Great place, loads to see and do... and the animals are all happy! Love the meerkats :)
Have been a regular visitor for several years, taking family and friends ... especially love the christmas carols.
We had a nice day, dinosaurs are a must. Some of the animals in the park do look a little thin !
Children love this place. Great mix of animals, play areas, new splash pool, and the animatronic dinosaur park. Very compact so ideal, especially for younger children who might find a large zoo very tiring.
Fantastic family day out. Our son was so excited to visit after watching 'One Zoo Three' and he wasn't disappointed. Highlights were the dinosaur park and getting up close to the big cats!
Great place for kids very interactive and lots to experiance
The park is normally fantastic especially for Big Cats and the conservation work they do.
if you are planning a family day out themed around any of the Dinosaur, Australian or Farmyard animals go ahead.
However if your visit is for Big Cats postpone til after October. The white lions have a great enclosure but currently their Tigers, Snow Leopards and Jaguars are all barely visible due to construction works and lack of availability of the staircases and platforms built to see the cats.
I did get in touch with customer service but they didnt apologise for the disappointment or really empathise with the situation. Obviously where everyone chooses to spend is important right now. Really a shame as my first ever visit was much better than this one.
Excellent place for family zoo visit. Very caring staff. Best to bring your own food. Lots of picnic tables.
I've visited this zoo a few times and have always had a great experience. I visited this weekend for Dino night with my god son and it was a lovely event for kids. He really enjoyed the event and so did me and his mother. Its really suitable for kids as they have a lot of different play areas for kids, as well as the dinosaur world. They also have play equipment suitable for wheelchair users. Overall I would definately recommend giving them a visit!
An amazing day out for the family. The dinosaur area was fantastic on its own add in the lions, leopards, meerkats, penguins, camels and ask the other fun animals it was one of the best days out we have had!!!
Quaint smaller zoo however the charm of Paraside has won us over and we keep going back over and over.
A great place for a family day out with lots to do for children. The parking area is huge and it's all very well organised place. I have been here 6 times now and you can never be disappointed seeing the various creatures of animilia life here.
I love this park, the animals look well cared for and the food is nice.
Brilliant place to visit and see the animals, lots of conservation. The place is ideal for families with lots of children areas and places to play and eat. There are tigers, lions, monkeys, meerkats something for everyone.
Brilliant place last came 8 yrs ago and boy have things changed for the better only criticism is one heck of a wait in the queue for food in the Safari Diner but food was nice when we got got it all in all. Had a great time thanks
Had a fantastic evening for Dinasour in the dark event. Good time had by all.
What a great place for families. With the addition of the dinosaurs my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
My family recently went to Paradise Wildlife Park on a grey ,gloomy, Sunday. We didn't have much money as it was post Christmas so we were armed with a picnic.
Our first call was to feed the rabbits which the kids thought was great (note - you can only feed certain animals and only with the food that you can buy at the entrance and at stations around the park that are open during busier times). We then bumped into a keeper near the new baby wolves (these were 6 months old and huge!). We got chatting to him and found his knowledge exceptional. He also advised when another keeper would be talking about the main wolves.
Another keeper, again very knowledgable, then came to clean out the lions bedding. We we given a fascinating insight into the lions and the extraordinary lengths that the keepers go to in looking after the magnificent creatures that are kept at the park.
This set the tone for our day. We attended the keeper talk about the wolves and it was very informative - it wasn't only the kids who learnt new things. As the saying goes - these guys know their onions!
The rest of the day was equally enjoyable. Tigers and the white lions were other favourites of ours. We also attended the treetop cafe for a coffee before finding a nicely sheltered table to eat our picnic. Our final stop was to the gift shop on the way out where the kids could get reasonably pricd souvenirs.
Paradise Wildlife Park has so much to offer, even in the winter, and is a great day out for the family. We have been visiting the park since we have lived in Hertfordshire (about 7 years) and have never been disappointed. We wil definitely visit again soon.
