Panama Joes Review

Went here for happy hour. They have buy 1, get one for .25c. I was not impressed. Their drinks are small and watered down, they do not have servers (most order at the bar), and they reserve their tables for parties that call in. If you are seated at a table that someone reserved, you must move when they show up, even if you were there before the table was reserved. Not cool. They do have free chips and salsa, that was a plus.

Pretty packed, overall a good time there with friends. Highly recommend. Although I do wish they had some fries or something to snack on

The bouncers here are anti-gay as a gay male they kicked me out for dancing on a girl , this was the second time . There are women who are being groped and and they do nothing about it people who are throwing up in the restrooms and they don't care but the moment a male grinds on a female you're to drunk it's ridiculous.!!!!

Horrible service. I didn't get 1 refill of my water within an hour and a half meal. The waitress took our chips, said she would return with more, and it never came. The meal took over 40 minutes to arrive.

Also, the "Mexican" food is generic, bland, and overpriced.

If this place didn't have bottomless, I doubt they'd get much business.

Bartenders should be able cut people off as soon as they notice customers acting stupid.

Gets too crowded at night on the bar side. Bartenders are quick tho.

Great place, but try to get there early Or you'll end up standing in line for an hour. Be careful on your way home," Police " have a designative driver. Other than that, you'll have a blast. I didn't try the food, I was to busy drinking.

great drinks here, amazing atmosphere. free nachos with good salsa too. need three people to order a large drink which is odd to me. conversely, gets kind of loud on weekends and Friday night and there can be a significant wait for a dining table during peak hours as well.

Great for when you want to grab a fishbowl and dance all night. It does get extremely crowded though.

Great Place to grab lunch or dinner.

This was my spot when I lived in LBC, more of a younger demo at night older during the day. But the food is awesome and fairly priced and bartenders are super fun

Honestly the worst place I've ever been to. Terrible drinks and very rude staff. I would recommend people going to any bar in the area but this one.

Let's start with the brunch. $6.00 for an hour of mimosas and a very hardy breakfast eggs,pancakes, sausages, hash browns and the breakfast burrito will send you home for a nap I don't care who you are. Free chips and salsa and a $9 Bloody Mary bar! two-for-one happy hours and something like 50 or 60 TVs to watch the games. And whether you're a male or a female the eye candy staff are amazing! Really fun joint

Stopped by this past Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by both the freshness of the food and the amazing service. First of all, ice cold beers, a rarity in restaurants these days! Met Fab, one of the owners and he made sure everything from table placement, to drinks and food were handled properly and expeditiously. Panama Joe's has a great weekend vibe and I'll be visiting again very soon. Great experience!

Awesome place! Only dislike is being carded coming in and carded at the bar. Like it s 9:30pm you asked for our ID when we came in why ask for it again. Sheesh! Only one bartender asked.

Here right now. Paid $10 for entry. $9 for 8 ounce cup of IPA . They are currently playing Africa by some 80's band. Before that a Gwen Stefani slow song and a long list of outdated songs that you can't dance to. Such a wack experience. Wack DJ. Never coming back

Which genius decided to open at 8am when the game starts at 8am. Common sense would have said, open 15-30 min earlier. Oh well, common sense doesn't always prevail.

Fish tacos and chips and salsa were good but the enchiladas were not so hot!! Drinks were disappointing as well! Great atmosphere tho!!

Panama Joe's is great to place to hang out with friends. It was my first time going to Panama Joe's. I will definitely be going back.

Great and plentiful breakfasts, great service and love the bottomless champagne and the televised sports.

Everything was pretty good, but the prices have gone up significantly since I was last there. I can no longer call this the best brunch spot in LB. I think they attempted to make the food "fancy," but I wouldn't pay for it again.

The staff here is wonderful. The food is delicious and can be made according to your preferences. Nice view of 2nd street and the passersby. Great margaritas and the bartender rocks! We tried every type of taco and will be going back!

Been loving this joint since the mid 90s. One of the few fun places left on 2nd street. Of course the crowd is much younger now but it's still a good place to get a drink, listen to music and be amused by the drunk college kids.

Food it's ok. I don't like the fact that sometimes they charge cover, like depending how packed it is. Sometimes is very loud

Left my purse on the bar counter and the bartender was quick enough to notice and put it in a safe place. I called in the morning and they had it! It was left untouched, everything was in it!! Thank you guys!

Food was good, but they change the drink price on the weekend and you only find out when your bill arrives. I find that incredibly dishonest and would not return for that reason.
