I never write bad reviews, I have no choice to write the truth, which is bad for me,
. GCI contacted me May 2015, saying I would reduce my electric bills if I have solar installed by them. They did the analysis, and said I would produce 8600KW per year, and that my PG&E bill would go down to fist tier. They installed 29 panels, and I pay Sunova $155 per month, which increases. I was paying $300 a month to PG&E before solar. The first year the solar panels produced less then 30% of what GCI promised. GCI messed up the shade analysis is possible, or there is another problem. will the solar panels ever produce what they said i do not know yet. .
I now pay PG&E over $200 a month, and Sunova, $159. I am paying more for electric, then before GCI contacted me. My Sunova bill will double over years to come. I believed GCI when they said they would reduce my bills,
October 7 received calls from sunova and GCI they are trying to help me. Which is good. I have changed the rating of my review to 3 stars. if they can get the production up will change to 5 stars. they may have to change the system so each panel produces instead of a string system, they might have to add panels.
overall I just want the system to produce what was expected. the panels look fine on the roof, as far as i can tell.
what i worry about is 15 years from now, when i am paying sunova 250 a month, will the panels be producing so i have very little i owe pg&e. this is more a concern. time will tell. i hope i do not have to move from the home i love because i added solar.
