Great Bread, nice staff, but very worst layout/checkout conceivable.

Great oven-roasted bread and homemade mozzarella. We love splitting a ciabatta sandwich with chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers, arugula and their homemade vinegar reduction. An unbelievable experience. We also split their big cups of coffee. The brunch breakfasts are excellent and relatively inexpensive. We are partial to the sesame cookies and anisette biscotti. The best gift you can give anyone when visiting is their mozzarella and brick oven bread.

This place was my favorite until I ordered this plate In the shared photo.
Even though service was always complained about due to severe slowness and discombobulating, but food was always with quality and portions were generous.
Being in love with seafood, I ordered my regular plate (displayed in photo) which used to cost me less than $20 regularly.
But on that day the girls behind the counter charged me $68 for the same exact order that I always get with no reason or explanation to be offered even after wondering about the price multiple times.
Out of courtesy and respect to the owner of the place, I just paid my check, did not complain about it further more and left the store making sure that this is my last time to be there because I m totally against ripping off and cannot tolerate the nonsense of the unexperienced workers (girls) behind the counter.

This place is family owned and they treat you like family! The staff welcoming and hospitable. The dining experience are divine everytime. It will exceed all your expectations.

Frank & company get it right all the time. This is not only an establishment, but a culture in genuinely good food. In life, you get what you pay for, and in Paneantico's you do as well. From mouth watering, two hand sandwiches, to fresh salads and antipasto, back to the prepared hot food bar and seafood specialties, your money is well spent here. Finish it off with pastry from their delectably manicured showcase, and you've officially spoiled yourself.

Sandwiches were excellent. Bought 4 pastries.
2 were stale. Soggy like they've been there a while

Literally just leaving the restaurant..7:54p . Girl tells me they are closing the restaurant. No sandwich only hot food. What the hell, since when? Then says they close early because it's winter. Um April 5th is spring. Never had this issue and I always come at this time...all seasons. Maybe update your hours so I don't drive all the way from Flatbush to be turned away.

Amazing Italian food. Pastries, bread, salads, you name it. Would definitely recommend. Been going here for about years now and the food never gets old!!

These are some of the best sandwiches ever. I'm not mad for the pastries, but they'll do in a pinch. Be prepared to wait for your food. Even when it's not terribly packed it takes a while to get a cold cut hero. But every single time it's worth it. The balsamic vinegar is outstanding- and totally worth buying a bottle to bring home. I'm also thrilled that they are now on grubhub and seamless and deliver.

An earlier review mentioned the smell outside of the place.... That was due to a collapsed sewer main that's been repaired since the review was written. The lingering stink that used to be on that corner is gone.

Everything that I ordered was Fresh and Spectacular. Absolutely recommend this Bakery...

Food is good but a bit over priced. My singular experience that stood out oneday was I wanted to try something new but I wasn't sure if I would like and didn't want to commit to the huge portion size. I asked the well mannered young lady if I could just try a small broken piece of the crumb and was told politely I would have to be charged for the crumb of pastry that wasn't gona be sold anyway or she could get in trouble None the less, everyone has policies right I just thought that was a bit stringent.

I always make the drive to Brooklyn for the freshest cannolis at Paneantico.

Great food pizza is nice salads r great also a large selection of sandwiches on fantastic bread u will like the portions and price. This place is always a great choice. U going to love it!

Food is really good and price is decent.
Tuna salad is one of my favorite. Pretty generous. The Bakery is the best in the area, the biscuits and cookies taste incredible. The Cheesecake is very well executed and you have a great selection too.
Too bad the place is getting a lil too old. Should look way nicer for the quality of the food is too good !!

It s one of my favorite neighborhood spots during the warm weather when you can sit outside. The food is good, but the service is terrible. If you re not doing a take out, be prepared to wait at least 20 min to be served and then another 30 min for your food, even if it s just a tuna salad that I usually get from them. Their cappuccino is excellent but I wish that they would offer milk alternatives like soy or almond.

The food there is always good, and so is the coffee. Just a little over priced, and always a wait to get a cramped table.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything looks so good it's hard to decide.

Great place for delicious meals and desserts, the breakfast or lunch menu will make you lose your mind.

The service and atmosphere were great. The bread is great but I was not a fan of the chicken parm hero. I am a huge chicken parm fan and this place does not make the cut. The chicken, bread and cheese were good but the sauce completely ruins it. It's a very large sandwich and it looks delicious but it had a sour/acidic taste almost like it was just tomato paste with some water. I'd definitely go back for bread, pastries and cakes but not the chicken parm. To be fair they have many other options for sandwiches that you might like but I don't - so don't be scared to stop in and try the other options.

