The hot chocolate in the winter is divine. I'll usually get a box of 4 to go and bring them to my family before we shovel snow...
We loved the sandwiches and coffee. The staff and clientele we're friendly and welcoming.
I was hoping I'd have a nice experience there. It wasn't the case. I was charged $12.45 for an egg, bacon, cheese sandwich. And I had to wait 10 mins for it. Bad.
May be not the Greatest Bakery... but I still like it. They have this long sandwich with grilled veggies.... if they could just add a little bit of flavor to it, I think it will taste great.
Went Saturday at like 11am. Was told they have table service so we picked a table and sat.... for 15min. Finally we said something to someone, they brought us menus and left again. 10min later they come back asking if we wanted water with a lemon... never saw her again. We waited a total of about 45min outside and never even got a water. So we made a decision and left. Won t be back. Don t care how good it is- we wouldn t know.
Great service. Always fresh mozarella. Great tasting food.
Me and my kids went to paneantico and we got a donut which has the cutest wrapping paper on it and seasonally decorates their donuts with a lot of custard inside and we also went there for breakfast to get a bagel and the bagels were just so fluffy and delicious, definitely recommend.
Great service by Jackie- the place was packed- we told her we had a flight to catch and she attended to us at our table immediately- she was very kind and courteous- the food was nicely prepared and fresh- hearty portions! Will definitely be back
This is a great neighborhood place. It has good sandwiches and other food. The bakery offerings are extensive and fairly priced. You can eat there with table service or get food and bakery items to go. In nice weather, there is outdoor seating available. The place gets very busy on weekends so be prepared to wait in line if you come in the afternoon.
This place is where it's at
The food was tasty, flavorful and mouth watering. We had the grilled chicken with mozzarella, red peppers and balsamic vinaigrette.
I will be going back and next time i will be sampling their delicious desserts.
When in the area, do go in and enjoy the food and friendly atmosphere. You will be planning your next visit, as i was as i paid my check. Bon appetite
Very popular place. I come often for breakfast and lunch though the lunch menu seems like just a listing of every permutation of Italian meats, mozzarella and grilled peppers there are big salads with tuna and chicken options. Roasted veggies and their own oil and balsamic vinegar another good option. Not a bottomless, but a big cup of great coffee. Large selection of Italian cookies and pastries. None on the menu, you have to window shop at the counter where the lines are long. Great cheese cake.
They were so nice and helpful even though I walked in right before closing.
Their cheesecake is the best I have ever tasted! I recommend the chocolate!
Food and pastries are wonderful. The line is ridiculous. There are two lines that meet in the middle. Be prepared to stay on line and have people go ahead of you
Sandwiches, especially the eggplant, are insane. Pastries are good for those with a sweet tooth
Wonderful brunch. Excellent cappuccinos and good Italian bakery options
Five stars in my book atmosphere nice food delicious waitresses friendly and respectful
Cake is so good. Cheap and delicious. And good service. I love this place.
Over 100 different sandwiches on the best bread, and great pastries and cakes. Crowded at times.
The food here is fantastic, on a few occasions service has been very slow, but not due to neglect as the wait staff are always running around and doing things.
Best breakfast and bakery shop in Bay Ridge! Great food, excellent location, and awesome staff!
Great ice coffee and cheesecake, and infinite dessert options. Very reasonable prices too.
Best sandwiches in Brooklyn, change my mind. P.S. Rainbow cookies are second best in the city.
Chaotic . Terrible service. Seated ourselves as instructed . Had to get up and get a menu and request service after a few minutes. Waitress & waiter walked by us multiple times during our 20 minute wait. Finally decided to just leave . A couple across the way with a child had to get up multiple times for service i.e. utensils , the neighboring table empathized & offered our daughter a snack because she verbalized she wanted a cookie.
Great service and excellent chocolate chip cookies.
One of the best places in Brooklyn for authentic Italian cold cut sandwiches.
