Just do not buy pizza from this place I'llmondu pizza and crispy dough just around the corner and have much better quality and reputation. I bought a buffalo slice for $5 dollar beside is expensive it didn't have enough ranch on it When asked for a little more on the top they said 75cents extre. Ii asked for my money back and I went to crispy dough and got ist for 3$50 cents. With extre side of ranch on the side I don't know why I came here Not recommended place from me.
They say this is where to go Pizza while in the Longwood area of Boston. I tried, it didn't disappoint. Also fair prices.
Customer service was horrible. After waiting an hour (quoted delivery time) I called & person on phone said Oh sometimes people just say that the order is done(on app) & don t actually tell anyone to make it so my order prep began over an hour late, they quoted at least another 30 min for delivery, I waited a little then said I d pick it up. Coincidentally my car starter was acting up so then I called back & said I still needed the originally deliver( abt 15 min later). Same woman on the phone says they ll have a driver bring it over still(less than 20 min before close) it s 15mi. After their close time...my food never arrived
My family and I were in town last week visiting relatives and they decided one night to order out pizza. They knew of Papa's and highly recommended it. Boy, were they right! The pizza got there quick, it was HOT, and it was incredible! We ordered two extra larges (Margherita and Meat Lover) and everyone loved them! The crusts and sauce were wonderful. (It took me back to my younger days when we would go out Sunday after church to our favorite Italian restaurant in Cleveland). So I decided before we came home, I would have to take the family there to eat. We arrived and though it was busy, we were seated immediately by a very courteous, friendly host. Our server got to us quickly and got our drinks while making some suggestions for my wife and I as well as the kids. Just like the take-out pizza, in in-house food was perfect as well! Chicken Alfredo, Strawberry Walnut Salad, Meatball Sub, and my one kid actually ordered a Steak Teriyaki Bowl (at an italian restaurant????) and I was shocked at how good it was! Even the Assistant Manager Konstantine came by to see how everything was. He was a very nice young man. Service was spot on without being overbearing. Wish I could bring this place down to FL with me as well as give it more stars than just five!
Great pizza . Huge slices. Big bang for your wallet
Favorite pizza shop around! Great specialty pizzas (BBQ meats is by-far the best) and you get a giant "slice" at a cheap price. Convenient. Fast. Worth the trip over over.
A great place for pizza, salads and mozzarella fingers and pasta I would recommend it and its coveted
It s a bad experience ever had, I enjoyed the pizza quite well but the people there are disgusting, the employee there made a mistake by not doing the bill payment properly and they mistook us as we didn t paid. They should hire employees who knows to respect customers and be professional!! Hope you make a better service further.
The service was terrible, the girl at the register was on the phone taking a long order while I just had a drink a cookie that I wanted to buy but there was no acknowledgement of my waiting. It was poor service so, I decided not to buy any of the items. I would give 0 but 1 is the lowest score for customer service.
The chicken gyro is $13, very small, and has absolutely zero taste. This place is just a bootleg ilmondos. Not worth a second visit
I was in town for just a few hours and stumbled on this pizza joint and girlll was it good. The friendly staff let me charge up my phone a little while i ate some badass pesto and spinach pizza (: Ill definitely visit again when im in Boston.
This place was exceptional, very welcoming, the girl takeing orders didn't catch her name, but she was so sweet and consideret, the food was delicious... Thank you!...... Maria Dionne
Tasty thin sliced pizza , very reasonably priced, great service
I love, love, love this place. The food is Awesome! Nice friendly people that work there as well
A slice is really two slices. Lots of choices. Very delicious. Thin crust. The dough is of good quality. Love this place.
Huge props that -- when I went in to pick up my order -- every single worker was wearing their mask correctly. This was very reassuring. There also doesn't seem to be any in-person dining, so I felt much safer walking in here than into other places I've tried recently. The eggplant parm was very tasty. I haven't done takeout much in the Medical Area this past year due to the pandemic, but will definitely continue to return here.
Of the three choices on the corner (Penguin and ilmondo), definitely pick this one. Why? I'm staying at Boston's children's hospital, and have tried both which were a disappoinment. Third time's a charm when choosing here, but doesn't have to be yours. Much more flavor and better tasting. My only critique is that the dough needs a little more salt, otherwise delicious! Start and finish here, you'll be happier.
Great quality pizza and even better service! I thought il mundos couldn t be beat but this definitely did.
Giant sized pizza slice. That and a drink for 6 bucks. Good pizza. Yum
My husband and I live about 4 hours away but come to the VA hospital for specialist appointments once or twice a month and we stay the night and order in. We have found a few places we like, one that was horrendous.... And then last night, we were lucky enough to find Papa's. The girl that answered the phone was very friendly and helpful in describing the dishes we were thinking of and what was included to make sure we got what we were looking for. I ordered my Italian sub with a meat substitution, added mayo and asked for the oil on the side. It feels like it's next to impossible to get all these things correct at a restaurant sometimes but they nailed it. We ordered some additional sauces for our appetizers which all made it. On top of getting everything correct, the food was amazing!!! We dove into our appetizer sampler and everything was fantastic. My husband raved about his steak and rice bowl. My sub was perfection. And the cake.. let's just say next time we won't share a slice. Looking greatly forward to our next visit to Boston and to Papa's!
It was good. Service was good and fast - they didn't have pastrami when I went which was a bummer because I set out specifically for it but that's life! I had a cheese steak type special sub which was decent but lacking in flavor a bit dry. I am being critical. The place is good I would go again and try their pizza that might have been my mistake haha.
Buffalo chicken pizza is A1 and service is great. Highly recommend!
Decent prices and decent quality food. Given a five for serving slices of pizza as big as my head. I suppose it is a pizza joint near colleges thing, but it works for me. Staff was friendly and got everything out in timely manner. I look forward to heading back when I am in the neighborhood.