What a great place. So much there we spent the whole day there. Dinosaur world only openned in March and was amazing. The animal park had a variety of animals and held the girls interest. Face painting, glitter tattoo and play areas were also fun. We brought a picnic and there were various areas you can sit on to eat it although there are a number of stalls throughout the park for hot and cold drinks, ice cream and food (prices seem reasonable in comparison to other similar places). On the way out we popped into indoor place area, Tumble Jungle. There's also a cafe there; great in the wet weather. Water Lagoon is next door which includes a paddling pool; great for hot weather but not on the day we went. Definitely recommend this park; staff were also very nice and everything seemed clean and well kept.
Very fun day out however there is a lack of food options, as well as this they advertised the lion exhibit as open but when we went it was still under construction
Animals all.look healthy and well.looked after. Fun for all the family
Really great day out. Although i feel some of the big cat enclosures could be bigger!
Brilliant day out for dinosaur struck 1 and 2year olds. Loads of space for a picnic . A lot of the animals are furloughed
Very good visiting place for short holydays or weekend's
Dinosaur Park was fantastic, realistic looking, fun, different. The animals however were a sad story. Muddy conditions outside so in very small cages, lonely looking animals. Hand sanitiser all-over park areas but no one wearing masks or adhering to social distancing.
Lots of different activities for a wide range of ages. Good variety of activities; play areas dotted around the park with similar types of animals grouped together near each other. It's pretty easy to walk across different ends of the park in relatively quick time, so you can get to the various shows, feedings, talks etc in good time. There's a whole section for anamatronic dinosaurs which is a lot of fun, with all your favourites and then some extra ones. Additionally a ride on train goes alongside the dinosaurs
How difficult and unhelpful that I wasnt allowed to swap ( and pay more) my husband's senior ticket for a regular adult ticket. This is not a good experience for our family.
This was our 3rd visit...absolutely great, loved the new lion enclosure, Such a great day out, paddling pool is nice for the children. Dinosaurs were fantastic....
Brilliant smaller zoo with some surprising animals. (white tiger and white lions). Many children's play areas and activities. Also interesting Speedway Museum.
Amazing place. A great family day out would recommend to family's.
A great place to visit an added bonus for any child who likes dinosaurs too a great display and train ride
Great little zoo I've been many times over the years
I'd agree with other reviews that the cages all seem small for the bigger animals and they don't look particularly happy. The food was expensive given how average it is. Ticket prices are high for the offering, especially given there was no mention on the website or when we bought tickets that there are works going on which in some cases meant the animals aren't there, which was true of the penguins. That was a big disappointment.
Nice zoo with a lot of animals to see. Coffee was awful though
This was my first visit and really enjoyed it, so took out a monthly membership.. well worth a visit
Took our dinosaur mad 3 year. The whole family loved it. So much to do. Brilliant place.
Felt very small for the size of the animals. The enclosures appeared very small.
Excellent value for money, lots of animals of various sizes, the lion is moody but great to watch him food is reasonably priced great for children and adults alike
Loved it here! My little girl really enjoyed her day here yesterday. Amazing experience for her even though shes only 2 years old.
Will def come to visit again.
The dinosaur area was great, however some of the animal enclosures were far too small and not very well thought out. Unfortunately very few people were social distancing or bothering to use the hand gell provided
I wish I could give it zero stars, unfortunately that isn't an option.
The park was tiny, overcrowded and far too expensive for what you get.
The animals appeared distressed, tired and bored (the enclosures for the big cats were anything but 'big'!), and they spent a lot of time pacing up and down, ears back in upset as various children and adults shouted at them and even threw things at them.
Would much rather visit Whipsnade, where the animals have a choice to visit a personal space away from the crowds!
As someone who cares for animals and their welfare, I shall be bringing this up with various wild animal societies.
A well laid out park. Lots to see and do, but pricey and some activities are extra.
