growth for them to hide when they don't want to be seen. For example: the lion section was awfully small with one large rock formation where the male lion slept, the jaguar's, and cheetah's were too small too. The last two spent most of their time pacing and being agitated (partly because they couldn't eat any of us I suspect) in tennis court sized cages with some trees and dense foliage in the middle to hide. The only enclosures that seemed to 'work around' the small ground space was the tiger's and snow leopard's, where there were cool platforms for them to snooze on within the extremely limited space. For the other enclosures, this was not the case.

On the most part, the animals were bored, distressed (from some stone throwing, glass tapping/cage rattling, noisy kids) and disgruntled (there was a hawk tied to and sitting on a small stool a few inches off the ground and a leopard that spent most of it's time trying to hide when it became agitated from the window tapping/knocking). Some animals were possibly unwell and underfed and there was one (walking) wounded! Granted, the wound could have been caused by one of the other animals in the enclosure.

I noticed that some enclosures were funded by various names, such as car manufacturers. It seems only the attractive animals have benefited... sort of. I won't return. Seeing those animals like that was upsetting.

Went for my friends Son's 6th Birthday! He had a fantastic time. The Wild Cat enclosure was amazing. The Zebras, Meerkats, camels, red pandas. The Reptile house with the snakes! Not forgetting the Amazon Anaconda snake!

Great place for a family day out with younger kids. The zoo area has a great big cat section and it s very easy to walk around the different areas with little kids as it s all quite small and close together. The Jurassic Park bit is a good bit of fun and there are loads of play parks and additional things to entertain the kids. Food choices are all unhealthy and a bit pricey to take a packed lunch.

Had a lot of fun. Animals looked great and are so engaging. The food and ice cream are decently priced not over expensive. A lot of activities and fun stuff for kids to do and the zoo is very easy to navigate.