Ok, WT.....how come I've never heard of this place???
Just WOW!
Vegan options. This panini is one bite in and I had to write a review. Now I am two bites in and Loving it. Kind of bliss.
Arugula, tomatoes, red peppers, avocado, eggplant and mushrooms. Oh, and balsamic vinegar.
I can't wait to bite into the vegan desserts. I haven't had a sticky bun in years!
Fresh great food. Huge sandwiches and excellent service
Some of the best food I've ever had for both breakfast and lunch/dinner! Their sandwiches are a must.
Great service and seating outside. Cookies were beyond amazing and it has everything you can for from a local italian bakery. Sandwiches are also great. Cappacinno is a must
Whenever I am in Bay Ridge I make it a point to stop here for lunch. Massive sandwiches stuffed with Italian meats and cheeses. So big it counts as two meals. Whole sandwiches are about 10+ dollars, and worth every penny. Also if you can't get enough of their sandwiches, they are a good follow on Instagram
Feel like a hero sandwich?
Can't make up your mind as to a good combo?
Hope you're not in a rush 'cause Paneantico has over 100 combinations! Each sandwich is as awesome as the other! Fresh cold cuts, fresh bread, incredible sides... if that's not enough, their salads are Delicious and HUGE!
I'm not wild about their pastries, you can do better at several other Italian bakeries.
As for sandwiches, Paneantico is my Hero!
This review is for the chocolate covered and original extra large cannolis. My father brought a few home for me as a treat and they were the freshest cannolis I have ever tasted . I mean the quality of the pastry was absolutely amazing . The cream was sweet but not sugary sweet so I didn t feel like my teeth hurt after eating them . The crispy outside was soft and crumbled as I but into it . The pastries were just so delicious that my family and I finished them within 24 hours . Also , after placing the cannolis in the fridge over night they still tasted fresh the next day . How amazing is that ?
Great & delicious assortment of baked & deli foods. But bring your patience for the queue or a table.
Not happy, was waiting for 20 min, nobody came to serve us,we left, and i came with my friend, was telling him all the best about this place....
Sandwich is very good but that is mostly because of the bread. Pastry is fine.
A bit over hyped. You can get better quality food some other places just around the corner
Everything here is top notch. Bagged goods, coffee, hot trays... All the best
It is one of the best Italian bakeries in Brooklyn! I love the pastries so much!!
Big portions, good desserts, unbelievable balsamic glaze.
One of the best places on Brooklyn. Clean, fresh, delicious.
Lovely bakery with amazing chocolate dipped pistachio cookies. We stop by for these whenever we're in the neighbourhood.
Food is really good, nice staff...yet, very small and crowded seating...don't sit near the door on cold days...
It's not often that an unpretentious Brooklyn bakery / eatery can never miss a step with the hungry palate of its Bay Ridge patrons, yet it's exactly what you get at this family - owned establishment. Simple, yet sublime, extravagant, yet affordable, you will never leave here disappointed... Maybe only if they run out of eggplant parm.
Baked goods, roast beef heroes with roasted peppers on fresh bread, espresso. Really, what is there in life? With that said, you could live in the back of this place and be happy for a long time. They have outside seating, if you want to pretend you are in Italy or somewhere else exotic instead of sitting in bay ridge, grabbing lunch on a Saturday because you have to run errands.
Very good stuff and great people.
Vero italiano
GREAT sandwiches! Love there balsamic! They have a huge selection of baked goods. Breads, cookies, cakes, .... All great. The staff is really nice also.
Main issue here is a dude can't ever get prosciutto bread in this place. Wassupwitdat?!
Bought the eggplant sandwich here and diggity dang was that good. They have this famous tangy and sweet balsamic reduction sauce that kicks your nose off a cliff of smells and colors. Yes colors. It's that strong. It's not a surprise that the place is almost always full, but most of the time people dine and dash (not stealing, they just grab a quick bite and go). Would recommend again, but the parking is atrocious.