This place although small was an experience day gift . And was. Dry very enjoyable must say feeding the red pandas and having the bird of prey on me was amazing
Done the junior zookeeper experience with my 11 year old daughter and partner and we had a wonderful day would definitely do it again and you must visit the face painter shes incredible
Great place. Nice staff loads to do. Full day packed with fun for the kids
On our first day in London from a week walking through the Cotswolds, we stretched our legs for a walk through Soho, and checked out the area made famous (to us) during the mid-19th century cholera outbreak. It was nice to fit the name we had read about to a real location, and look at the surrounding buildings, many of which were the same over 150 years ago.
This place is only for small children. there are a lot of empty frames, there are not many animals. there is only one in the land of wolves!!!
Lots to see and do here for a small local park and good to see it still going strong. Love the dinosaurs they are awesome.
Seeing the wolves was enough. Acres of woodland surrounding them, yet their enclosure was tiny, with nowhere to go to escape the public gawping at them. Very sad.
First time back since lock down. Quiet and plenty of one way directions. Still plenty to see and do despite a few attractions being closed. Lots of outdoor play areas and picnic spots.
Simply wonderful place for the family. Amazing dinosaur park also. Great fun
Wide range of animals. Lots of places to sit down and picnic. Well signposted. Fun family day out.
Excellent zoo with great experiences. Being able to feed the goats, sheep, emu's, alpaca's etc is a great experience for both kids and adults.
We took my daughter and a friend last week for a birthday treat to see the wolves. Unfortunately the wolves were asleep but we could see them through the window into their sleeping quarters. However the girls weren't disappointed as there was loads to do. We really loved the walkway above the big cats enclosures, so you could see them even if they were hiding/sleeping etc. Food and drinks seemed reasonably priced and good quality. The kids loved the splash pool at the end of the day. Beware there are coin operated rides etc which only take old pound coins.
Best thing I've done all year. I booked the Tea with Tigers experience for me and my other half, all the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Our tour guide was fantastic, she was very informative and would happily answer all of the groups questions with great detail, her enthusiasm for the animals themselves was very apparent and gave our group a similar feeling. The food was nice (and free with the experience), plenty of opportunities for fantastic photos and its nice out of the 16 zoos I've been to, to see all the animals genuinely happy and relaxed in their given areas. All the staff seem to have strong bonds with the animals they work with which is evident as you see them together. This has made me want to try more of the experiences offered and will be definitely making the 3 hour trip back to this zoo as it is well worth it! Ignore the bad reviews, I highly recommend coming here, whether just by yourself, a couple, family or group of friends you will enjoy this
We were really disappointed with this place; the animals looked like they hated it + I'm not surprised! Compared to other zoo's (or wildlife parks) the animals had hardly any space to move around + some of their behaviours were similar to those ads on tv asking for donations to help save a sanctuary - lots of rocking back + forth or pacing around aimlessly. I found the whole experience quite upsetting.
Also, as parents with a toddler, we needed to bring the (small) buggy with us - not a problem anywhere else, but here, there were far too many narrow, tiny spaces where it was impossible to manoeuvre. There was also a lack of signage stating which parts where buggy/wheelchair-friendly, so we often found ourselves having to carry the buggy up + down flights of stairs. Yes, we had a map of the park + yes there were signs pointing to the Play Areas or the Dinosaurs etc, but nothing actually saying what type of access there was. We (obviously) weren't the only ones with buggys so we saw quite a few people getting frustrated. Anyone using a wheelchair would've missed out on about half the park!
Great day out for all the family,You need more than 1day to see and do everything..
Was nice. Not so well signposted so had to wander around to find way
5 adults (17 - 50 years) 5 kids (1- 7 years). I think it's a little expensive but we had used Tesco Clubcard vouchers so much cheaper and there are some deals online if you buy in advance. Food and drink is expensive here but we took a More
Good day out. Recommended for younger children between 5-8. We took our girls 8 & 11 respectively. Older child got bored easily but our younger daughter loved it. Onsite food over priced but I guess you'd have to expect that given the demand. Overall a good day.
This place was awesome, the kids really enjoyed it. The dinosaur park was brilliant
Fun day out. A bit pricey. Be sure to bring ur own food and drink
