Reasonable pick if you've a taste for escargot. Even better if you enjoy a red wine with a beef entree.

Off the bat, good wine selection. A lot of choice picks for local reds.

They've set up a large tent in the parking area for large parties and opened the interior with open air. You'll still see an occasional patron at the bar though.

Had a hankering for escargot, was not disappointed. Dripping of garlic and butter, but I did wish the butter used was a compound butter.

Beef wellington was cooked to a proper pink. Sauce was rich and savory. Cooking was done well and generally enjoyable for when you have a certain craving.

We sat in the patio area but indoor dining is also available. The patio area is airy and comfortable, but the food is the main highlight of Papillon as they celebrate their 40th year! We started with Escargot, Crab cakes and Tuna Tartare - the Escargot is awesome and make sure to finish the sauce with bread! Tuna Tartare and crab cakes are delicious starters as well. For the main dishes, the Angus Filet Mignon is super tender and delicious with Gorgonzola! For seafood lovers, the Pistachio encrusted scallops is a must try! Lastly, service is very good and attentive. A definite repeat!

Food was horrible. I have been to France and to many French restaurants. This is basically frozen food re-heated. The service is also not great. The waiter never came by to check on us or food. The wine list is low level store bought. They should source local Livermore wines or anything better. Very, very disappointed.

Really courteous service, foods amazing, their outdoor seating is great if you don t mind the noice from the road. They have a huge wine selection and since its at the foothills, some amazing views too. Recommended for special occasions as they can make your occasiona even more special.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration there Saturday night. So good to get out. Our food was exceptional, as always. Our server, Sam, was so patient with all of us as was the rest of the wait staff. I love the 'no rush' atmosphere at Papillion. Charles is an amazing host. Many stars for a lovely evening.

The food was incredible. I had the beet salad and chicken cordon blue (stuffed with crab). This is one of the best meals I've had in a long long time. Crab stuffed in chicken is genius. My friend had french onion soup and lobster ravioli. I didn't try the soup, but that ravioli is life changing. recommend