Plenty of beverages to choose from, small, but cozy. Would definitely recommend trying
Amazing as always... I drive from the Cape for a slice of the Fenway...
The best Italian sub i ever had!!! Slightly toasted, no onions, perfect amount of oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Great Food, Fair Prices For There Portions & Very Polite
Meatball sub was amazing, wings were very good, delivered on time in Dorchester, and got my order right.
Delicious pizza! Also, huge slices for great prices. Wait was short, and served hot.
Thought I was going to mondo, but the pizza was as good if not better! Great baklava and the Greek hospitality and the baklava is
Im shocked at how many reviews say the pizza here is good. It s not. I had a slice of peperoni pizza and a pepsi (>$6 ) and ate about half because I was starving but every bite was close to miserable. They will give you your slice on a piece of wax paper and a paper plate... so your paper plate won t fall apart from the cup of oil soaking on top of it. Super salty pizza, cheese and sauce were not awful (but not good at all). I left still hungry. I can t speak on the rest of their menu, or even their other pizzas, all I know is I m not coming back to find out. Their kitchen looks very clean which must have taken some effort considering how dirty it looked when Il Mondo s was still there. Their staff was friendly and my slice was brought out to me instead of them just yelling that my slice was ready and grabbing it from the counter which is what I typically expect at a quick-bite pizza and sub place. Im leaving two stars only because this is advertised as a pizza company but serves the worst pizza I have had in some time.
This place just opened but feels like they've been doing it for years. The pizza is great, the inside is modern and very clean, everything was fast. Papa done good.
Huge slices of pizza! The pepperoni and buffalo chicken are great options.
Best thing about this place was its buffalo chicken pizza. I spent 50 dollars on dinner plates, subs, and a slice of pizza for my family and the only thing we liked was the buffalo chicken pizza. The sauce they use to top it off was outstanding. But I would not order anything else just the pizza next time.
Good food at an affordable price, close to the Colleges of the Fenway, and even takes Fenway Cash. In a great spot for a late night bite- if you don't mind a wait.
Closest thing to New York pizza I ve found in Boston. Good stuff!
Regular here, Food is good and fairly price. The only issue for not giving them 5 stars is the service. I have called for pickup multiple times and arrive 30 mins later to pickup my order only for them to realize they never put it in or it's not ready and I had to wait another 20 mins. Overall great pizza place.
Hi, I called in an order one thing I arrived it still wasn't ready. Very slow pace the employee is easily distracted with what's going on him. My time is very important.
Best slice in Boston, 1/4 of a pizza for a reasonable price.
I live around the corner and this is my go to location for pizza in a neighborhood that has like 7 pizza places within 3 blocks
This has to be the worst pizza I ve ever had. The dough was paper thin and there was almost no cheese or sauce on this. I would avoid at all cost.
Wonderful employees and loved the pizza and antipasto salad.
Each review on here says the pizza is great but in my opinion it was absolutely awful. Worst pizza I've had in Boston. I would recommend going to 1 of the other dozen pizza places around the city.
My pepper steak & cheese was out of site One of the best, if not the best sub. I've got to try those delicious looking pizzas, next
Everything I have had from here so far has been great. The the employees and the owner at Papa's are always super friendly which is refreshing because I find customers get treated as an annoyance all too often in Boston. In addition, the kitchen always looks clean unlike the old pizza place that used to be in this location. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop in and try for yourself.
Specialty Pizza is great. Wings and tenders are fresh battered.
Fav place, great food, clean, and Staff (including delivery) are very pleasant
Advert says its open daily ...It's not. It's closed on Sunday's . Not a good sign for a new business! Ever heard of being consistent?
I'm in Boston for 6 weeks over the summer and live in the mission hill area. I have been to Penguin pizza, Ilmundo, Joe's, Mama's and Papa's. Papa's is by far the best in terms of food. The pizza is delicious. The steak and cheese subs are phenomenal. The Gyro's are incredible. I even tried eating healthy for a couple of weeks and had all their salads on the menu. The salads were fresh and delicious. They are super generous with the helpings. It's super clean and the owner pretty much lives in the store. I'm looking forward to coming back next summer, it's my go to spot.
Every body so kool n nice, love to go thir every week, specially extra crispy fries mmmmmmmm .
Night time the best sandwich you can find in Longwood.
Fantastic place. The food is cheap and bountiful. Around $18 for a 22" pizza is amazing and the taste is out of this world. Staff is friendly and our the wait time was next to nothing. Overall easily top 3 best pieces of pie in Boston.
I visit this place on regular basis. My favourite buffalo chicken pizza. The pasteries are good and worth a shot. Crust: Thin Crust.
Cheap but good pizzas are the flagship of the Papa's, but its great for many other confort bites. It is open for late diners and has a small space to dine in. It is literally 20 secnds appart from the inbound trains of the green line that can be monitoored from the shop window, which makes for the perfect place to snack something and stay proyected from the weather if you are commuting that way. They are not yet wheelchair friendly.
Great pizza. The best thing about this place is you can pay for a reasonably priced slice and that slice is an entire quarter of the pizza. It s such a great value, but just be aware that there s so little space inside and lots of college students like to go here. During the COVID pandemic, they don t have any chairs to sit inside, at least the last time I went in early April.
Really great pizza - came here twice and had a margarita pizza the first time, and the second time had a steak and cheese with sweet potato fries. Omg both were so good. I can't wait to go back and try more pizza, although the sub was outstanding.
A decent place to grab a quick bite to eat, located relatively close to several colleges.
Reliably delicious pizza each and ever time. The right amount of cheese and toppings and the crust is delicious (and I normally don't even like crust). This is my go-to pizza place each and ever time.