The food is amazing. Never disapointed. The house salad and meatballs are off the hook. A huge variety to choose from. I highly recommend.

I wish I had heeded the warnings of another customer when ordering a cake. I ordered a carrot cake on a Tues for Sat at 1:00. The one in the display case was beautiful with 8 carrots in icing around the cake. I also requested a Happy Birthday ornament to be placed in the middle.I paid for the cake in advance. I then stopped in 3 days later to confirm the order, then arrived on Sat on time to pick up the cake. It was very busy and was told I had to wait on the long line of people ordering hot food, deli items and bakery. Seriously? After 25 minutes on the line I was told my cake wasn t ready . My gut feeling was that they either didn t make it or it was given away to a customer. Three hours later they delivered a cake that looked nothing like what I ordered. I was furious so I called the store and asked for the manager. He refused to get on the phone and had some guy from behind the counter take the call. He was not relaying the correct information to the manager as I could hear him. I kept asking to speak to the manager who was obviously nearby. Then they just hung up on me. That cake wasn t cheap. It was for my brother in law s 70th Birthday party. I will not be ordering from them again. Lesson learned: pay attention to negative reviews.

The cafe has table service which precludes you from buying a simple coffee and sitting down. This is something I can't get used to unless they renovate. I've been there to order pastries and coffee to go in the past, and they have an antiquated system. Starbucks is across the street which I'm sure doesn't help. I'd probably come here for lunch but i don't see that happening any time soon.

We come here often! The sandwiches are yummy, and they have fresh baked bagels and pastries. They are a true Italian deli, and the desserts are really incredible as well. Definitely recommend when nearby. It can be a bit pricey, though.

Large selection of baked goods and treats. There is an even large selection of sit down menu items! Can be a bit crowded but your patience for a table to be rewarded!

Be aware when ordering cakes custom made, they will charge you through the roof and the girls are not capable to take order properly, explain what you are getting and how much it will cost upfront. It's a surprise at the time you pick it up. I wanted 2 cheesecakes that are bigger than what they regularly sell that is 8'', they offered to order a 10''. I asked how much they said they don't know yet. I figured a regular is about $25 and $18, so I'll pay a little more . They ended up charging me $150 and it was too late to do anything about it and they refused to do anything about it and pretty much made it my problem. Partial store credit is what I expected to keep me as a customer but was declined.

Loved the menu and atmosphere. The pastries are a feast for the eyes. Bought a bottle of their spectacular balsamic vinegar as a gift.

This place makes the best and most gigantic sandwich I've probably ever had. Which is why I endure the painful service. I have called to place an order as I leave my home and still been on hold when I get there 15 min later. Wouldn't mind so much as the servers are understandably busy, but space is so limited in there. It's rough, but the food is so worth it.

Amazing food but absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE. The service gets worse and worse as the time goes on. It took me 27 minutes to get a heated rice ball. 20 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese! If you dine inside, sometimes you wait 15-30 minutes just to get a server. They are very lucky the food and pastry is good

Wether you want really good pastries and cake, or Italian food and heros (the chicken parmesan hero is huge and amazing), or a cappuccino, this place makes is all. Love it, a neighbor gem!

Muffins are to die for, coconut, pistachio, banana nut, cappuccino, chocolate chip.

Amazing breads, especially the chocolate loaf.

A bay ridge staple. The pastries are fresh delicious and tasty . The bread is extra special . The focaccia well words just cant do it justice. Prepared salads and other snacks available. Also on call is a wide selection. of sandwiches hot and cold.
I haven't been awhile but returning today was a real treat . Happy to see the food still tastes great ....

Great freshly prepared food, for a variety of specialty sandwiches. Freshly baked deserts, and bread. A gourmet espresso bar complement a high quality experience for a casual lunch.

Order to go or sit and enjoy so many of the great baked goods.

A bit pricey but understandibly.. seating is a bit tight but food was good and the services were very friendly..

We love Paneantico! The cannolis here are the best I've ever had, and that's no exaggeration. Our out-of-town guests always make it a point to pick up a box when they leave Bay Ridge. We also love their sandwiches and many of the prepared foods - my kids are huge fans of the fried chicken, and my husband loves their tuna mozarella sandwiches. A neighborhood gem year-round!
